  • After leaving Barry and Death Valley Rollins and I made our way North towards Canada. Stopping in Utah for a rest just outside the Bonneville Salt Flats where with the help of campendium.com we found a free BLM boondocking spot. Quiet and Peaceful and Rollins got to explore. We also made a stop at the entrance to the Bonneville Speedway although unless you have a boat, you’re not going to be racing much.
GPS for where we camped: 40.785729, -113.952767

Just FYI The Great Salt Lake is always a lake and lies to the east. You pass along it's southern shore as you drive east out of SLC on I-80. The Bonneville Salt Flats do flood tho and need to dry out during the summer before you are allowed to drive on them.
