then you just missed the re-opening of one of the coolest places in the city to go, The Crystal Bridge at Myriad Garden! It's just next to the Scissortail Park.
You have to come back and go inside the bombing memorial museum.
Born and raised Okie here….
Thank you for showcasing my home! Y’all are welcome back anytime!! I really appreciate you experiencing the National Memorial. April 19, 1995- A day I will never, ever forget 😢 😭
Thank you for showcasing my hometown 🥰 OKC is truly one of the coolest, most eclectic places in the country; it's like the best kept secret of the Heartland! ❤️❤️❤️
We couldn't agree more!
Drinking cat piss for this statement😂
I live in Oklahoma too
Thanks too!
I love that y’all loved OKC. It’s a unique place with wonderful people and I’m proud to call it home. Thank you so much for highlighting our small big city 😍
We are SO happy we were able to visit! 🙌🏼 Thanks for watching!
Sup beautiful
Thanks for coming to OKC! Glad y’all enjoyed! Come back soon!
We sure will!
Never had a desire to visit OKC but after watching your video it is now on our list of “have to” places to visit. ❤
It belongs there!
Oklahoma one of the most friendliest people and most respectful people in America. I’m from Fort Worth Texas. I did some business out there in Norman and OKC, those were some good people out there
From a Northern Californian who grew in Oklahoma many years ago - Thank You for an amazing tour of OKC. OKC has come light years ahead of when I first visited in 1989 - just before they built the Bricktown Canal. The additions of Scissortail Park, the Boathouse District and many other attractions around the City have made this city a destination. I hope to make it back to Oklahoma and OKC in 2023 to see the beautiful new additions (was there last in 2017). Great to see Oklahoma City truly on the rise!!!
OKC was a ton of fun! There is so much to see, do, and eat there! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
It’s is absolutely beautiful now… they have been keeping the old buildings when they can but getting new businesses in town. I used to dislike the city but now it is beautiful and even midtown is getting redone!
Thank you guys so much for the wonderful tribute and showcase to our city! This is my home, and it's really nice to see just a few of the highlights shown to the world. Many people are surprised to find so many great things here. I hope this spreads a message of positivity to any who doubt how wonderful it is here, and if you are out there on the fence about whether to come here or not, please do. You will be pleasantly welcomed, always. Cheers and love,
- Jim
We had an absolute blast in OK and we’re bummed it took us so long to experience it! We should’ve been going our whole lives!
I've lived in Oklahoma my whole life. it doesn't seem like much to me. I'm used to it. But watching your video made me realize how thankful I am to live here. its so beautiful. I appreciate the video. I needed to see this. God Bless.
OKC was named one of the best cities to retire in a few years back because of all the things to do, and Bricktown is the place to be!! Glad yall enjoyed it
It looked like a great place to live! ❤️
Thank you for visiting our town. In addition we have many other good things to try. I especially love our bicycle trails. John. OKC
There is a lot more to do for sure!
I live in OKC and wanted to thank you for showcasing us. I have lived here most of my life and even I learned about some new things to see and eat! I was at Factory obscura a few months ago and it's changed just since I went - they are a sister company to a group of museums called MEOW WOLF - I highly recommend any of their exhibits if you enjoyed factory obscura - I have been to the one in Nevada, and Colorado and am planning a trip to hit up the one in Vegas and the new ones in Texas soon.
When you come back to OKC , definitely check out the Botanical gardens, the banjo museum, and OKCMOA to see the glass art (and the restaurant). You should also look into some of the live theater groups here and see if anything is playing when you come back through - Or the improv bar. I haven't seen your channel before but will have to check you guys out. Thanks again!
They told us that they recently added that one slide! Pretty cool to know that they change it up...even more reason to go back! We have always wanted to visit MEOW WOLF, so it was cool to get an experience like it! Thank for watching!
I was in OKC for a year, organizing a business, learning the area, and training staff. As a lifelong Texan, I came to really love Oklahoma. Automobile alley has a few of our clients, and there's lots of great places to eat. Pretty sure I have had pizza at one of the places you visited. We also provide some services for Oklahoma Tower, that big stunning building downtown.
We are now big Oklahoma fans! We never gave it a chance when we lived in Texas and we were so wrong about it. But we love that as we have traveled and opened our minds to more places that we finally gave it a visit, because it has been one of the best surprises of the year for sure!
I can completely relate to how you felt at the OKC monument, as I felt something similar at ground zero in New York when I visited there in 2011. It was such a somber moment. The entire area just has a heavy spirit that can emotionally overwhelm you. The moment it fully hit me that I was standing near the exact spot where 3000 Americans lost their lives, I crumpled to the ground and wept. Such a powerful moment in my personal history, and I don’t know why I’m sharing it just to say that I can appreciate how you must have felt in this moment.
It was a very moving and powerful place. Thanks for sharing!
My best friend who worked for The City was walking to the Federal building as it came down. She lost many friends who worked there. We all lost at least one person that we knew.
Thanks for showing the world my adopted home town.
Absolutely!
I’m glad you liked it in OKC! My husband and I moved here in 2017 and thought it would a temporary living arrangement. But it quickly grew on both of us and now we want to make this our forever home. Thanks for showing some of the things OKC has to offer. I think most people would be surprised at how many cool things are here. ❤️
We really liked OKC! It looks like a very liveable city!
As a born and raised okie, I genuinely appreciate the tour! Y’all showed places that I’ve never been to! Thank y’all so much for your support here in OKC!
We loved OKC! There's so much to see and do there! Thanks and thanks for watching!
It makes me so happy when you guys work with cities because you are always so enthusiastic about your adventures and I leave the video with a new destination added to my (ever growing) list. I hope more cities work with you in the future because you truly do a wonderful job of capturing the excitement of visiting! We appreciate how much work you put into these videos.
Thank you so much Cassie, that means a ton! ❤️ Working with tourism boards has been a dream come true! They help us be able to do what we already try to do, but with extra support, local insight, and even more fun!
Allright, we just decided to visit OKC.
Great video again. We hadn’t ever really considered visiting Oklahoma but now we are actively looking into it, it looks great! Thank you
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Grew up on Front Range of Colorado, the excitement was always west. In my later years I went east to OKC on a wild hair and was presently surprised. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, OKC National Memorial, and Braum’s Ice Cream are not to be missed.
Agreed!
Braum's ice cream is the best!
Glad y’all found the more mountainous parts of my home state. There are many truly beautiful scenic areas of the Sooner state that most folks don’t realize exist. You even stayed in the exact same camp site at Talimena State Park where we stayed a couple of years ago. Come back anytime!!
OK really blew us away! We can't wait to go back and see more! Thanks for watching!
My home town!! Love to see someone highlight all the amazing places OKC has to offer!
So much to see in OKC. We did an overnight there about 2 years ago and we stayed in the Bass Pro parking lot which was right next to the Centennial Land Run Monument. It was gorgeous in the sunrise the next morning. And we also visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial. So very somber, but an absolutely gorgeous Memorial.
It is a beautiful memorial! And I bet that’s where we would’ve stayed had we not had a campsite haha!
Thank you again for visiting the Memorial! I’m honored to work here and am so happy you all came to visit!
It’s a special and memorable place. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Lauren, I was blown away by the experience. That memorial is one of the most beautiful and appropriate remembrances of an event in the nation. Thanks to everyone who works to maintain and guide there.
You should have said why that memorial exists, what happened to bring about that bombing. Two wrongs don't make a right.
@@stephensatt That’s what the museum is for and hopefully one day they’ll be back to experience the story.
@@danite22 Thank you for your kind comments. I’m fortunate to have been there for 12 years now and feel lucky to share to the stories of those who were killed, those who survived and those who were changed forever.
Cafe Kacao I am crying! Haven’t been to OKC in a couple of years and it’s amazing at how much it has changed
Thanks for showcasing O-City/OKC. I'm from LA,but grew up in O'CITY. It's very underrated city. The people make this city a great place to visit and reside. I love this video. Thanks guys for this video. Great Job!
Everyone was very friendly! Thanks and thank for watching!
That pizza and burger looked unreal.
Thank you for showcasing and celebrating my home town.
Absolutely! We loved it!
Very well done, thank you for visiting our great City
This video is one of my favorite you guys have made recently! I would have never thought there was so much to do and see in OKC. The indoor skiing looked like so much fun, I didn't know that was even a "thing." All of the food looked so good, and the art was awesome. Definitely earned it's #1 spot.
Yay! So happy you enjoyed it! It is one of our favorite we have made!
Indoor skydiving is fun here too.
Hi beautiful
That’s cool my buddy owns the koa.. welcome to okc that’s for showing me some places to check out. I’ve lived here 34 years
Cafe Kacao... BUCKET LIST!!!
That place was top notch!
I grew up in the OKC area and now live in Tulsa. I've really enjoyed your videos on our state and I see some new things in OKC that I need to try next time I head down the turnpike! Glad y'all had a good time here - come back and see us again!
We had a great time, thanks!
i LOVE SO MUCH the fact that you include history in your videos! i learn so much from yall!
We are so glad you enjoy that aspect! We try to share as much as we can about what made these places what they are today, the good and bad.
Hello Adventurers😊😊, Cafe Kakou...MMmmmmmm...wait your not sharing😞😞😄😄😄. Oklahoma is one COOL place. I'm checking Kakou Restaurant next time in OKC!
Much love from the heart of Oklahoma OKC
OKC is one of the most underrated cities in America. It has some of the best food and friendliest people. I lived there for 10 years before moving to Austin, TX. I still visit quite often the food is way better in OKC.
OKC does have amazing food! We ate like royalty while there! I don't know that we can agree that it's better in OKC, but they do have tons of solid options!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I agree Austin prob has a better food scene, but not by much lol . Houston and Dallas have much better food than Austin, which only really has good bbq
We’ll agree to disagree. Houston definitely has the best food of all cities mentioned. Haven’t had much in Dallas area.
Thank you for showcasing my hometown with love and excitement! I’m glad you had a blast! It’s come a long way, that’s for sure! Downtown OKC used to be a place that used to not be safe (back in the day).
We had a blast in OKC! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Glad ya'll like OKC. I'm a born and raised OKie. Subscribed!
Thanks and thanks for watching, Jeremy!
Excellent video depicting our hometown. Come back again. There are lots more places to see
There is sooo much to do in OKC! We definitely can't wait to return!
Welcome to OKC! Hope you had a wonderful time here. We love following your adventures. 😊
We had the best time! We were sad to leave! Thanks for following along 🙌🏼
Bringing the city to the country .... the people here will meet those comming.
I grew up in OkC and still consider myself an Okie first. Most of my family still lives there, so I'm there often. You did a great job showcasing the capitol city and the greater state of Oklahoma in your other video!
The memorial site has to be one of the best designed memorial sites I've seen. Very peaceful despite the trauma sustained. If you lived in the metro area at the time of the bombing, the museum is a bit difficult to take in in some sections. It took me a long time before I could feel like I could go inside.
On another note, another great little museum of Oklahoma history to visit, especially if you have young kids and/or a tight budget is the Natural History museum on the OU campus in Norman. It's about a ten minute drive south of the campus.
This video was awesome. Most time I see videos about OKC it is predominantly about brick town. Most of us who live here do not really hang out in brick town that much even though there are things to do there. I love how you all highlighted different areas of the city. Next time you visit try Cafe Antigua in lieu of Kacao, it is owned by the same family I believe.
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words, Demarcus! It means a lot from a local!
Thank you for the video on Oklahoma City. I’ve lived here for over 50 years and you highlighted a few things I was not aware of. There are a few places to eat that I will definitely have to check out. The Maps projects have been a big boost to our city!
I was so tickled when I got to watch this. Thank you so much for featuring OKC and all we have to offer. Would love for you to do some more exploring of the state which is beautiful and full of history as well as fun adventures. Be safe.
OKC and OK were such a fun surprise! Lots to see and do there! Thanks for watching!
Another entertaining and educational video! Who knew OKC had so much to offer! I’m loving this new niche y’all have carved out. Working with tourism and these big cities is so perfect - y’all are killing it!!
We are really lucky and thankful to be able to work with tourism boards! OKC is such a cool place with tons to do and eat!
Come visit sometime! We have much more to offer as well!
Thanks for the Oklahoma Series!
I think we have found the place to have a good ole family reunion!
Woo! We have some beautiful spots to share in our next Oklahoma video that would be fun for the family too!
Wow! I never imagined that Oklahoma City had such an enormous variety of things to do!
We were blown away too!
We just added Factory Obscura to our winter break road trip in a couple of weeks because of this video. So cool!
Yesss! TOO MUCH FUN!
Stumbled across your video and really enjoyed it! My wife and I are an A+K too so that grabbed my attention as well as the fact that we live just 5 min away from the KOA you all stayed at!! I would say you all did a great job hitting a lot of the popular places with the help of travel OKC and exploring/explaining those locations. And now it looks like I have a pizza place to go check out!! Thanks for the awesome video about Oklahoma, us Okies really do appreciate and enjoy Oklahoma related content! Looking forward to the next video!
We had a blast in OK and OKC! Thanks and thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I’ll keep a look out for new videos!
Great video, thanks for the great look into our beautiful city!
Thanks so much for watching!
Yeah! Live in OKC. Great city
Can totally see why it would be a great place to live!
I ate dinner right before watching this but it doesn’t matter, I’m still starving now. All that food looks amazing, not to mention the activities! I knew this episode would be a good one based on the Insta-teasers but I enjoyed it even more than I anticipated. Planning a trip to OKC now!
We are so happy you enjoyed it! We have been really excited to share this one ❤️
Welcome to my city ! Hope to see you back soon !
Katiebug’s is the best!!!!!!
It was soooo good!
I'm a local and Cafe Cacao is amazing! French toast makes me happy
Ah heck ya!
Another great City showcased to us in such an enthusiastic way…loved watching to see the next wonderfully cool spot and deliciously yummy treat! Keep doing what you are doing because what you are doing is AWESOME!!!
Sooo many cool spots and insanely delicious food! 🙌🏼
Thank you for doing OKC! I grew up there many years ago.
My home town! You guys always make cities look way more fun.
We had the best time ever in OKC! We really loved it there!
This was such a fun video! You looked like you had a ball! The food, the fun, the ice cream and the desserts!!! OKC looks like a great place to visit! So much to do and see! I love museums especially history so ✔! The boat tour was so awesome! I think I will watch this one again because it was so full of awesome things to do! What a very well done Memorial for the bombing victims. Thank you for sharing all of this. I agree with ya Katiebug -Adam looked good in the cowboy hat! 👍 You two enjoy the holiday season!
Yeehaw! Thank you so much, y'all!
@@AdventuresofAplusK 😄
Such a cool few days in OK, I wanna go!
We had way too much fun! Highly recommend it!
Thank you for visiting and recognizing a small city
small? the metro is 1,441,695 and the city is 681,054 and the 20th most populated city in the country
@@zebrajenks 710K and 1.5 million metro now (2022). def NOT SMALL city.
Yay! Adam and Katie in Oklahoma!
Woo!
What an amazing adventure! I've lived in Oklahoma all my life and have never seen most of the places you went to! I'm so excited to take my son to some of these places. Thank you for the wonderful adventure! I also subscribed! 😊
In the early 1960’s I was a 17 and found a job in one of the buildings you featured AND lived in a studio apartment just above it. What a DELIGHT to follow your journey. I now live in NE Oklahoma on Monkey Island on Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Your adventure has me planning a trip back to OKC after more than 50 years . Good on you and safe journey! Cloudpants, Visual Storyteller😊
Oh wow! That's awesome! I know it has changed a ton since your last visit! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Definitely booking a trip there.
What a fun place to visit. Thanks for the tour. 🌻🐕
Thanks for another beautiful showcase of a city!! That breakfast looked like dessert. Love the ice cream flight idea!!
What a neat visit! You two do the best city visit videos.
Thank you so much! 🥰
The BEST 3 days in OKLAHOMA CITY! (Food, UNIQUE experiences, Western History, & MORE!)
Not to mention OKC’s 16,000 residents of Vietnamese descent provide the city with over 30 good Vietnamese restaurants. You can go out for Vietnamese food twice a month and after a year still have a dozen left you haven’t tried.
I eat at cafe kacao all the time, their food is the best.
Oh heck ya it is!
Great showcase of our city! Thank you for visiting. Glad you enjoyed your time here.
We had a blast! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I drove through OKC in 2014, but didn't stop anywhere. Too tired from driving all day and just wanted to get to my hotel in Shawnee. But thanks to you, I can see plenty of places to visit my next time through.
Woo! Glad to give you some ideas!
Wow! This was such an in depth exploration of OKC! Loved coming along with y’all as you guys explored so many nooks and crannies. We can’t wait to visit in the future.
OKC is so underrated! Lots of good food and fun stuff to do!
Welcome to OKC! We hope you had a great time!
We had the best time!
very well detailed! nice video, can't wait to go there
The Cowboy museum is pretty cool. Our kids (young boys) both loved it.
We really enjoyed it as well!
Loving seeing OKC in such a great way. My daughter is also a Katy bug!
We love our city too!
We need to do family reunions in OKC and go to some of these places. I am from OKCity! Oklahomies!
@visitokc Best marketing decision to hire these two! You guys have truly showcased this city! We never had it on our list BUT we cannot wait to visit! Food, history, activities and a beautiful city! Great job guys! ~Cara
I SO want a piece of that cake! 😊
Thanks so much Cara, we always appreciate your support, especially when we get to work with tourism boards!
I have lived in OKC my whole life and watching this video you made me realize i take this city for granted and even after working downtown for 23 years I could easily spend a few days in my own city being a tourist and thats what i plan on doing. Thank you!
That's so awesome to hear! Thanks for watching!
Loved the video! Thanks for showing us the City! The food looked great!
Thank you! ❤️
Great Video. Loved your energy!
Love these extra long videos! It's so fun "traveling" with ya'll! Aw, nostalgia! I visited the cowboy museum with my family when I was younger and we loved it! I especially remember the indoor western town. So cool! I really want to go back now that I appreciate art and history more! Ooh that ice cream flight looked amazing!😋
We are so glad you enjoy the longer videos! They have been a really fun way to showcase a lot about a place! The ice cream flight was SO amazing!
Just wanted to say that I love ya'lls videos so much! They are so helpful for planning my upcoming 2023 road trip travel plans! Seriously appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to your videos and channel!! ☺
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! ❤️ All we could ever ask for is to help others plan their own adventures!
A truly wonderful video about OKC, very educational.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate the kind words!
this is one of my new favorite videos of yours! it's just so vibrant and fun 😁
Thanks y'all! We have been so stoked to share this one!
Awesome video. I would never think of going to Oklahoma City but it actually looks pretty cool. This is why traveling is so important. It introduces us to the unknown! I like how you captured the city and the way you filmed your interactions. One of the better travel videos I have seen in awhile. I'm subscribing! I loved that little history piece on the canals.
Thank you so much for helping guide our adventures by watching yours!!! We had just an evening in OKC after doing a sunrise hike at black mesa, so we picked off your video factory abscura, pizza at Halls, and going to the bombing outdoor memorial... we appreciate your videos! Safe travels (just started watching the first Mexico video released today)
Those are some of our top recommended spots! Especially if you only have one day/night! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Cafe Kacao is the move!
Heck yes!
Great Video, Loved all the History
Love the way y'all showed our city! Most of that was developed in the last 5-10 years. More than a decade ago, the only thing to do was in Bricktown and many would to go out of state to do anything interesting. We've come a long way.
We were SO impressed by how much there was to do!
The OKC Zoo, Science Museum Oklahoma, and Cowboy Museum have been there for decades.
@@moonlit.michelle I didn't say everywhere they went was new. I said MOST. Plus they didn't go to the zoo or science museum in this video. As far things to do, yeah those things been there for a long time but when I said Bricktown I was talking about restaurants, nightlife, and activities. More than a decade ago, most people I know used to go to Dallas for all that and also to get beer over 3%. Of course, every major city has art/science museums and a zoo so I didn't have than in mind when making my comment. Most people wouldn't come here from out of state if museums and a zoo was our main attractions.
the lighthouse is just great to be near at any time..i love it there. im glad you enjoyed it here
Another great episode! Thanks
Happy y’all enjoyed our city. Even showed me a new place.!
