Carl sagan now knows god exists
Sagan makes the point clearly and rationally. Which means he is preaching to the choir and has little chance of reaching irrational people (i.e., religious people).
For such people, who believe Gawd took an entire day to create the earth, sun and moon and then, in an afterthought, threw around some pixie dust to create the stars, I recommend ruclips.net/video/Z8BncJ7XMLk/видео.html After watching that you may feel humbled, but don't be. Because we used science (which we invented) to figure all that out. And, as far as we know, we may be the only beings in the universe who ever figured all of that out. That's something to be proud of.
If you watch that and still believe Gawd made the whole universe as a side-effect of making us, then you must believe your Gawd is incredibly wasteful. There are around 100,000 million galaxies and each galaxy contains, on average, 100,000 million stars. So 10,000 million million million stars when Gawd only needed to create the sun (and not even that if you take parts of the Babble literally and think you can have light without the sun).
If you don't like Gawd being so wasteful you can hypothesize he put life on planets around most stars. In which case did he fuck them up as badly as he fucked us up? Are there countless trillions of extraterrestrial Adams and Eves that disobeyed? Are there countless trillions of planets where he had to drown almost all life as a consequence of him fucking up with ET Adam and Eve? Are there countless trillions of planets where he had to sacrifice himself to himself as the only way of changing rules he himself set? Or did he get all the others right and he only fucked up with us? If so, that would make us very special, just as the religious think we are.
Why are students allowed to have a bible during testing?

Man think of what he is because man CAN think. Duh! Carl also advocated unilateral disarmament. He thought that the United States got rid of all it's nuclear arsenal that the Communists would too. He thought the US and the USSR were equivalent. Part of his passion for this prosaic erudition of his is found in that he married a novelist.
If Yahweh were a God, there would not be a nature outside of Himself.
