Stone Sour is just one of those vibes.. at first, it didn't really click with me either and I forget what song I heard that brought it together for me but I enjoy their mix of somber and anger.. like you get that Slipknot side but you also get the more vulnerable aspect as well and I dig it.
Stone Sour was again one of those "first" rock/metal bands for me. The tunes that drew me in were Through the Glass, Zzyzx Rd., and Bother. They're basically 3/4 of the softest songs on the first two albums. Bother was featured on one of the early Spiderman soundtracks, and the other two were big radio hits. Some of their metal has some real bite, but not quite like Slipknot.
Corey Taylor is one of top 3 favorite artists and really, really like him in Stone Sour. Yes, there are some very dark and depressive parts of Corey. But he's also very much himself with a lot of humor and not taking himself to serious. Plus he's very successful despite his messed up past and mental issues. So he's a good example that there's always hope. I'd love to see you react to more Stone Sour and Falling in Reverse. Greetings from Germany

Corey's voice is just so versatile; the guy is just incredible. I love Slipknot and love Story Sour, just depends on my mood. There's just something about Corey that is so special.
I struggle to listen to most of slipknot (I don’t know why but it makes me feel physically sick. Like there is too much going on). But stone sour I can listen to all day everyday. Corey’s voice is gorgeous. Saw them live in 2017 in Glasgow. Say you’ll haunt me, made of scars, gone sovereign absolute zero are some of my favs

Even tho I PERSONALLY PREFER Stone Sour to Slipknot I'm so happy that Slipknot is so very popular. Corey is very talented and a great guy ❤️.
