Although not my style, I really can appreciate the craftsmanship that it takes to make such an unusual piece. Thanks for having the courage to share your "experiment" with us.
Would have loved to have seen your plans on this one! This is the most unique turn I have seen you do and it is eye catching to say the least. How do you choose between using the table saw and the band saw for straight cuts?
Thank you very much for your comment, I am delighted that you appreciate the originality of this project 😉👍👍 For straight cuts it is better to use the table saw especially to have a clean result, but I use very good band saw blades so often use the band saw😉
Wow Morgan! That took some planning and a whole lots of work. I really like this creation. Never seen anything like it. Great job. Loved how the different woods came out with the finish! Thanks for sharing your creativity with me again. Stay safe, Vickie
Hi Vickie A big thank you to you for your generous comments that makes me very very happy :)) Yes you are right this piece took me many hours of work, but I think it was worth it;) see you soon stay safe Morgan
Unusual turning. I like it! Those spoke type protrusions would be a recipe for me to remove my fingers while turning. I’ll leave this type of turning to someone with lots more experience. Thanks for sharing!
Well that was very interesting Morgan. A one of a kind and very unique. I like the shape you came up with. Way to make something very unusual! Take care, Gary
it's very interesting and the craftsmanship is second to none, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. If i look at it one way, I like it. Look at it another, I don't. It certainly does what you intended, which is start a conversation. Your videos are always well done.

Regarding the angles of my gouges, I could not answer you because each one has a different angle, sometimes even for certain projects I modify the angle. It depends a lot on your way of working and your projects.
Very artistic and a lot of hand work. Looks amazing! Rather resembles a crown. And I've seen some similar architecture. Still a rather stunning presentation.
This is the first video, of yours, which I have watched, so I don't know your old style.., but this one is cool! I wondered, for a while, if you were making a clock frame. Perhaps another use for this style?
