when did you make this video my friend?
I've been to Iraq twice with my wife and we've had a tremendous time. People were so hospitable, generous, kind and warm. People were not willing to take our money and would invite us to their homes. I have been to 47 countries and I have yet to see anything like it. God bless Iraq and it's people.
Welcome any time 🌹🇮🇶🌹🇮🇶🌹
Mike, are you Iraqi?
Where in iraq were you and how did you get visa?

I want to travel to Iraq someday as a Civilian Tourist.

Of course, they are destroying Iraq in all respects.

Iraq is an ancient country that history cannot describe. There is Ur, there is Babylon, and there and there. Welcome. All people. Iraq wants life, no matter how many circumstances it has gone through. Welcome to Baghdad Peace

Amen, I'm sorry my country was so foolish to overthrow your government and cause so much chaos. Is it too complicated a matter to say "the average Iraqi" is or isn't happy with the new Iraq. Thank you!
@@usselpasoable Welcome, my brother. We Iraqis love all the peoples of the region and are far from politics. The people do not represent the government, and the new Iraq is better than what it was previously. 💕💖
I was there for 4 years in the military during the war. The iraqi people are so friendly and kind. 👍
Do you as a veteran think that there is a possibility veterans will go to a trip to iraq, but as tourists to visit the country and see how it have changed since they left. And visit the places they used to patrol and fo there daily work in?

I visited Baghdad a few years ago and did almost the same tour: the souq, the old cafe, the boat ride, the monument that we also had to convince the guards to allow us in. We also got to visit one of Saddam’s old palaces in Babylon. Love the video!

wow thank you so much. Makes me wanna go to Baghdad. The campus looks amazing. The oldest cafe's ceiling is bricks... and the cruise on Tigris is super interesting. After all Tigris has quite a monumental significance to the world's civilization. Wow this is goooooooooooood.
I loved this. Thanks for making it. My grandparents were Iraqi Jews who left Baghdad in the 1940s during WW2. They did not want to leave and always spoke very fondly and lovingly of Iraq. I really hope to visit some day and see where I come from.

Wow! I enjoyed this more than some documentaries I've seen on TV. A much more personal insight into Baghdad. Thank you so much.
TV and media has never done Iraq justice, continuously pushing a false image of war and destruction, suits their agenda
Love these travel adventures. A credit also to Iraq and its people, all the best to them.
I canceled my trip to Baghdad bc people in Erbil told me it was dangerous. This makes me feel better about rebooking a trip there. I’m glad you had a good time
It's obviously not 100% safe but it's definitely safe enough for a visit , back in the mid 2000s and even 2010s you couldn't walk on the street without worrying about your life .
Iraqi Kurds have unfortunately a lot of jealousy and biases against Arab Iraqis.
@@try2justbe well you have to admit that iraqi kurdistan is much safer than the other regions
Yeah Kurdistan has been very safe even during the war. US troops could walk around without weapons and armor.
It makes me happy that Baghdad is starting to thrive again.
@@blyat2656 It's not just safer it's better in every category because they have a decent government .
This was an extraordinary and eye-opening view of a city that we often think as in perpetual war. I thank you for your pointing out that the people of Baghdad are welcoming. Thanks again.
Welcome to the great Iraq, and thank you for publishing the true picture of Baghdad and the Iraqis 🤍🤍🇮🇶🇩🇪
Not the Iraq I remember, but I couldn’t be any happier seeing this country prosper!
Beneath all the negative news that the main stream media always publish and broadcast about Iraq, little do they know about the everyday life of Iraqis in Baghdad who are having a normal life, with business as usual, and who are very much eager to welcome visitors from all over and show them around. Thanks a lot, Josh, for all your guts, courage, as well as your own brand of openness and sense of humour that make your videos very, very interesting. Beneath its notions that Baghdad is a war-torn city, you have brilliantly shown how its people are very, very friendly, with very exciting street food (it indeed would be a blessing for those who love very spicy food like me), its bustling bazaars/souqs with lots to of ethnic souvenirs and novelty items to buy as those perfect gifts for the folks back home--also reflective of the entrepreneural spirit of the Iraqis, and colourful Islamic architecture, plus streets that a very, very safe to walk and explore. Keep up your excellent work, Josh :-)
I am a Kurdish Iraqi and honestly so shocked to find out how safe Baghdad is from these videos. When I was there in 2011 it wasn't like that at all. Matter of fact a mortar hit 2km short of my hotel just as I arrived 30min after. Glad to see it safer.
And he wasn’t in very good neighborhoods he was in very poor ones. Im a iraqi who lived my whole life in Sweden but I was there 5years ago and I got shocked
@@alifarman2365 Yeah I can see dramatic change and also people becoming more educated and aware of the crime and fraud activities done by the government. They all want change which is great to see

Ahh the tuktuks! They were the heroes of the revolution in 2019, they drove injured protestors to the hospital cause their vehicles were small and could fit through narrow roads and drive by the many protestors much easier. They used to be deemed as poor and underclass, especially since they were the cheaper option of the taxi, but now they're called heroes and are a symbol of the uprising in Iraq! And so many people donated so much to them during the revolution, the revolution really changed so much for the better in just a few months already... Even through death and suffering, the people came out stronger and more united. There were also so many articles written about them too, I suggest you read them! 😊
