I did it with teabags. It was a long time ago. I love it and I will recommend that to other people. But what I had : a book, with all exemples inside. Thank you for sharing it with me again. 🥰❤❤
Thank you so very much for explaining how to create an iris pattern. There are shapes I’d like to use verses free patterns I’ve come across. This will work perfectly!
Thank you so much for this demonstration. It looked complicated in my craft 📚 books. You've made it easy with your exact directions. I think I can give it a go now...hugs from Arizona...:)
Grateful that you explained how a simple iris folding pattern is drawn. I was wondering though - do you have any tips for shapes which are not symmetrical?
I haven't done it but I suspect that you choose the shape of your iris (eg square or a triangle) and then maybe work out from it. Otherwise it will be tricky to get it in the centre of the shape. Perhaps I should have a go!
Thank you for such an informative easy to follow video. I want to try this craft and I have an idea to do a family initial letter in it but would 1 of the 3 patterns you used be able to be put in a letter shape? For example what could you do for a capital “L”? 😊
I think you could try placing one of the patterns in an L shape. Or you could try getting an L shape and producing your own pattern. Perhaps based on a square or triangle. Good luck! They sound like they will be amazing. 😀
I would do exactly the same as the square. Simply start at one corner and measure in the same way. Keep working your way around as many times as you like to get your iris in the middle. This will work best for a hexagon with all the sides the same length. 😀

How would you do this for a hexagon shape please

How big is your square is it 6”?
You can make them 6" by 6" or 4" by 4". Most of mine are 4" by 4". 🙂
@@ChristinesCrafts brilliant thank you so much. I must have a go!!
