Both sound wonderful. Playing over the head sounds like playing inside a rail car, while playing over the scoop sounds like playing while sitting on top of a rail car.
Always wanted to play banjo...but...im enjoying the dulcimer lessons you have...and soon i'll have a lap jo ..maybe i will sound banjo cool...thank you for the video
You certainly will sound banjo cool! 😎
I love both sounds! For me scruggs vs clawhammer is an eternal conundrum. I wish I had a second brain so I could learn them both without feeling like I'm see-sawing progress on which one I'm focusing :D. Thank you for your videos.
Thanks for the video I'm a beginner and appreciate the info. God Bless
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comparison! I'm a beginner and lucky to have two banjos - one with a scoop and one without. I find that I play over the head the most, but having a scoop available to mess around with is fun.
I’ve had scoops before too and I just normally always enjoy playing over the head. Thanks for commenting!
@@BanjoLemonade Thank you! I have learned more from you and Clifton Hicks than anyone else. You're a great teacher.
Great!
great video Mandy keep up the good work and I saw your kitty in the background
Hey Tyler, thanks!
@@BanjoLemonade you are welcome my friend God bless you sister
Would be nice to know what banjos are made with scoops.
😍 👏👏👏👏 Gracias!!!
Hello sister,, your banjo doesn't have a scoop to compare too.
I was hoping to see a scooped banjo and have it played over the head and the scoop.
