I have really learnt alot through you , thank you so much. I have also did my collage project through your videos. 🥰 Keep helping us with your knowledge . Allah will help you 🤲
Thank you Dr. El Gamal. All your videos are very impactful. Please we need you to do lectures on shear walls, stair cases and pile designs. Also, if you can Eurocode equivalents of all your previous videos it will go along way in switching to Eurocode.
TO measure the strain in rebar, under uniaxial tensile test we usually attach strain gauge to measure longitudinal strain. However, these strain gauges wont work after yielding of the bar. How can we get the plot of graph once the strain gauge stop working because of it limited strain measuring capacity
The strain can be also measured by measuring the displacement using LVDTs or from the testing machine. Then strain can be calculated by (Change in length/ original length).
@@MrElgamal77 if using a UTM machine to record the stroke (change in length) and later calcluate find the strain from it i have been told that its not accurate as it captures the displacement at global level unlike strain which captures changes at local level. Can you guide about this error in UTM machine measurement which also account for the global deformation addition to deformation of the specimen.
Concrete is not a ductile material as steel. When we reach failure, concrete will not be in the elastic stage. Therefore, when we design, all codes allows only the tension failure (failure in steel) and do not allow the compression failure (in concrete)
Thanks sir appreciate as best way to explain Sir I have one doubt that for yield stress of steel the safety factor is 1.15 So 0.87 fy please clarify my doubt.
What a nice lecture you have done ! God blesses you and your efforts
So nice of you. Thank you for your support.

Thank you! Will do!
You can also share the knowledge by sharing the video and the channel with your colleges and friends.
بارك الله لك يا دكتور . وجزاك كل خير
Thank u sir for you come back, great knowledge you share with us.

Noted. Thanks
Thank you so much Dr Sherif. God bless you.
Good presentation prof. keep it up for us followers
Thanks 🙏
شكرا لك.. هل من الممكن اعطاء رابط افضل كتاب بحيث يكون مرجع..شكرا
Really good .. sir
Thanks and welcome

Thank you!, what software do you use to make those illustrations?
I am using PowerPoint. But it really takes too muck time.
@@MrElgamal77 oh PP...looks nice anyways!
sir partial safety of factor for steel is 1.15 or 1.05 which one is correct
thanks
1.05
Amazing
🇧🇩
Thanks sir appreciate as best way to explain
Sir I have one doubt that for yield stress of steel the safety factor is 1.15
So 0.87 fy please clarify my doubt.
In the BS code. The material safety factor for steel is 1.05 not 1.15. 1.15 is in other codes.
