Again, you really must watch “All I Want Is You/Where The Streets Have No Name” Live at Slane Castle. It is the quintessential U2-experience!
IMO one of U2's greatest songs, probably their best lyrics and without a doubt one of the songs they'll be known for 100 years from now.
Yup. One of the greatest rock ballads ever written
One of the several songs on Achtung Baby diving into The Edge’s crumbling marriage.
Dark, beautiful, bitter, but with that touch of hope and healing thrown in. Masterpiece song on one of the greatest albums of all time.
Philiminizzy you have to react to U2 at Slane Castle in Ireland from 2001 " All i want is you and Where the Streets have no name " it's the best way to react to the band live in front of 88'000 adoring fans "☘️🎹🥁🎸🎤
Great reaction to a great band .. There half time. Show. At. The superbowl. 9/11. Tribute remains my favourite live performance ever... And as a brit... The last time. I seen AMERICA united.....wat.a band👏👏👏

@@PhiliminizzyReacts your. Welcome.. Thnx for reading my response never mind replying lol. It truly. Is an amazing performance... I defy anyone to find a better half time show.. It's sad. How tragedy unites people this performance. Made the, World unite. Thru sport and music.... Just at the right time✌️👏👏🎶
Wow-I had heard that U2 was close to breaking up in 1989 after the release of their live performance album "Rattle and Hum". But I did not know that the backstory to this song had to do with the forces threatening to pull this band apart. Unlike the Beatles, when they got to the point of break and split, the bandmates comprising U2 seemingly found the deepest place within themselves to bring forth the strength needed to meet that existential crisis to the group. U2 is a solid and legendary band, still functional and relevant even to today's musical world, no mean achievement! Something deep and spiritual going on both within this song, and also within this group.
Huge catch on that one, Philip. I've always loved U2, but not been a real hard core fan. But that backstory really speaks to me as to who these guys are and learning some of their story is like you being handed a piece of the puzzle to collect to the story of this band.
I love U2..four reactions in and they have proven to be a force of nature..wow
The message is so important. We are all one.
i agreee
amazing song- all their stuff, especially from 80's and 90's is all time elite. They are the best live band of all time. If you have not checked it out, I would strongly recommend Bad live aid 85 u2 performance. It is a top ten all time moment.
Perfect song
One of their absolute BEST song!!! Bono has never sung better. Lyrics are awesome and the music is gorgeous.
Powerful lyrics…TY U2 for sharing your gift with the world.
Best song, best album and best band ever! :)
All I want is you/where the streets have no name live at slane castle
Nothing short of spectacular to see my favorite reactor doing this song, Philip! You sure know how to bring out the luster and shine from these beautiful classics. In the process, I always find myself coming away with a deeper appreciation of the song as well. And the whole thing is through the roof entertaining! I haven't even got to your take yet, which is where you usually knock me out with your insights! Definitely a fan of this channel-looking forward to your take! Thank you for doing what you do, Philip!!!
mush love to Dan.. you are loved and appreciated. thanks for the love and support
I cannot stress how big this song was ❤🎶
Keep going with U2! Once it touches your soul it will never stop doing so. Of course I recomend All I Want Is You/Where The Streets Have No Name live from Slane Castle.
checkin in...
Lyrically, the song became one of the important life maxims for me. I highly recommend you listen to the Mary J.Blidge & U2 version. Mary makes it a work of art vocally, a little too much for me, almost art for art's sake.
At Christmas time I recommend U2's Angel Of Harem, a tribute song to the fantastic jazz singer Billie Holiday. The text fits the season and is not cheesy. I wish you - yes, all - nice days!!!
