A Warrior chassis back in 2000. They both passed in May 2018, and when I watch your videos it reminds me of my childhood, and I think fondly of them. Two years later. Dirt Daddy is essentially out-of-the-picture. Moved out of big-shop into their own shop. Johnathon retired from teaching & bought a house with a shop. Jesse is a full-time streamer on Twitch. HTF has THREE Capitols racecars now. They are at Eldora right now. Lots of changes.
I was just rewatching these and I think the same thing it’s sad there not so tight with Dirt daddy in the videos but they have grown so much and I’m glad I’ve been able to watch their journey HTF NATION

Glad to see you got a new car and have some people helping you with Funding. I am 71 and been involved racing for most of my life. Dirt and road racing. I always wanted to drive but never had the funding so I became crew member and Crew chief. I have built cars one was a car we call skinny's. Because we (back in the late 60s) started with a leaf spring chassis and built from that. Our car we used a Corvair station wagon body and cut it down to around 20 inchs wide open wheel cars> there were a lot of other bodies. We also ran a wing. late (late 70s) I built a 4 coil chassis built suspension full size Pinto body 355 in Chevy. I built that car and was the crew chief. I built two supermodified cars. Built the chassis and the wings. These car out here in California are a sprint car with the bottom rails being 2"x 4" tubing. I was there crew chief. When I took over as their crew chief the season was two thirds over and he was 21st in the points The second race with me as crew chief was his first A Main win and we finished the season in Fifth in points. The next 6 years we were one of the top three teams. In car owner built the engines and we blew 4 to 5 engines a season. We could have won every year if he could keep the engine together.

Knowing how much Joseph wanted an XR1 and how much chassis/setup support means to you, I'm glad you didn't end up getting an XR1. I have no experience with Capitol but my experience with Rocket has been less than pleasant. No support whatsoever unless you pay them a good sum of cash. If you're not one of the big national touring teams, Rocket doesn't care about you.
Congrats on your new car. I am so very happy for Joseph! Joseph has become one of my favorite drivers in a very short time. My only regret is that I live to far away to have a chance to meet him & Jonathan. Really looking forward to watching you all get this car race ready.

Haven't been around the newer stuff for a few yrs... prob since the orange front Rocket was the newest stuff........ but not worked with 'em at all. That raised front, wow - that's gonna make a big difference, especially if ya ain't been able to "pin" that right front (fully). A lot of work getting all that changed over and ready. Do understand getting that chassis for the available help, that's awesome --- means everything and a wise decision. I have an older black front Rocket --- they said I needed to update for help........ so I changed to Lazer. Love watching Josh race and really have nothing against him/Mark ---- but Jim B will take the time if he can and will get back to ya asap, no matter the year!!!!
Smart move! Consolidate. Being spread too thin, takes away from what you are trying to accomplish. Go ahead and get you one those Jay Dickens or a Cornett.Get it ready and come back to Whynot for the Fall Classic in October.

Your boy Tennyson reminds me of growing up racing and I’m 35 n still race over n north/central fla but keep him in it which I know it’s n his blood now and they’ll be nothing but racing til he gets in his teens just be there for him let him make decisions but always do ur best to give him opportunities when u can as he gets older. You do a good job but learned from dirt daddy n he’s a good pops to learn from but my point is when it comes time ur boy gets to where he wants to go party (when he gets older lol) just always leave him the option of going to race with dad n uncle JoJo as his crew. My father never pushed me growing up to not party n was the type if i wasn’t in the shop every spare minute i had then it wasn’t enough but also chose to party sum of my years away n regret it but long rant and observation I know u got a long way to go b4 he’s n high school or parting age lol But I think the worse part of raising a kid is wanting him to do the right thing but u can’t force it in someone. I just regret my dad not coming to me n saying hey let’s get ready n go racing instead he let me do as I please n partied lil too much lol got sum good years of racing in but I’d be wag farther along but y’all are good people n good parents.. I come to Pensacola n look for joiner dump trucks thru Milton now lol I’ve spotted a couple of them
