- Opposition Leader Peter Dutton began his 2024 budget reply by saying Australians are “genuinely hurting” under a Labor government.
“Today, millions of Australians are struggling to pay their bills - even going to the supermarket and petrol station has become stressful for many,” Mr Dutton said in Parliament House on Thursday night.
“Interest rates have goer up on 12 occasions under Labor and a typical Australian household with a mortgage is $35,000 worse off.
“Under this Prime Minister, the great Australian dream of home-ownership has turned into a nightmare - even finding somewhere to rent is near-impossible.”
Albo ,this is how a real leader talks to the nation . Duntton it's time to stick it up Labor .

They lost me when they took the people's guns away. We should never let a Government destroy our lives, if you notice, the leaders always seem to live well, even when they mess up our lives.
I actually feel that our gun laws save lives. Imagine how many deaths would occur if a person had a gun instead of a knife. Guns are allowed for those who actually need one. It's bad enough when a few guns sneak through and are used.

At the moment, albo seems like he is doing nothing and always pulls out the “we should spend only to the point it doesnt increase inflation” card. Other countries are also experiencing what we are experiencing (ie over immigration, cost of lving crisis, housing crisis et al). we are doing far worse than them, but countries like Canada has an impressive comprehensive housing plan. Personall i do believe a lot of the inflation is internally generated, else our inflation levels would be at par with other developed countries. But we are at the bottom of the barrel amongst developed nations. So there is something wrong with govt spending…
i just hope someone acts quickly because we are looking at $1,000 median weekly rent for the common house in the next 3-4 years if none of our leaders act. Whether one is pro labor or pro liberal, im sure no one will want a $1,000 weekly rent (higher for mortgage payers).

All through Morrison's time as PM, Albo was like tne nasty little kid in the school playground bullying him no end in parliament, while Scott Morrison was dealing with unprecedented fires all up the East Coast of Australia and other places. Five minutes later he also had to deal with Covid and trying to keep Aussies safe, while he was getting mixed information from so called 'experts'. That must have been a nightmare for him. Then he had to deal with the lies created to destroy his government about mysogeny. My goodness what a plot that was. All the time Albanese was scorning Morrison and trying to destroy him and and all chances that he had of getting re-elected and I would have voted for him in a heartbeat because I knew the irresponsibility of all Labor governments. And I have seen 4 in my lifetime and they were all rubbish! The only reason why we have a surplus is because our commodity prices are up and other countries want to buy our stuff, that's all.
