Sound Off the SNES Version is amazing!
E não me refiro a chips especiais.
The PC Engine has some great shmups, but technically the stock SNES can beat it almost across the boards in graphics, sound, and controls, so there's no great excuse for the SNES not beating it outright in the shmup category. Some shmup games on SNES do show its technical superiority over the stock PC Engine, and pretty obviously at that, but really not as many as should be the case. I think a lot of that is due to many SNES shmups running in SlowROM at 2.68 Mhz and only 75% of the system's full speed, which was a choice of the publishers rather than a limitation of the console, but even then some of those games are still far more advanced than anything on PC Engine (Super Aleste, R-type 3, Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie, and the shmup sections of Rendering Ranger R2 being a few great examples). I really would have liked to have seen even more great shmups on SNES though.
Well I think it was a good effort for the PCE/TG16 considering it was only 8-Bit with monolythic sound comparing it to the overly powerful 16-Bit SNES.
SNES is technically superior but PCE just has that Goldilocks retro feel with the looks and sounds of its games.
SNES wins this one, which is should given it has better specs almost across the board.
PC Engine foi obliterado.
Snes, óbvio.
There is gameplay difference. PC engine gives more space to move horizontally than snes. You can go behind enemies to shoot them, full left on the screen, while there is no space to do the same on SNES. That’s why PC Engine feels far easier to play
