Thanks, Richard. Still don’t fully understand the radio so I did well lol. And it was great to catch Simon he has a super RUclips channel all about satellites.
Well done Chris. Very nice rig. I have the same microphone on my Retevis RT95, which can have an alignment issue between the microphone case and the actual element inside it, resulting in muffled audio. I had to drill out the 'mic' hole in the case slightly to alleviate this.
Touchy volume controls that can't be set low enough seem to be a common problem these days, now that today's rigs are usually using digital controls rather than analog pots. My Anytones suffer from the same problem. So did my TYT DMR radios, but OpenGD77 firmware has virtually eliminated the problem. The price of progress, I suppose!
Yes, the low volume is not too much of an issue. I have got to say things and point stuff out. That is not perfect. I can't just say everything is great. Friendly constructive criticism. But you're right. Most of these radios have the problem nowadays, because they use digital encoders. Thanks for watching
@@digitalanaloguehamradio found it, put it in memory mode and push and hold the volume button on which ever side you want to stay in memory mode or VFO mode you can have one side in memory mode and one in VFO mode or both in memory mode or both in VFO mode now if I can figure out how to get it to turn on on the same channel it was on when I shut it off I will be good to go. 73

Strange did not hear your sig on down link while you were transmitting?
Yes, I noticed that I think it’s because the squelch was up. A few minutes before that, I did a test and you heard the other vfo fine
It looks like the Kenwood 733
rebranded anytone 888 thx mate
Is there a need for Squelch on the rx..?
Not when doing satellite mode but I enabled it, so it did not drown out my voice whilst making the video.
Chris Great one ..till next one M8
Thanks mate awesome
Does your turn on in memory mode? mine always turns on in VFO mode I must be missing a setting somewhere.
I'm not sure i'm not home at the moment. Check in the p c software. If there is a setting, come on on a certain channel or mode
