Ahh the tuktuks! They were the heroes of the revolution in 2019, they drove injured protestors to the hospital cause their vehicles were small and could fit through narrow roads and drive by the many protestors much easier. They used to be deemed as poor and underclass, especially since they were the cheaper option of the taxi, but now they're called heroes and are a symbol of the uprising in Iraq! And so many people donated so much to them during the revolution, the revolution really changed so much for the better in just a few months already... Even through death and suffering, the people came out stronger and more united. There were also so many articles written about them too, I suggest you read them! 😊

I had a great holiday in N Iraq in 2011 - flying into Erbil then cycling to Dokan, Suleymaniye. Lake Dokan was a great swim stop for a few days at the Ashul Hotel.
It was nice having you here and we hope you enjoyed your visit
Your travels vlogs are superb.
Thank you for conveying a good picture of Iraq and the people of Iraq, by the way, I am one of the people in the clip. We were taking a picture of our graduation anniversary, and I saw you there. I hope we meet again🌚🫀
wonderful video Josh. it,s an eyeopener to see that you can travel everywhere you want..
Josh Thanks for taking us around the world and let us know about traveling, aviation and culture. Your videos are amaizing...keep it up Josh...Pakistan
I am a Kurdish Iraqi and honestly so shocked to find out how safe Baghdad is from these videos. When I was there in 2011 it wasn't like that at all. Matter of fact a mortar hit 2km short of my hotel just as I arrived 30min after. Glad to see it safer.
And he wasn’t in very good neighborhoods he was in very poor ones. Im a iraqi who lived my whole life in Sweden but I was there 5years ago and I got shocked
@@alifarman2365 Yeah I can see dramatic change and also people becoming more educated and aware of the crime and fraud activities done by the government. They all want change which is great to see
Football is such a universal language. All these people you are meeting who are so happy to chat about football even in places like Iraq always blows my mind. I have experienced that a lot in South East Asia. Catching up on your old videos. Loved this.
This was a joy to watch, thanks josh!
Thank you for showing the Beauty of iraq❤️
Wow!!! I'm on a travel halt, but you're giving me ideas. Excellent video, thank you for sharing this amazing experience.
I've visited Iraq four times. Very friendly people and a country steeped in history and culture. Next time you get a chance visit the incredible shrine cities of Najaf and Kerbala in Southern Iraq; they literally radiate an amazing spiritual glow.
You should do more of these travel vlogs.
Well first of all I would like to thank you for sharing this amazing experience in Baghdad, Iraq and showing Iraq that it is not like what they seeing in the news. But my only complain about this tour is why you didnt go and record the nicest areas of Baghdad like Mansour - karada - Jadryia - and many many more where you can shoot better pictures and also has better views on the rivers, also malls - shopping centers - streets - big towers looks much much better than what you showed us at the beginning of the tour. since you have many people gonna watch this video I really wish that you have captured more nice places and more luxuries views so people can have better idea about what Baghdad is and how exactly it looks like. Thanks again for sharing this but there was tons of nicer things you could have done.
Awesome watch! Recently discovered the channel been going down the rabbit hole of videos.
As a visit, Baghdad and Iraq is great, but if you decided to live there as a foreigner, that would a great mountain to climb.
13:33 "And no weapons of mass destruction" lol! Good one!
"Heineken is german beer..." That is how you quickly end your friendship with a german.... :-)

@@SNOOPY_- hahaha this made me laugh! I don't think they offered anything else tbh 😂
@@SNOOPY_- Carlsberg is probably the worst beer in the world ...well in the uk it is best Dutch beer is the German named one

Welcome to Iraq. There is no need to hear rumors. Come and see the beauty of Iraq and the security in Iraq is great and very safe. Today, Iraq is welcoming all tourists, from different religions and all countries. 🇮🇶🇮🇶
At 11:23, are they drinking tea made with numi basrah in the shisha bar? That's where Josh says that the tea tasts bitter, so it must be healthy!
Very interesting video, your humor cracks me up.
Fantastic video, thx Josh. I hope u will show some nice traditional food u eat there. Safe trip to u mate!
Inshallah I can go visit Baghdad soon!! I assume from this video that similarly to Cairo, it is a truly magnificent metropolis. Its fascinating location on the former silk road between China and the Mediterranean makes it such as interesting place. I really can't wait to see it;.
Thanks for showing up places like Bagdad who always has been known based on war!
I definitely want to visit there some days!
I live in Iraq and for a long time I haven't seen a person from Europe visit Iraq that's great 😍😍
I had the best. years of my life living in Baghdad !!
Thanks man
The vid is EPIC
Welcome to Iraq 🇮🇶
