I am 37 weeks pregnant and began to develop carpal tunnel at 36 weeks. I was so miserable from the pain, tingling, and numbness that originally happened only at night but started to occur during the day as well. I had to sleep sitting up to manage the swelling in my arms and hands, but it only helped so much. I tried ice, massage, splints, stretching, Tylenol pm and chiropractic care for the pain but nothing was helping. I found this video and within the first night I noticed a significant difference. My hands still go numb but not near to the extent. The biggest improvement I’ve noticed was no more shooting pain from my wrist to my elbow. I am so glad I found this video and am able to get sleep and relief!!
Just curious, and I know it's been a while since you posted, but did you injure your elbow when you experienced this? Are where doing anything repetitive? I have the same symptom - though not pregnant - after I fell on my elbow. They went away after about 5 weeks, but I was lifting a 5 pd dumbbell and I got the same problem again. Doc said it is carpal tunnel but also brought on from the fall on the elbow.
Why does the first piece not get applied with any stretch? It seems to defeat the purpose of it being a kinesthetic support, no? Im not an expert but it just seems like the support of the tape comes from the stretch. What good does it do if it’s just stuck to the hand?
Shouldn't the second piece extend over the thenar and hypothenar muscles? The TCL connects these two muscle groups, and is the roof of the carpal tunnel.
My sister has recommended I try this, she told me to look up videos on how to apply to wrist. Only problem is there aren't any videos for the wrist injury I have? So how am I supposed to know how to?
So disappointed in the lack of information and reasoning why this method is done. Seems redundant and waste of time. Theres no solid evidence KT tape works for carpal tunnel and showing just a how-to application to the wrist doesnt say much about anything. Website has nothing to offer as well.
Michael Craig I got mine on Amazon, some colors are cheaper then others. For example purple was 14.00 pink was 10. And they are large strips, I might try cutting mine in half.

but what is the point of the first tape if it has zero stretch anywhere??? Maybe I heard wrong, I'll watch again.
Does it work for HMS wrist pain also (HMS stands for Hypermobility Syndrome) Your joints are to stretchy and very painfull most at the time.
I like the new set up.

how all this tape works for guys with lots of hair on their arms , like me
Shave the area first and then put it on. It’s lame but like it is what it is
FOR HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO KEEP THE KT TAPE?
Anton Perera 3 or 4 days
Literally looks like gymnastics grips for bars 😆
What spray did you use
How does someone cut something with carpal tunnel 😂
Just saying, we can still use our hands with carpal tunnel. It just causes pain or discomfort during flare-ups.
