I remember when "mobile" versions of AAA games used to be little more than 2D de-makes with the same name. That fact that a phone can straight-up run the original game (though, not flawlessly, mind) is pretty mind-boggling.

for someone like me that doesn't play too much, no having to buy a console and just using the devices that I use for work this is amazing. because I can use my phone on the go a then when I'm at home I could play on mi desktop.
Quit saying they’ll never be on par with full fledged computers lol they use to say phones would never be able to play modern AAA games …..and look what we have. People doubt the future and are always proven wrong
Sure. They’re already full fledged computers. What I mean is is that the iPhone 30, which will probably smoke a lot of computers available today, will not be nearly as powerful as the computers that release in that same year. It’s physics. It being a device that fits in your pocket will always hamper its compute power.
Handhelds like the Steam Deck runs RE4 Remake far better. The PS4 which came out 11 years ago runs it far better than the iPhone. And these devices cost a fraction of the iPhone.
haven't watched yet but glad you all are doing some mobile games. some people may have consoles and pc's but they only get time to look at them. but we all got phones!
AAA gaming and phones aren't a thing that's the point, AAA games will always need much more processing space than a pocket device. if you think about it rationally meeting the fidelity requirements will not match
weird then how iphone 16 pro GPU is 2.5 teraflops. thats 2x the ps4 power. the problem is that the ports are not 100% optimised. but if they were it would run way better. and also ios does not have virtual memory so the game crashes if they use more than 5GB memory cus 3GB is reserved for ios so iphone needs a bit more memory. 12 or 16GB then games would run way better
You can change re4 graphics settings via the runestone app. And the iPhone 16 base models do not have vrr like the pro models so you’ll feel framedrops and hitching more
Just downloaded resident evil 4 remake for iPhone 16 pro max but using the touchscreen is hard work what controller is best to get? What do you recommend? Cheers 👍
If you have an extra console controller kicking about it can pair to your phone and Amazon offer phone holder clips for controllers for under $20 that’s what I’ve been doing for years running emulators, been great for business trips and saved buying a specialised controller as I just used a PS4 controller I had for multiplayer. Hope that helps out :)
Cool review bro alot youtubers dont show worst framerate drops on AAA games on new iphones now i can see true ,,power,, of iphone new chip and for me that is not good maybi iphone 18 will run all smooth !!
Appreciate the insight you guys have been giving to this niche development of AAA games on mobile. Dame Tech and some others I have seen on RUclips have shown iPhone 16 more promise than ever for this to be a thing. Like it or not, it is interesting to read about for sure.
Yes please. Waste my phones battery, while playing a more intensive video game... That sounds fantastic, I can't wait to charge it everywhere I go. Also, parts of this really just sound like an ad for the iPhone Pro.
Wait until the Tesla Pi comes out. You won’t have to worry about charging your phone period. There is third party that sells solar battery pack that comes with solar to charge your battery as you go. So you should consider that as an option but it will make your phone thicker.
if im going to pay that price just to play a game on the go better go with the steam deck n used the remaining money on used gaming android phone like red magic to play those exclusive mobile games.
Paraphrasing Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park: "[You were] so preoccupied with whether or not [you] could, that [you] didn't stop to think if [you] should." Nobody wants to play a AAA spectacle on a tiny little phone screen... lol. It's just not the same.

@@tomcaswell1529 yea you’re right about in the same year
Running the game at 15 fps with the low textures doesn't qualify as "play modern AAA games".

@@redring4083 I have the 16 pro and the games been running a steady 30fps
You can fry an egg with how hot those phones get
Apparently it gets less hot then the other iPhones
16pro max is much better than the 15pro max

iPhone 16 pro max the best for gaming, game mode On
AAA gaming and phones aren't a thing

We literally have portable gaming pcs these days

It will happen soon no worries

they will never digest the truth
Would these games run on an iPhone 13 Pro?
Where is the nikoderiko review? It's a new release without any news on it

It doesn’t use much battery tbr, plus it has Qi2 so you can charge it anywhere with a battery pack which is what I do.

According to reviewers : iPhone 15 Pro was the best, but iPhone 16 with a better chip is somehow bad in comparison to 16 Pro ? Huh ????!!!
I like your controller
Sweet so my mobile games I want to make will work on here!
Can you call last gen games made for now 10 year old hardware tripple A?
if im going to pay that price just to play a game on the go better go with the steam deck n used the remaining money on used gaming android phone like red magic to play those exclusive mobile games.
