Wiiviewr is totally right on this one. This is like baby's first racing game. It's slow, it's colorful, it's not to hectic, and it has a brand name character which is 70 percent the reason to buy it. You gotta take more notes of how your papa does these reviews mun. If he observed these games in the typical manner you would do the Wiiviewer wouldn't have made it past the Wii which was flooded with shovelware.
love how their version of rainbow road has security fences around it,dont want the little kiddies falling off and getting frustrated =) but at least it looks like a perfectly working playable kart game for children,id buy this for my babies and then introduce them to mario kart when they are old enough.
I'd like to disagree with you Wiiviewr. If I had a young daughter who was a gamer, I'd show a fellow gamer some respect and get her a better game (like Sonic And All Stars Racing Transformed, that's on the Wii U as well).

"For girls" is not an excuse for a game to be of poor quality. No one ever says "I'm okay with my children having a poor quality education", or "I'm fine with taking my child to a poor quality doctor", so why is poor quality acceptable for video games? If ANY parent let their child this game, male or female, it tells me that parent has absolutely no respect for their kid and doesn't care at all about the quality of their child's entertainment.

Something that wasn't mentioned is the AI can be really dumb. If you look on the minimap, you can sometimes see them stopped because they're driving into a wall or going the wrong way trying to turn back around. Speaking of the map, the reason for no Off TV Play is because the GamePad shows an up-close view of the map (or the full map if you tap it), just like in Mario Kart DS. Kinda pointless when there's one on the main screen.
So I found a wii u delux with nintendoland for 200 bucks. I'm worried about the lifespan of the system. Should I get it I just got a ps4. I will buy it with my own money split with my brother. It will be hard to explain to my dad why I just got a new system 4 months later. What do you think

The WiiU doesn't really have much racing games the only major racer on the WiiU is Mario Kart while on the other consoles/PCs there's Forza (Motorsport and Horizons) then The Crew and Need for Speed also Formula 1 don't for get Gran Tursimo. (sorry if I spelled trusimo wrong even spell checker could not get it right!)

Really? I would never play Hello Kitty Cruisers because this game is only really meant for little kids. I understand that it's trying to be like Mario Kart, but I rather play Mario Kart than a Hello Kitty racing game any day.

I would say that Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed is way too tricky and frustrating for a six year old girl...but that's just me.

if you look on the starting menu the penguins like "meh i could care less that i am here" and one of the maps looks like the D-pad on the wiimote
