Gizzy Apple or make British bombers have the structural strength they should have. The welly was the strongest airframe in the world until the modern A10. there where cases where they survived a bomb exploding on them and made it home.
My problem stems from the fact that Japanese top tier line up is sorely lacking, and while Russia has a solid line up themselves, they keep adding to it while neglecting other factions that aren't to that point yet. I rarely see the Japanese saber, for the most part I am the only person in most of my matches flying one, and I can't think of seeing a Ki-200, though they may be relegated to the lower BR matches I'm not positive. Just my thoughts on the matter, keep up the good work Phly, enjoying the content!

On the topic of bombers: I think 1) YES Phly, I think they need to stop leaving other nations out of this gap. 2) In air reloading. Many reason for this. You may say it's unrealistic but so is 1-4 bombers alone and unescorted vs being in a pack like they would in real life so that ship has already sailed. The other being that once you make it to the target and drop your bombs it's kind of over. If you're in a big bomber like a B-29 or even a B-17; you can't just dive out of the sky and be back at base without ripping your wings. Most of the time you won't even have the opportunity to make it back to base and even if you do and you land and rearm, it either makes you take off or spawn you just above the base. Now not only are you at a severe altitude disadvantage with a slow climb but it's late match so you may not even have a lot of time to make it back to any targets, or you may be one of few people left alive on your team meaning you're outnumbered against fighters. I would suggest Gaijin adding a mid-air bomb reload for bombers around...eh. 2000m? Something not so high that you can just stay at 6000m the whole time, there should still be some sort of sacrifice in altitude to reload. Either this or once bombers have reloaded and repaired at the airfield put them back at bomber altitude spawn. But the whole take off or spawn just above the run way doesn't work. And it shouldn't be a massive concern for everyone because a bomber making it back to base rarely happens anyways. That's just my suggestion.

Wooden shrouds on torpedoes could help absorb the kinetic energy from impact with the water and also help slow it down in the process. This made dropping torpedoes from higher heights and speeds possible.
Tin Foil Hat I mean, the soviets now have 23mm cannons fitted onto both a prop bomber AND a jet bomber now... the prop bomber is LITERALLY the b-29 superfortress with 23mm cannons replacing all .50 cals...and even then, the B-17G only had a single 20mm mounted in the tail.
Tin Foil Hat nowhere near as broken as the German 30mm. Great vs tonks, yet you need to light incense and invoke the machine spirit to make the hits on a bomber register.
Phly Gaijin DOES NOT fill the voids as quickly as you said, although it's true the Mig-17 was added in the update right after the Hunter was added but that's ONLY because the Hunter was not on the soviet tech tree remember how long it took for them to add something that could somehow compete with the IL-28, back when it was first added only top BR jets could catch it in speed (at it's BR it would simply run away) and even after adding the Canberra/B-57 (so that the British and US could compete in bombing) it took them several more updates to add guns for those to have them balancing the existence of the IL-28 on the enemy team (all the 3 bombers were now able to take the others down) just face reality, there's a huge russian/soviet bias in the core of the company and that won't ever change
Anyone realise that in realistic air battles when any bomber bombs a target it takes a few tickets away but as soon as a russian bomber especially tu-4 and the jet bomber(cant remember its name at this time) it basically deletes all your tickets

Skywarrior could carry 10,000lbs of bombs. It wasn't just a dedicated nuclear bomber , And with the British use the Seafire (the first one ofc) its probably the best plane to fly in game once spaded and dont even get me started with the meteors
We can handle a 5000 kg vodka bottle and still be able to be the fastest torpedo bomber because of one reason only we are STRONK + the power of soviet Russian jet engine that runs on pure Russian vodka.
Those rear facing laser cannons are a problem. The problem is that the guns have no dispersion at range. Everyone elses rear turrets have shot dispersion beyond 1km whereas the Russian guns maintain their pattern. I'd be surprised if they had a 2 meter dispersion at 1.5km. As for a advanced bomber... B-66 Destroyer.
I don't care if it can slay top tier jets. As a bomber, I love having more options to defend myself.Any advantage I can get is appreciated gajin because being prey all that time sucks.If you had the chance to be a deer that can sometimes (if lucky) ward off an attacker or become a hippo that can die to a group of predators but can defend itself one v one vs almost any creature you would pick the hippo.
If you're in a 9.0 jet fighter and having a hard time killing Il-28 you seriously need to L2P. Harmony in the game. UK & USA both have two jet bombers. All are faster and half have a much bigger payload.
I think that it's pretty cool that this has been added, but as far as I know, NOBODY was asking for it. I'm not complaining that they added this, but I wish they would stop focusing on the aircraft that noone has heard of or asked for and rather work on aircraft that the community is actually wanting.

The reason the mig 23mms blow is because they're the low velocity NS cannons. For some reason those seem to do fuck all to just about anything. The NR cannons are much more effective.

Devs said they will not add the Vulcan because it is just too op, imagine the complaints at a bomber with 21 × 1,000 pound bombs capable of mach 0.91. However they may add the Valiant, as it will be a much easier target and free kill for Russian jets. the trouble is, Russian bombers all had defencive armaments whereas British bombers had no defencive weapons because they used speed and altitude. and that is not what war thunder wants they want planes with guns. :( so i doubt we'll ever get any of the V bombers. I mean the Canberra was capable of out running most jets, and was able to get silly altitude and hit targets the size of an ant, yet in game they are hopeless and at altitude the bombs are as accurate as a stormtrooper after being hit by a flash bang. i imagine they will add the Convair XB-46 and B-45 however because they were slow easy targets with relatively weak guns need to keep the Russian player base happy. Bombers in war thunder are treated as free kills and do not get the love they deserve, look at the Lancaster it still has the tail issue where one hit will flat spin it, that bug has been in game for over a year or two now. the Wellie is still killed in one hit, and the 7.7mm defensive guns are treated as little more than pop guns. even if they were actually effective in real life. -_- (salt level increasing) The other thing is they seem to dislike giving any nation other than Russia proper bombs. Yes the Wellie has the barrel bomb, but the fact that only the PE-8 gets a 5000kg bomb is frustrating, imagine if lancasters got a tallboy? even if they nerfed it a little. the other thing is Radar for bombers, most late bombers had it and it would warn when a night fighter was incoming, they also used german radar blockers to disrupt their AAA. a simple early warning system on planes with Radar or the ability to see planes on the mini map because you have radar would make life lot easier for bombers. -_- (ranting a little)
I've seen ther real TU-16 (if they would implement in the game) and it's looks way cooler than in picture. I mean Russian cold war bomber just look awesome
pls correct me if i'm wrong but... if we get jet-torp-bombers put into naval battles then ships or more realisticly called boats have a pretty hard time to do sth against them with just 2x50cal so i think our captains would automaticly deserv and need better AA capabilities which can only be brought by more or at least better guns... and where are those mounted? Those rear facing laser cannons are a problem. The problem is that the guns have no dispersion at range. Everyone elses rear turrets have shot dispersion beyond 1km whereas the Russian guns maintain their pattern. I'd be surprised if they had a 2 meter dispersion at 1.5km. As for a advanced bomber... B-66 Destroyer.
I don't care if it can slay top tier jets. As a bomber, I love having more options to defend myself.Any advantage I can get is appreciated gajin because being prey all that time sucks.If you had the chance to be a deer that can sometimes (if lucky) ward off an attacker or become a hippo that can die to a group of predators but can defend itself one v one vs almost any creature you would pick the hippo.
If you're in a 9.0 jet fighter and having a hard time killing Il-28 you seriously need to L2P.
Harmony in the game. UK & USA both have two jet bombers. All are faster and half have a much bigger payload.

I'm not complaining that they added this, but I wish they would stop focusing on the aircraft that noone has heard of or asked for and rather work on aircraft that the community is actually wanting.

The reason the mig 23mms blow is because they're the low velocity NS cannons. For some reason those seem to do fuck all to just about anything.
The NR cannons are much more effective.

Devs said they will not add the Vulcan because it is just too op, imagine the complaints at a bomber with 21 × 1,000 pound bombs capable of mach 0.91. However they may add the Valiant, as it will be a much easier target and free kill for Russian jets.
the trouble is, Russian bombers all had defencive armaments whereas British bombers had no defencive weapons because they used speed and altitude. and that is not what war thunder wants they want planes with guns. :( so i doubt we'll ever get any of the V bombers. I mean the Canberra was capable of out running most jets, and was able to get silly altitude and hit targets the size of an ant, yet in game they are hopeless and at altitude the bombs are as accurate as a stormtrooper after being hit by a flash bang.
i imagine they will add the Convair XB-46 and B-45 however because they were slow easy targets with relatively weak guns need to keep the Russian player base happy.
Bombers in war thunder are treated as free kills and do not get the love they deserve, look at the Lancaster it still has the tail issue where one hit will flat spin it, that bug has been in game for over a year or two now. the Wellie is still killed in one hit, and the 7.7mm defensive guns are treated as little more than pop guns. even if they were actually effective in real life. -_- (salt level increasing)
The other thing is they seem to dislike giving any nation other than Russia proper bombs. Yes the Wellie has the barrel bomb, but the fact that only the PE-8 gets a 5000kg bomb is frustrating, imagine if lancasters got a tallboy? even if they nerfed it a little.
the other thing is Radar for bombers, most late bombers had it and it would warn when a night fighter was incoming, they also used german radar blockers to disrupt their AAA. a simple early warning system on planes with Radar or the ability to see planes on the mini map because you have radar would make life lot easier for bombers. -_- (ranting a little)

pls correct me if i'm wrong but... if we get jet-torp-bombers put into naval battles then ships or more realisticly called boats have a pretty hard time to do sth against them with just 2x50cal so i think our captains would automaticly deserv and need better AA capabilities which can only be brought by more or at least better guns... and where are those mounted?
