1:34 I love how we see Tiger here, perfectly setting up the ending. It's such a blink and you'll miss it moment, even as Payne looks down at him, but I love it.
When they eat chow takes me back to bootcamp(hollywood marine) cause I was about 5'7" and like ninety pounds and I was put on double rations and had to eat everything on my tray
@@justjon5945 I am very serious when I say I did weigh 90 pounds going into bootcamp I was, maybe not into into Parris Island but in San Diego I went to bootcamp there!!!!!!! The guys that were on half rations looked at me like I was a 16 oz prime rib!!!!!!! So say what you want, but I did go to bootcamp there
@@tobyjohnmedicinehorse8784 I knew a couple guys in my company that looked barely taller than Tiger that went to bootcamp with me in San Diego. Those guys kept up well though (and one of them could school everyone else when it came to pull ups, he could keep going till the DI's got tired of counting).
I knew several guys (generic for males and females) in Army basic training that were underweight like that and on the underweight program. They had regular weigh-ins and body fat tapings to ensure they were gaining healthy weight but not gaining a significant amount of body fat, thereby ruining any progress they made, otherwise they'd be kicked out. They were also followed closely by MDs (not medics) so that they didn't wind up getting sick. On days I was on KP, we were always told which items the underweight guys had to double up on vs what items the fat boy program guys had to half ration. I also had a girl in my company that was so damn short, they had to special order uniforms for her, and I think they modified the running portion of the fitness test, but she blew away everything else.

as someone who went to military school. The only inaccurate thing I see here is the lunch scene. If you crowded over your food and shoveled it in, you'd get PT. You had to remain disciplined and well mannered at 'all' times. elbows off the table. Put your fork down when not using it. Keep your posture proper.
@@dominantwolf4593 There 'are' cases when that happens, but it's rare, it usually only happens if a platoon is late as the mess hall closes at a set time. So they'll eat like hell and then do the PT later. Better to have food in the belly than not at all.
@@dominantwolf4593 worst they usually do after eating is parade practice or moving to the shooting range or something that requires dexterity like stripping down your kit etc. It's only if you really fuck up that you get PT right after eating.
Maj. Payne: "Parade..." puke second from The Left: *preempts the order* Maj. Payne: "Rest!" rest of the squad: *only stand at ease once the order has been given*
Also, depending on how often they practise, you can anticipate the timing of the facing movements if there is a particular sequence being followed. When my basic training platoon prepared for our drill competition, we didn't even need to hear the commands, we knew exactly what the timing was going to be for the next movement because we practiced that particular sequence so many times (we were all stressing about the backwards march, so we did it CONSTANTLY for 3 weeks... it was our worst marching movement). But we got a perfect score on it, plus a 12 out of 10 on the freestyle!
I love that tug of war scene. When you see Payne driving that tractor! That is hilarious!!

the way she looked after blowing whistle she might be blowing something else later
Omg how people can be so innocent sometimes lol
Also the fact that he caved in with one look from her you know lol.
