I would definitely like to see something like a DPS tier list for weapons with their respective combat style relics. There’s gotta be a lot of weird obscure 5-tick weapons that are better than their 4-tick counterparts now.

One thing to keep in mind as well from Morytania is Bloodbark Armor. It is stronger than mystic, nearly par with infinity, and slightly worse than Ahrim. The extra lifesteal makes it mage's best way to go from low health to max with blood spells. Splitbark is also best in slot for entangling imps if going very imp heavy without Tricketer. It commonly isn't used over Graceful in the main game, but with infinite run energy it has no drawback.
This'll be my first Leagues so I've been looking for exactly these types of vids to help make a decision on what regions to go. Long time RS player but only started playing osrs about a month ago so I haven't done any bossing yet except Hespori and Obor which barely count.. Thank you for these deep dives! You're in for a real treat with leagues, you really can't go wrong on your picks so just enjoy it and find some content you want to try out and experience.
Nobody should ever manually gather buckets of slime in OSRS. Charter ships sell them. It's also generally faster for a specific item to kill all brothers even if you don't need their item because you get a bonus 7th roll for killing all 6 brothers. Maybe it's different in leagues because last recall so if you're just killing like one brother and immediately looting the chest you can get a hundred or so checks per hour, but in the main game, it's always worth it to do all 6.
Just couple of notes zealot robes count for sacrificing it at altar too, its really underrated especially for ironmen! For collecting slime you can buy it from the charter ship Great vids as always. These coming out so fast 😂
14:20 you can just buy a bunch of buckets of slime from charter shops which is waaay faster, you can still use last recall but it's just faster to do it from a bank. Or if you have the bank note relic you can set your last recall to upstairs and save the handful of ticks running to the grinder instead :p

Also I think that all the melee barrows sets/weapons will be pretty good early on with the melee relic especially if you don't have access to defenders. One small correction, Canifis is best for Marks of Grace until you unlock Ardougne rooftop which narrowloy beats it. But then the rate increases by 25% when you complete the Elite Ardougne diary. Not that marks of grace matter anyway if you're like and don't have Asgarnia lol
Thanks for correcting that! I forgot about the elite diary buffing ardy which definitely blows it out of the water, and i felt the ardy course being super marginally better than it wasn't worth mentioning since you'd obviously do ardy course over canifis anyways haha

A QoL tip that would be nice for any future ones (especially if you do one on specific quest rewards) would be to show the quest rewards on screen + multipliers, just to save us the calculation (and most people remembering what the tiers of exp multipliers are).

I wouldn't underestimate the power of full Torag's. Sure, the set effect is useless, but with the Amulet of the Damned it gets more than a small defense boost. It's a +1% per health missing! That may sound small, but considering Torag's armor at a base already is the most defensive armor set, and that with melee you already get a +50% defense bonus, these bonuses will stack multiplicatively. So you can be a supertank at even just half health. The main thing holding people back from ever using this effect in the main game is the 5tick speed on hammers. Bringing it to the same speed as a whip goes a long way to closing the gap. The whip will still usually be better, but Torag's Hammers could actually be one of your best options for crush weapons unless you get a bludgeon or inquisitor's mace. If I manage to get the set, I'm going to try it out at Nightmare! If we get a Knife's Edge relic like I suspect, then this becomes even better since you already want to stay at lowish health for this set effect. Verac's set is in a similar boat. Dragon Long + defender is better against low health enemies, but beyond a certain defense threshold (or against crush weak targets) Verac's set will be a significant improvement. You can also use the set against the Kalphite Queen to hit through her prayer in the second phase, without having to switch to a ranged setup.
After you mentioned how ToA would be easier with a dedicated player on ranged, it truly got me to reconsider my 3rd region option. I am definitely taking Kourend and Desert with the range relic. Originally, my 3rd pick was going to be Tyrannwn, but since 5tick weapons are so strong, I then considered skipping it to take Asgarnia instead. But if I take Morytania, I would have access to all 3 raids o.o As I have never done any raids ever, this looks pretty intimidating in terms of how many points I may be able to acquire, but it also seems like a great way to learn them all!
with the triple raid route, remember its a limited time game mode, go for what you want to learn and what you find the most intimidating if you feel like you wont have enough time. Toa has a built in easy mode, Tob and chambers are a lot harder to learn overall
Yeah it's probably comparable with like Kodai wand, which only trailed behind shadow by like 20% or so. This may even be better with the special attack so that's why it's a bit up in the air right now, didnt even realize it could autocast ancients though so thanks for letting me know
my original plan was to pick kandarin as a starter then lead into the main course asgarnia, and as the dessert, the desert. but now i'm kind of reevaluating the whole asgarnia thing... mortania brings slayer, several layers of bossing, and some great endgame experience...
Morytania is the melee region, with a few benefits for mage as well, since i'm bad at bsses/reflexes i'm not sure i will choose this one, still it's a very interesting region to choose, especially if you are going for a melee build
Goodmorning! It’s so hard to decide a 3rd pick on any combat style. Feels like no matter which path you go there’s 2 regions that are basically required and then the 3rd is completely your preference on which tasks you will enjoy doing the most
I think i like that though since the first 2 are really important sure (but you get to choose between 3 different combat styles so it's not like you're forced to) and then the 3rd could literally be anything you enjoy doing.
In both leagues 2 and 3, with the big exp multipliers, repairing the temple in Morton gives 100k+ crafting exp per hour. It's very afk and costs almost no resources
I'm really thinking about building up a KAM melee account on the side. Trickster giving essentially infinite blood furies would be so fun and make the account very afk outside of TOB/nightmare.
If anyone didnt know karils crossbow is basically a magic shortbow with an extra max hit, its not brilliant but good for low defence slayer, I used it for dragon warhammer grind on iron as no blowpipe
Karils was very fun last league with Amulet of the damned and ranged relic - though i mostly used it for slayer, and then you had the slayer helmet also. But off task off boss it was quite good! Seeing as RCB and ZCB etc will be 2 tick now, it might not be that great this time. But still, very fun to use!
Im going mage K+D but im torn between Zeah, Fremmy, and Morytania as my third region. Im not interested in ToB or Nightmare, but ahrims and the black mask, as well as decent prayer training in ecto and shades, are all tempting. Fremmy has lunars, magus ring, and the construction shop. Zeah has a billion things to do, wt and CoX are the main ones im interested in. Idk what the hell im gonna do.
One important note: Access to the blood altar REQUIRES Desert as GotR is the only way to get a blood/catalytic talisman. Additionally the morytania legs 2 gives 5 teleports to the ecto slime pit and legs 4 makes it unlimited.

Guthan's sounds so fun! Not only are you gonna lifesteal a ton but because you're doing like 2.5x the damage of normal, you're also getting 2.5x the lifesteal
Great video again! I was thinking that the bloodbark would have been worth mentioning, but its droprate does not seem to be boosted? With boosted rates for barrows its probably easier to just get ahrims, but maybe some one can think of a life-stealing mage in full bloodbark with a sanguisti staff.
Bloodbark will be boosted i believe, i took a bit of a look at it but wasn't sure just how important it would be compared to just getting ahrim's as a mage gear.
Would love getting a Scythe for my melee build, but my friends aren't rolling Mort so imma settle for a godsword and fang :D bet it'll still be a ton of fun. Not that much intriguing me this leagues from Morytania if I were to be there Solo
Oh man now I'm actually thinking of getting K again over D. I went from KAM to DAF to AMD to KAM again over the course of a week. 🤣What does D really give me? I will get the guthan's set anyway before I do ToA so is the Fang really still necessary before I advance to scythe? Might as well pick a better support region which will BLAST my melee stats up to 60s and 70s in the first 5 hours of the league with quests, pick up Piety and a cannon. Speaking of which, maybe that pushes me over the edge for Production instead of Trickster since the former is so powerful especially for cannonballs. Smithing and herblore will be a huge pain otherwise. I can still get my blood shards from afking Sentinels. Thieving and firemaking are easy anyways, hunter will be much more managable wit K unlocked and agility will be done with lamps after which I'll only have to do Ardougne rooftops and Sepulchre (unfortunately for the tasks) to 99.

I'm set on going K+A for a ballista build, but there isn't a 3rd zone that has piqued my interest. All the other zones have huge turn-offs. Wildy: griefing Mory: ToB & Nightmare Kourend: CoX Tirannwn: Gauntlet & Zulrah Desert: ToA Fremennik is alright, but it was one of my picks during the 1st trailblazer (I would ideally want another region). Any tips?
Historically in past leagues PvPers die off later into the leagues, so Wilderness could be a good 3rd pick for the webweaver bow and has a LOT of different bosses if you enjoy PvM. Wildy cave enemies also give blighted food/restores so you can likely stay there for slayer tasks without the need for supplies. Looting bag allows for longer trips w/out banking if you don’t take endless harvest or personal banker.
Amazing video and info, but, unfortunately for me, it just makes my region selection even more difficult. As a meleescaper I was avoiding KAM playstyle but it really seems like its the best option for that style. Not sure if i should just skip Kandarin for Desert or if its even viable because getting a soul reaper axe thru levi or whisperer without melee sounds awful, plus kandarin gives you Access to giant chunks of Overall content, torture and piety, which is a big L. On the flipside AMD or ADM gives you two raids + barrows + nightmare + full GWD, seems really grindy point wise so i might just go KAM for simplicity sake but AMD seems kinda spicy and different from what i was planning. Really unsure on what to pick this league, i really wanted to test soulreaper with all the leagues bonuses but unsure if its even viable, lets hope tasks/relics reveal help us getting a better perspective on what to do. Last league i got bored after starting TOB but this time im aiming for rune trophy at least, lets see whats going to happen. ALSO guthans+blood fury and last recall for a pray altar makes you immortal ahahaha, good luck everyone and have fun this league, really hyped!
I can see a world where soloing ToB is soloable reliably, even as an avarage player. idk if that's for better or for worse, but having friends might not be as crucial as we think :^)
if you know what you're doing it's probably gonna be real quick, plus a purple every other raid is insane. Just i wouldn't recommend learning ToB solo, nylos room gonna fuck your day up
Your new videos seem to have corrections and info you didn't mention in your previous videos. It would maybe be helpful to make a video just before leagues compiling all the corrections and info you forgot to mention.
it's a bit tricky right now since all the info changes super fast, and new relics come out that kinda flip the script on a lot of things, so my best solution has been to just try and correct stuff if i catch it. I like the idea of 1 video at least just going over all the changes/mistakes I've made so that it's in one place

I surely hope they won't make BS tasks like 500 ToBs again. Let's say you can play 5 hours per day on average (most people have a job or exams, other personal responsibilites, family gatherings on christmas and new year etc), that's 5x55 days = 275 hours for the entire league. Realistically with banking that's 2 raids per hour assuming there is a learning curve. That's 250 hours or 200 if you're experienced for 500 ToBs. Impossible. 100 should be a realistic maximum and maybe a 200 master task for the nolifers. No more. No grind should be longer than 50 hours because you can only pick 2 or 3 grinds like that. The rest of the time must be spent building the account and completing tasks. The same goes for stuff like 750 giant moles, 1000 DKs etc.

With the first Trailblazer league I was extremely inexperienced and only really picked it for Barrows gear so I was missing out on a lot of potential

FYI the regular nightmare staff gives the 15% magic damage and can auto cast ancients. If you have mage relic this is likely best dps behind shadow

This is jamflex we're talking about, i guarantee you harms buff is happening after sorceres buff, itl go from 5 to 2, and harm will take it to 1t lmao

I think there might be a relic where if a person gets a purple you also get a purple, or maybe possible to get 2 purples in a single tob/cox/toa raid

Even with 5x drop rate I went dry on the many morytania grinds. Which all the big tasks required... I don't want to take this region again

Oh man now I'm actually thinking of getting K again over D. I went from KAM to DAF to AMD to KAM again over the course of a week. 🤣What does D really give me? I will get the guthan's set anyway before I do ToA so is the Fang really still necessary before I advance to scythe? Might as well pick a better support region which will BLAST my melee stats up to 60s and 70s in the first 5 hours of the league with quests, pick up Piety and a cannon. Speaking of which, maybe that pushes me over the edge for Production instead of Trickster since the former is so powerful especially for cannonballs. Smithing and herblore will be a huge pain otherwise. I can still get my blood shards from afking Sentinels. Thieving and firemaking are easy anyways, hunter will be much more managable wit K unlocked and agility will be done with lamps after which I'll only have to do Ardougne rooftops and Sepulchre (unfortunately for the tasks) to 99.

I'm set on going K+A for a ballista build, but there isn't a 3rd zone that has piqued my interest.
All the other zones have huge turn-offs.

Fremennik is alright, but it was one of my picks during the 1st trailblazer (I would ideally want another region).

Historically in past leagues PvPers die off later into the leagues, so Wilderness could be a good 3rd pick for the webweaver bow and has a LOT of different bosses if you enjoy PvM. Wildy cave enemies also give blighted food/restores so you can likely stay there for slayer tasks without the need for supplies. Looting bag allows for longer trips w/out banking if you don’t take endless harvest or personal banker.
Kind of a let down we have to do quests. I don't remember having to do any major quests in the last league.
some of the other zones like desert have way less, I like to put them right at the start since that's a deal breaker for many

Amazing video and info, but, unfortunately for me, it just makes my region selection even more difficult. As a meleescaper I was avoiding KAM playstyle but it really seems like its the best option for that style. Not sure if i should just skip Kandarin for Desert or if its even viable because getting a soul reaper axe thru levi or whisperer without melee sounds awful, plus kandarin gives you Access to giant chunks of Overall content, torture and piety, which is a big L. On the flipside AMD or ADM gives you two raids + barrows + nightmare + full GWD, seems really grindy point wise so i might just go KAM for simplicity sake but AMD seems kinda spicy and different from what i was planning. Really unsure on what to pick this league, i really wanted to test soulreaper with all the leagues bonuses but unsure if its even viable, lets hope tasks/relics reveal help us getting a better perspective on what to do. Last league i got bored after starting TOB but this time im aiming for rune trophy at least, lets see whats going to happen.

Personally im a pretty big fan of DAM right now, seems like the best of both worlds (fang + scythe) and kandarin kinda shitty for melee LOL
I can see a world where soloing ToB is soloable reliably, even as an avarage player. idk if that's for better or for worse, but having friends might not be as crucial as we think :^)
if you know what you're doing it's probably gonna be real quick, plus a purple every other raid is insane. Just i wouldn't recommend learning ToB solo, nylos room gonna fuck your day up

Your new videos seem to have corrections and info you didn't mention in your previous videos. It would maybe be helpful to make a video just before leagues compiling all the corrections and info you forgot to mention.
it's a bit tricky right now since all the info changes super fast, and new relics come out that kinda flip the script on a lot of things, so my best solution has been to just try and correct stuff if i catch it. I like the idea of 1 video at least just going over all the changes/mistakes I've made so that it's in one place

So you mine the shards, then that becomes essence to use, but i read it can't be used for zeah only for regular altars.

I surely hope they won't make BS tasks like 500 ToBs again. Let's say you can play 5 hours per day on average (most people have a job or exams, other personal responsibilites, family gatherings on christmas and new year etc), that's 5x55 days = 275 hours for the entire league. Realistically with banking that's 2 raids per hour assuming there is a learning curve. That's 250 hours or 200 if you're experienced for 500 ToBs. Impossible. 100 should be a realistic maximum and maybe a 200 master task for the nolifers. No more. No grind should be longer than 50 hours because you can only pick 2 or 3 grinds like that. The rest of the time must be spent building the account and completing tasks. The same goes for stuff like 750 giant moles, 1000 DKs etc.
