I've been wanting to pull the trigger on this for a while now but haven't yet because of how difficult it is to remove the pistol tube. I will need to get it to a gunsmith and while it's there, I'm going to chop the barrel down to flush with the handguard and attached a 3-lug muzzle device on it.
The tube wasn't too bad all things considered. A vise, heat, and patience is needed though. I'd also recommend a dedicated 9mm vise block. Heat gun is OK, but a torch is better. Going to pick one up.
Sadly, No on the charging handle. It's slightly smaller and proprietary. Yes on the safety, trigger, handguard, grip. Also be aware the design is slightly smaller than a standard AR9 setup so you can't swap other uppers on it. 608 is a steal though. I paid 749. I'd grab it. It's solid for what it is. As an alternative you can check out the Foxtrot Mike and the Angstadt Arms or go the build route.
@@jakemerica I build two AR9 with the New Frontier Armory lowers a few years ago that takes Glock and MP5 mag. I like the SAR109T because it uses the steel vertical colt mag. I like the look of it better than the Glock stick mag.
Should of got a Glock acceptable mags, but apparently you have a chubby for all metal. Is your Colt mag follower polymer.....you really have a club for metal and serialized parts. I got a FM-9 for my 50th bay. 2krds zero failures. SBR and can as well.
Nice, I just picked one up a few days ago.
Shoots great. Solid. I really like it. Buffer tube was a bitch to remove though. Lots of heat and patience required.

@@jakemerica I appreciate the info. Thanks
Didn't have a problem removing mine
The Sar 109T is a fine weapon
It's decent. It's no B&T, but as budget pcc It's alright.
Does an AR-15 charging handle work on this? Does it take AR-15 safety selector? $608 + shipping online right now.

Nope. Only down side.

SA isn't bad for the cash. Next one will likely be a B&T GHM9 (Glock compatible)
