I didnt know you both have started The Sopranos! 😁 This show remains the measuring stick that all other series based TV shows are held to. The characters, directing, writing, the acting, the layered themes are the gold standard. Great choice!!
The reason why Charmaine told Carmella that story was to say: "Look here bi**h, I had your man...we are on the same level...equal playing ground". She was pissed that Carmella gestured to her just like she did to the maid!!! Women do not accept that well!!!🤣🤣🤣 She knew it would get under Carmellas skin...and she was right. 😉
30:53 those are the rest of the capos (captains) of the family. Most of the mob characters we have seen up until now work for either Tony or Junior. But these 3 guys run crews of their own. They are basically showing a bit more of the family here, as the succession battle is heating up because Jackie is dying.
The reason Charmaine told Carmella is that Carmella kept implying that she feels pity for Charmaine and how they struggle financially with Artie especially after their restaurant got burned down and they have to ketter Carmela's event. It was Charmaine's way of saying "Don't want your pity. Pity yourself. If I wanted to marry a mobster and get all what you have I could but I didn't want to. Didn't want to live my life with bloody money."
Because the hand gesture denoted Charmaine being beneath Carm, but Charmaine let her know that Tony wanted HER at some point so Carm really shouldn't put herself so high 😂😂😂
Tony's dreams: there's a number of dream sequences throughout the show. Some of them have more meaning than others. They all tend to be quite surreal though, so this one sure fits the mould from that point of view! :)
Try seeing some intense foreshadowing. Watch the ending scene of ep 3 again (Meadow’s choir singing “All Through the Night”).The symbolism in the song lyrics are telling you a lot about who Meadow is. The writers want you to connect the song meaning to Meadow. Think of the long musical songs on the show as part of the script. The writers specifically pick songs so the lyrics can be used to advance the story line & explain deeper meaning to what’s occurring. The Sopranos in small part is a musical too. The effort the creators put into music selections & the money they spent on music rights was astounding. The music isn’t just filling time. Songs have a specific purpose. If you can’t figure out the link between Meadow & that songs meaning... don’t worry. They say it again in a later episode... in another song too. This time without any symbolism. They straight up tell you who Meadow is this time.
No one else in Juniors place as it was most likely their social club. Most crews have social clubs where it looks like a place of business but just strictly made guys and associates only.

Drea de Matteo is the actress who plays Adriana la Cerva. You may recognize her from Sons of Anarchy.

Tony and Arthur have been friends since they were 5 years old. It’s always fun to watch tony and arrows true friendship shine thru

Pay extra attention to the photo of the barn in Melfis office. It will be heavily referenced in the season 5 finale.
