I've seen the model of the original Blue Pullman and in books, magazines never ridden on it because I was in my childhood and haven't seen the HST version either hopefully one day. I enjoy watching the RUclips video of the Midland Pullman - Class 43 HST

This really isa fantastic train. We travelled between Sheffield and Bath in December 22. The breakfast was the same (i'm not a black pudding man either but I tried theirs and it was divine!) but we were treat to a delicious five Christmas dinner on the journey back. My initial thoughts were that this is one of those bucket list items you have to do once in your life. However, ;ke many of the other passengers you leave thinking about how you can travel on it again sometime in the future.

It's not - this is a fake: HST sets made to look like the original Blue Pullman's of the 1960's. Mind you, the originals had a reputation for bad riding - the HST sets probably give a much more comfortable ride. At £395 for a day in Pullman Dining they'd need to!

I'd like to travel on that. I saw two Western Pullmans in about 1965 (I'm ancient) and used to drive 159s from Salisbury to Paignton before the route was taken away from us in 2009.

Standards of travel have declined so much on everyday trains regarding interiors of carriages seat formation, lighting and especially dining that this train seems very special now. A fantastic job done on restoring the HST set back to the original seat formation and providing a dining experience of yesteryear (not too long ago actually) Great and successful business idea from the Midland Pulman echoing the Manchester Central service.

I've seen 43046, 055 and 059. They're all in this livery. 43049 was Swallow until quite recently, now it's MP Blue. 43058 is still in Staycation Express green/silver I think
