This was originally meant to be just a 'test' video to see how this kind of format will work out, but thanks to your guys' amazing feedback I decided to just go ahead and make it into episode one of the new series!
Let me know how you like this new format and feel free to leave suggestions for the future episodes!

Welp, I wanted to give my thoughts, but people pretty much already touched upon them lol.
The speed was a bit Rap God, some beginners might not be able to follow, though it was fine for me (Monogatari trains you well). The explanations were spot on and very creative at times. Basically ticks every part of the Natural Approach, which most people miss, cuz only CI exists and the other like 5 hypotheses don't...
I am really looking forward to this series and hope there will be a lot of titles I do not touch upon. Though, since I have become a light novel reader I am lot more menacing lol
Thank you for your hard work I hope a lot more people discover you. Channels like yours are a true gem, haha.
Oh and I am ashamed I missed the fact you are Polish, my Hungarian blood compels me to love you😄

@@jzs_tms Polak Węgier dwa bratanki, as they say, haha :D Thank you so much for the comment. Yea, I tend to go Rap God at times, but I figured since this sereis was meant to be the 'bridge' between my kanji/anime videos and my podcast, I can afford to go with more natural pace :D

Really glad RUclips recommended this for me. Have been learning through immersion for roughly 6 Months now and of course I am still struggling with a lot of vocabulary in native content. It just blows my mind that I was basically able to understand everything perfectly, which wouldn't have been possible before I started using immersion as a primary Method. I love how you keep everything in Japanese and how you really skilfully explain Words that might be new to the viewer.
I really thought those 15 minutes went by in maybe 5. I definitely could've watched an entire Hour of this.

this kind of monolingual teaching is totally invaluable for people at around N4 level. your explanations were clear without being overly simplified and i was able to follow it the entire way through. i hope this video is recommended to more people and that you continue making these.

This is a truly special type of content. I don't think I've ever came across something like this, the way you approach explanations by combining visuals, gestures, comparisons, and simple language is easy to understand even for someone like me, who is just starting out in studying Japanese. I really hope you can continue making these videos, as this type of content is a niche that will likely not blow up or become viral, but is still incredibly valuable. がんばってください!

    • @Notion-ms4nw

Also, personally, I find that the speed at which you are talking in this video is very nice. I think it is beneficial to be spoken to in a natural cadence and pace, and if I really cant follow something I can always slow it down on my own.

That was quite incredible to be honest. You have a very natural teaching style, your voice is pleasing and easy to listen to. From what I can tell, your pitch accent is honed well. Not to mention great pronunciation.
    今まで3年間くらい日本語を勉強していたんですけど、この動画は私の初めて辞書を使わないでよく分かりましたのです。
The way you touched on more difficult vocab and explained it using visuals and other Japanese really made an impact.
The only time I had slight confusion was when you were explaining 広範, I believe, and I thought you meant shore. But I got it after looking it up and rewatching that part of the vid.
Thank you! I'm taking a trip to Japan later this year. I'll definitely try to sub in the future.

Honestly, coming back to this, even かぜ引くな was so easy to understand after not being sure. The speed was perfect for my level currently 8-9 months of nearly daily self study with George Trombley's JFZ books and website and anki cards with core 2k/6k deck.
Interesting kaze was written in katakana rather than Kanji since in my studies I'm familiar with the Kanji. So that would trip me up so hard without your guidance.
Honestly, so far, this video has been the best way to visually learn and listen and I would love more

Wow. I was really intrigued by, yet remained a tad sceptic-ish about, the comments down below when I stumbled upon this video and saw what the content would be. But man, am I glad that the RUclips algorithm managed to do its job and recommend me this video!
I can't really put into words what an amazing job you did to properly explain these few pages, everything from the words used in the panels to what we're seeing as well as what Rin is experiencing, making it so easy for me as a watcher (and reader) to comprehend every single panel and speech bubble 🤩🤯
I can only pray that you'll take us through the whole first volume, though I know _very well_ just how much time and effort are put into editing videos, and that 15 minutes takes _way_ longer to plan, carry out and edit before the final video can be uploaded🥲🙏
Again, thank you so much for this, you'd make an absolutely fantastic teacher and I'd be happy to have you as either a tutor or even conversational partner on a platform such as Preply 😊 Watching this made me not only remember just how much Japanese I actually _do_ understand and know about, but it also inspires me to create flashcards of the words that were previously unknown to me - until you explained them here, and to dive back into re-reading this volume.
I actually purchased Yuru Camp 1 a long, long time ago because I'm a huge fan of the anime, but I gave up on reading it since there were so many of these still unfamiliar words, and not having any furigana to help me read them was a bit of a turn-off for me. But like I said, I really _should_ and _have to_ give it another try and see the whole thing as an important challenge, especially if I can have you "by my side" like this to help me through everything! 🙇‍♂

Thank you so so much! Really happy I could be of help and give a boost in motivation!
Doing the whole first volume could also cause problems with copyrights, I think 笑 But personally I wouldn't mind covering the whole thing :D
Oh, and I'm actually working as a Japanese tutor! I'm not on any popular international sites, but I do private lessons. If you're interested by any chance, write me an email for details!

I've been learning Japanese on and off since 2019 and it was nice to see that i could follow you a bit. I just wish I could learn it as fast and easy as everyone else. I should be a lot further than I am. I struggle to put sentences together. Hopefully your videos will help me out. Thanks for this.

Try Japanese from Zero book series. It's made for self learners. The website is very good too as it is the books but digital. I do recommend both as you can do one and review with the other.
Made by an American who understands the way English speakers think so its set up without that fast pace that you might see in Genki. I prefer the JFZ approach best.
I couple that with word and Kanji retention with anki premade deck called core 2k/6k. You can find videos on that deck and where to get it on the anki database.
I've only been self studying for 8 months, nearly everyday but there are full weeks i miss time to time since I have life stuff happen.
Worked really well this way for me and I hope it helps you!!

This is so amazing, your explanations are exactly like my Japanese professors' classroom lessons so it's very easy to follow your speech. The way you add context to every image is extremely helpful. Are you thinking of expanding to intermediate/advanced, or do you remain more in the beginners' arena? I'd love to read something like Witch Hat Atelier along with your explanations.
