Wow, that power brick is absolutely wild. I have never seen anything like it, it's so cool! But imagine if power plants in real life worked like that. "And over here is the main power production area, you don't want to go in there though, it's so cold that your blood will freeze in your veins haha." "What? Why?" "So that the carbon dioxide and junk will instantly freeze so we can easily move it." "Well, how do you pick it up if its that cold?" "Oh that's the easy part, we got a bunch of Roombas in there. They don't mind the hydrogen atmosphere at all." "....hydrogen atmosphere?"
You should move the automation from the petroleum generators to a pipe shutoff on the incoming petroleum. That way the generators use up everything in the pipes, and there is only petroleum let through when the batteries need more power.
Plumbing never needs to be pretty, especially when it's doing such cool things!! (Pun intended XD) Now I just need my current colony to reach super coolant level, lol. Tyfs! Hope you have a great week.
Damn! Jetpacks AND sweepies!? This is a real base! (also you should rotate the fuel and gaz, maybe with two layers of insulated tiles for a return line)
23:59 a pump can take multiple gasses in at the same time, it can only output 1 at the same time, if you have an high and low pressure gas, you can for example 100g and 900g packets alternating from the gas pump
You can use mini-gas pumps to empty out the last small amount of gasses in rooms. I usually do that since they are much faster when the amounts are that small.
I watched this entire serie in a single day 😎😂 New sub since the very first episode 💖 keep up the amazing work and fun, looking forward to see yah in my notifications! Greetings from Argentina 😊💕
@@EchoRidgeGaming Speaking of ideas on preheating the cold CO2 before introducing it to the slicksters, you could have placed the tepidizer powerhead right next to that magma block that gave you issues when you first created that ranch and thus warm it up for free until the heat from that section dies out.
Don't forget your petroleum generators are also a thermal conductor. If they're super cold, you can actually freeze the petroleum inside the generator. Edit: I didn't watch far enough, I see you discovered that.
3:15 - maybe put a door inside the bottom-most liquid lock to prevent slicksters from running through it and potentially peeing oil down your power shaft?
Good job on the cold brick. I like that design better than the FJ version he did on his Rime playthrough. Remember to not allow the normal pacu eggs coming from the unfed tank to your breeder hatchery. Seeds wont tame pacus only the algae will, so you need them tame from birth IE: coming from already tame pacus from the breeder tank.
Resin output from the tree varies with the calorie drop value of the food you feed it. It eats bbq at about 200kcal per bite, but raw food like grubfruit nuts at a much much lower rate. Once it's eaten enough kcal it drops its resin, so poorer food hinders output. I "think" it's consumption rate is 5% of the recipe portion drop of the food. Bbq is cooked in 4000kcal portions, so 200kcal bites. Because of this I cook grubfruit preserve on my home base and launch it to the tree roid.
Absolutely right. This is a good tip. For our purposes I am fine with the steady flow of population controlled pokeshells. Thank you for correcting what I said in the vid. Good looking out.
Thanks for the tip. Although I would still probably try to do it differently. I try hard not to repeat what others have done too much. It is there creation, and I would never want someone to think I created it without giving credit. Some things like the electrolyzer setup are too easy not to replicate... but I have a few ideas for those too.
@@EchoRidgeGaming i wouldn’t build greezys pokeshell setup, it’s too complicated, merely saying it was worth watching. yours is a good example of one thats easy to build. his shows what can be built
Megasode. For the super cold g Hydrogen, are you going to make a liquid hydrogen rocket too. Its quite far away so the juice might no be worth the squeeze
@@EchoRidgeGaming oh yeah, sorry I missed that part haha, I meant the single pipe segment that goes into the generator, keep up the great videos man! You have at least 1 fan in Australia haha
Why not use Gas/Liquid Shutoffs to control the flow of Petroleum/Nat.Gas just right outside the Power Brick? I was thinking the shutoffs would be controlled by the Smart Batteries on each level. It would waste some fuel but it's better than having solid blocks or broken pipes happening within the system. Anyways, fun to see you using both chilly and steamy variants of the power plants
someone forgot to cap the slickster tank that co2 pushed that oxygen out and now flooding the area with CO2. Just giving you hell I've done much much worst..... Or rather the duplicants did... Also when vacuuming out a large area yes more pumps will be faster. When you get down to miligrams the small pumps are a bit faster than the larger ones specially in a room with multiple gases. I mentioned in another episode think the last one I dunno I been binge watching during a slow day at work. But If would have made that conveyor system drop over next to that extremely hot wall segment and made it into a vacuum door metal tile heat transfer like you did with the ice box. Moment that cold co2 landed. automation would be like holy shit it got really cold open the doors for like a second blast it with that heat wave job done also way to morph into molten slicksters with different controls. Then you wouldn't need the space heaters. And have a way to start draining that heat from the wall.
i don't think you would need super coolant if you are just chilling water and co2 to ice. ethanol has a very low temperature so one should be able to run off of this as well.
I think it is the thermal conductivity that makes the super coolant shine in this setup, not necessarily low temps. But this way we get the bonus of freezing any oxygen or p.oxygen too :)
Why don't you just turn around your radbolt generators so that the part harvesting rads is in vacuum and get all the rads and add a reflector before the chamber to redirect them into it ? You will need to add a gas pump where you boil the resin because it will reach 150 kilos of steam and the volcano is going to overpressure, by doing so you will also have to deal with the 20 000g limitation from the atmo sensor and make sure the steam doesn't reach 180°c (melting point of Isoresin).
Good tip on the radbolt generator but I believe the heat is generated for the collection side. I will have to try it though! As for the steam in Iron volcano... we will long be not playing that map when that happens. The amount of resin coming in is insignificant to what that room will hold. Thank you fo the tips, keep them coming!
Instead of using smart batteries to control generators, use them to control valve on fuel source outside power brick. That way all fuel is used and pipe is empty?

But apart from those few, small things, it's a completely normal room /s ;)
Excellent comment, made me laugh!
Thanks for the laugh. hahaha.
HAHAA, this is hilarious! And from now on will probably be how new dupes see the base in my headcanon. 😄 Thanks for that! lol

Came to say this. It could have a return line also to the other side of the shutoff too, to reduce the waste.
This is a great idea.
Wow, I never thought it would look so cool to see the exaust instantly freezing from the power machines! Really awesome, loved it!
A cold power brick is counterintuitive but very clever. What a great way to deal with waste byproducts.

For pacu farm, you can make the almost staving ranch, you only need to feed pacu 1kg of algae per day

Would insulated liquid pipes made from ceramic be any better to give you a little longer before the petrol freezes?
Yes it would. But the insulated obsidian inside insulated tiles will never freeze either. Outside of the tiles this is what I would have done.
