Thank you! It is refreshing to see a fellow full-time working dad of toddlers doing content creation. Getting that hobby time in requires the careful planning you demonstrate here. You are an inspiration.
Been watching for a while , not that confident when it comes to commenting , great work dude considering all your commitments with being a dad and working , love the colour scheme , I've got a lot of undead minis in my pile of shame lol , I set myself a challenge of painting a box of Nids in seven days , I'm chronically unwell and limited as a result , so I understand pushing through when you want to give up , inspiring dude , nice one 😊
Absolutely loved this video Nick! I am slowly working on getting my speed up and seeing your processes in action really helps me find places to speed up my workflow.
This is crazy cool. I love your method for tracking time, it's super motivating to see the progress when you actually track it. Amazing job getting the army together, Tomb Kings are awesome and you put together a fantastic force! Can't wait to see what you work on next ❤️
Loved watching this come together, the minis looked great too. I need to schedule in some planned time rather than squeezing in painting between videos
Great job and very inspiring. Way more honest than the '24 hours to do an army' videos. Makes me feel like I could actually achieve something like this if I push myself.
@15:01 Wow, that's a ton of particles left over! I've never heard of straining airbrush primer before, but I also stick with Vallejo airbrush primer which doesn't usually clog for me. I wonder if that's just a thing with certain brands like AK.
@@CCMinis Same, their black primer has been nothing but flawless. I've had the most problem with Badger's airbrush primer due to what I think is just being really thick but now I wonder if it was actually what you encountered.
Great job, Gouache Boss - imagine how fast you could have been if you didn’t have to film it - thanks for taking that extra time so you could share it with us - you must just love excel, work with it or both, because you’ve put together some detailed spreadsheets these last couple videos - must have some process engineering experience 😄
I can't recommend enough molotow one4all refill as an airbrush primer. First saw it used by Marco Frisoni, and then when I tried it, I thought it was magic. Best primer for minis by FAR.
I believe painting stripes felt so bad because it was repetitive work that still demanded attention. The army looks great! I really like the red-green contrast for the decorations.
Thank you and yes! I actually just finished painting the nurgle spearhead before starting this video, that one should be out sometime next month (in theory)
Absolutely love your content man. The pacing is a breath of fresh air. Gonna respectfully disagree with you on the closed eco system of heygears resin/slicer. It's all fine and good until they stop producing resin and you're stuck. I also love the freedom of finding a resin that works for me as opposed to being told what to use. That's just me though, once you're happy with it, you do you :)
@@CptSpaulding22 no varnishing needed for these, especially because I'm relying on the different finishes (matt vs satin) and how they'll interact with the wash. I usually let them dry / cure over night at least, but it doesn't need to be totally dry / cured to start the removal process
I really identify with this video...I painted 4000 points of printed Stormcast for the new edition last month, and when the rules were finally out, there were quite a few models that aren't seeing the table. This month, I've done 5 Spearheads, those are guaranteed value! Incredible video, keep up the data-driven grind!
@@CCMinis Ghamak's Spartancast is a good range. One of his spearmen is incorrectly merged, and you can use the parts to build whatever kind of Stormcast you want!
So Mannfred is just a normal Vampire, on a normal base size. Rule of cool, that model is awesome so it wouldn’t matter to me, but some people might complain about using a too large model/base. Hopefully none of them are at your local club. 😂
@@CCMinis Mannfred became a Mortarch? Oh shit. I was thinking of his brother, the angry Von Carstein. The model is about to drink a big blob off blood that's dripping from his 2 swords? Konrad! My bad.
