She was a black mouth cur.
Every dog dies, not every dog really gets to live a great life like the one you gave her.

Oh, my. Just so, so precious. A wonderful, beautiful tribute and I'm weeping too for this tremendous loss. You're absolutely correct. Viva cannot be replaced - what a smart, fun, FULL OF JOY fur-kid! Terrific videos and pictures showing the love you three have for each other - just beautifully done. No words can take away this sadness, but my heartfelt condolences are to you both. Oh my gosh - I’m so very sorry! What a sweet & funny dog. Our first black Lab, Lexie passed away 3 years ago and we still miss her dearly. We did get another black Lab about 2.5 years ago and she sometimes gets called “Replacement Dog” as a joke. She is so different from “Original Dog”. Hang in there - it slowly does get less painful.

@@wobblyotteroutdoors I totally understand. I did a tribute video for Lexie and I was aiming for one take - no repeats - no do over - I just winged it and my voice did break in it once. It wasn’t easy, but I needed to do it and only do it one time. The more it hurts, the more love we had for the one we lost.

@@wobblyotteroutdoors Mt last dog. A German Shepard ...Wylie....died if blout..he stomach turned...this happened at my cabin in the bush...by the time I got him to a vet..he was gone.....just a word if caution. Let them rest for an hour after eating....good luck with your new pooch.
Oh no. So, so sad for you and Wylie. I've heard of the danger of that happening, the stomach turning, especially in dogs with a deep chest. Thank you for the advice about letting them rest after eating. Appreciate it so much.

So sorry for your loss. I have recently felt the pain also. In '20 and '21 I lost 2 of the most precious Shih Tzu puppies ever, due to age related issues. Added to the loss of my wife In '20. They all now travel with me in my memories. And my puppies travel also with me in their urns. Only a pet owner can truly understand the companionship and unconditional love a dog brings. Bless you and hope to meet you on the road. From South Dakota, my sympathy.
Oh, Larry, I'm so sorry for your losses. Our deepest sympathies to you. So precious that you take the pup's ashes with you. I understand just how much it means to you to have them with you. I have a small necklace pendant of the tree of life that has a tiny vessel that holds a few of Viva's ashes. It means so much to have them close any way we can.
