@HITMAN6661000 I think it's for if the elevator needs to be opened "manually" for whatever reason, that you stick a rod in there to give you leverage to open it partway, enough for you to grasp the door and open it the rest of the way.
vandel resitant are also in the US to it depends what kind they wanted
thats because if the light is burned out you wont know if it worked but if it beeps youll know
this is why there are cameras in the elevators somtimes so poeple dont ruin them
