Can we make this a series? I'd love this not only for the race track but also for street riding because lets be honest most of us don't even race. Doing this format for jackets, pants, gloves, boots, etc would be great content!

AGV and Arai for me. Personally I own an AGV Pista GP and the KYT NX-Race. KYT for the usual ride around town, and AGV during track days or just wanted to use something else for a change. I've been arguing myself to replace my KYT with the Arai RX-7V (Corsair X), but that would come in the future. AGV is very aerodynamically stable and not just some marketing BS, really excellent visibility, relatively quiet, and really feels plush and comfortable on your face. On the other hand the KYT feels cheaper, has thinner paddings, loud on the freeway speeds, but is super light (lighter by about 120g than my AGV), has great visibility, has speaker placements for comms (Pista/GP/GPR/GPRRdon't have this, but it's to be expected since it's track/race focused helmet), very cheap for a carbon lid (got mine for around 350USD), and has good ventilation (the Pista can get hot!).
Additional note on Suomy and KYT > KYT bought Suomy and are like sister companies.

I've ridden with Arai's for 20 + years and appreciate their construction of using progressively denser layers of "foam" from head surface to shell. Not that I've actually tested it's effectiveness at protecting your head, but I like the idea. Years ago Arai was arguably the best at protection, but that may not be the case now that others have improved.
This was a good intro into what's offered now, but it'd be nice to see measured impact and sound testing.

I've had my Arai Corsair X for a year now and I love it. I don't do track days, I ride a 2019 BMW R1250RT, so sport touring and some nice fast twisty's. The newer Corsair's have a new shield removal system which is MUCH easier than earlier models which were a PIA to remove. I live in Texas and the airflow is great for 100F plus temps in the summer. I do wear earplugs with this and all helmets. Fastest I've been at with this helmet was 120mph and it was totally stable. I'd highly recommend it. Ride safe all.

I’m like you and ride sport touring and thinking Arai brand Signet X. I’m mixed between a medium or large. I tried the medium and found it very snug and large felt very nice, but am wondering if the large will be too large if the materials compress too much and flop around on my head. My question is that did you find the materials compressed a lot to gain a little space in the forehead area, cheek area I’m not concerned about.

Very snug getting on but once on feels amazing. Very little notice to wind noise at all. Can hear music and all comms on my Sena without any issue at all. Really like it, just wish the Spartan GT had some better visor options. Other than that, no complaints from me. I do also own a Ruroc Atlas 3.0 which the noise absolutely made it a turn-off for me. @@ExileOrDeath I think from the most all arounder RPHA 11/11 Pro still good in many ways. The RPHA-1N (the mass production version from RPHA-01R and RPHA-1) is way to race focused, it's just recent they decided to make it mass production. On earlier, they only sell RPHA-01R and RPHA-1 just for professional racers

I would like to see something like this but for "the real world" like you said, realistically not many will go to a track much if at all, how about noise on the highway, comfort at being in your head for a hour or more, is there cutouts for a bluetooth communicator; unfortunately many of the large motorcycle reviewers are like the car ones, everything is from a track and race prospective, when very few will actually be in that situation.

Good info! I do track days and canyon carving, currently running X14 and love it. However, I guess I didn’t realize it’s so heavy! My wife switched from X14 to Corsair X and she loves it. Has me considering a new helmet. I love the Shark, but I’m not able to find many decent visors for it (like semi tinted or tint adjustable as Shoei has). Until we have more visor options for the Shark, I’ll wait. That dark smoke is too dark.
