How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a RUclips channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.
Ryan , your dads face was beaming looking at the 4455. He was like a kid in a toy shop and I don’t blame him .
It was nice meeting you at the show. I appreciated that you took so much time to talk to each person who came to see you.

There is an option to get the Pöttinger Novacat triple mower with roller conditioners, steel blade conditioner, a crossauger for collecting the grass or a combination of a roller / blade conditioner with a belt collector.
In Europe Pöttinger and Krone are probably the most popular manufacturers for grass equipment.
Looks like everybody had a good time one of these years I'm going to try to get there weather's been crazy warm here for February so we had a lot of fieldwork
“Glorified garden tractor” “115 horse”… that was balls to the wall, all the money, not that long ago! 😂
That was a bit of sarcasm, albeit a little lol Not enough weight to do much of anything these days!
@Garnet Holman 20 years ago I always said that if a 4440 can’t do it, then it shouldn’t be done. I caved on that pretty quick.
I miss those years. I’d get back from flying, drive home, pick corn with a 7721 pull type. I’d stop when the wagons were full, haul them up to the bins, didn’t have a drier so this was late in the year and it was cold, but the corn was dry. Those bins were tiny, 2500 bushels, I acquired them for free from a seed company that had closed up shop. Then back to the field I’d go. Rinse and repeat.
Grandpa never had a tractor with a cab. I thought I was living the life of a king.
@@LtColDaddy71, yep, when I was young, a heat houser on the Farmall M was pretty cozy on a cold winter day.
@@bigredgreg1 what I love about Ryan’s channel, is they are real solid at the level most of my friends farm at, we actually ended up pretty big, but as a bigger operator, we still work with equipment that is 09-10 stuff.
Not that I’m daddy warbucks or a BFO, considering we rent half our ground, but we get over 10k acres. Their are over 100 operations bigger than me in the state of IL alone, go out west, and you see 50k acre operators, but in some areas, dry land ground is about $1k per acre, and all it can grow is small grains every other year. No trees either. Very weird.

A triple mower would be really cool . Some people say they can cut up to 40 acers an hour...at that rate ya could do custom cutting

Hi Ryan from the land of oz. I hope you realise that when you got in the fendt you were in the best tractor in the world. Talking about comparisons of tractors, the top English, French and German farming magazines do that each year for a size class. And quests what. Fendt wins each year. I bought fendt in 09 and was best purchase I ever made.

Was a great show, would have been nice to see you but we didn’t go till Saturday. (Big mistake) huge crowds. JCB has made some really big improvements for this year for sure.

Hannah was talking about the specialty socket that John Deere all manufacturers have there own special tools to work on your tractor or car or truck and yes it sucks.
Ryan you can rent a scooter for your Dad at Freefom Hall. Makes it easier for him.
