I've worked for some different farmers up here in northwest Illinois that have painted pickups and tractors etc either outside or in a pole barn with concrete floor and it turned out looking like it was done in the nicest paint booth and by a professional
Nice work so far. But I can tell you from personal experience those pads under the rear fender holding the tail light wires will eventually fall off. The tape on the back will give out. Especially on a black fender out in the sun.
I’m not sure what you mean. This is a shovelhead transmission the gears are much longer. We actually were able to pick up mph. Are you referring to a later evo 5 speed transmission over an earlier shovelhead transmission?
How difficult is it to cut the transmission off a sporty engine?? I've seen choppers and bobbers that have a divorced engine but nobody ever shows or talks about the process
Yeah ,... I 2nd on This Question ,... I'm Lookin at This Vid n Their Others Right Now for This INFO. I'm in the Works of Decisiding to Do this for my Bro on his Iron , just to Trick it out on Points.
Did you have to change anything on the shovelhead trans to make this work? Getting a 1980 that’s electric start but would Love to divorce and add a kicker instead.
I hate to criticize on such a great build but that wiring in the fender isn't going to stay there. I used hot glue and it still came off mine. Old style builder tack a metal tube under the fender and run the wiring in it. Or some bendable metal clips welded to the inner fender.
Beautiful floor boards
I like the floor boards.
Looks great guys! Keep killing it!

Playing catch up! Hopefully we can put out a couple of videos this month!
👍😎👍
Question why would you go with this four-speed instead of a 5-speed ironhead? That would be dope. Would really lower the RPM'S at highway speed

No the only thing that is different is the front belt drive sprocket that mounts to the ironhead is custom built.

Good idea!
