Hey, someone who actually owns both the Gamevice Flex and the G8! Been scouring the entire internet for any comparison between the two and yours is the only one I have seen. I've been looking for the perfect phone controller setup for the last year and a half, but I almost exclusively play emulated retro games so I'm primarily concerned with the comfort of using the DPad and buttons for long play sessions and not too fussed about the sticks. Could you let me know your thoughts on how reachable/comfortable the DPad is to use on the G8 vs. the Gamevice Flex. Is it possible to use the DPad on either without feeling like you're uncomfortably stretching your thumb down to reach it? If it's not too much to ask, would you be able to measure the distance from the bottom left corner/point of the left grip to the center of the DPad for both the G8 and Gamevice Flex? Ideally I desperately want one of these phone attachment controllers that has the DPad in the primary position above the analogue stick, but I'm fairly certain such a thing does not currently exist.
Does this controller work on all iPhone games? Like Sonic the hedgehog, pub g mobile and call of duty mobile ? Also do you need to pay for those games or are they free?
I wish someone would make a remote control that allows you to use all of your fingers. Not just thumbs and index ones. That would be a remote controller that would match with regular keyboards.
Great review and please correct me if I am wrong but I think the travel on a controller like Xbox is patented and they can't copy the layout perfect for button placement.
May have to look into one of these. My backbone is faulty after 2 years. It keeps taking snapshots and thinking it’s headphones plugged in and mutes my games. Thanks for the review!
Have you tried using it with a ipad or ipad mini? I wonder if it would fit the ipad mini. Been looking for one of these controllers for the ipad mini 6, but all of them either don't work properly or just don't fit. Or in the case of the backbone one. You first need to tinker a lot.
What’s going on with the gamsir app? Reviews across iOS and android are hating on it. Is this controller still useful without the app? The backbone app with the g8 controller looks the ideal combo.
Man, I was ready to buy it right after the video ended but once you said I’d have to take my case off and on every time I wanted to use the thing I was immediately out. Shame, otherwise it looks to be exactly what I was looking for. Bummer.
I had to cut the rubber on both sides to get mine to slightly work. I have a 15 pro max with a Miracase. I have to take the back of the case off but at least the front is protected
I have a 15 plus with a Miracase. I just got this today and the only way I got it to work was cut the rubber pads by the usb c to allow more clearance and take the back half of my phone case off. Other than that it is an awesome controller! I had a backbone for my iPhone 13 for a few years and it died out. This thing feels so much better in hand. Feels premium for sure! May try to find a smaller case to for it. For now at lease the top half of my phone is protected lol.
I just hate that controllers won't work wired even through a hub! There's no good reason Apple refuses to support wired mode with controllers on iPad! Mac does, and I literally have the "same" chipset: an M1 iPad Pro. ENOUGH forcing mobile to be 2nd-class citizens just to differentiate their pricier products!
yeh i hate all the stupid "walled garden" they do, im a adult, paid over $2,000 for this ipad pro. just rediculous, oh and pay us another $100 to side load stuff. @@philodygmn
@@JerrySchulze I like 8BitDo Pro 2 very much, because of its customizability and multi platform support, apart from the fact, that it is a really good controller. You can even replace the battery.
Not yet. I just bought one. It doesn’t support IPhone 13.4 and above so if your phone is current it won’t connect to PUBG or GameSir app. I’m sending mine back.
It sucks with IOS 13.4 and above. Can’t even get it to work with my IPhone 15 Pro Max to play the only game I bought it for PUBG mobile. Sending mine back to find a compatible controller.
@@JerrySchulze I worked for a shop that sold Backbone controllers, many people damage the connector in this way and their warranty claim is then rejected. It would be a shame to damage it :) But your video is great! :) so remember to always start with upper part of your phone and when it flat just slide it to the controller connector :)
I know because I’ve had 2. I am currently on my 3rd and I’m about to quit mobile gaming (for the most part. I still love Brotato and other touchscreen games). COD Mobile is terrible though. Too competitive and too toxic for me.
Looks really nice, but taking off my case every time I want to use it would be too much of a hassle.
Nice review i was really looking for a video explaining how to map the bacl buttons . +1 sub
Glad I could help
looking to buy one of these for my 15 pro for warzome mobile 😋
Hi Jerry my red shadow blade gamepad doesn’t work with my iPhone 15 pro max any fix ?
Do we have a list of what phone cases will work with the iPhone 15 pro max?
Hows the deadzone on the sticks?

Hey, iphone user here. Could you share the app that you use to play emulated retro games?
Friend, is it possible to configure the buttons to your liking, for example changing the X or Y for the RB and LB? haven't found anything about that
Is this the one for iPhone 16 too?

Please tell me how did you adjust R button sensitivity

You don’t need the app to use it.
Hi Sir, Does This One Works On Pubg Mobile And Iphone 15 Pro Max?
iv e got a backbone but feel its to small in my hands and struggle to use the right thumb stick. does this feel bigger better??
Way bigger. Almost Xbox size.
Does the GameSir G8 Galileo support iphone 14? if not then what would you recommend for someone with an iPhone 14?
no the iphone 15 takes usb c and the older iphones do not
How do you setup the “run” button? The gamesir app doesn’t support ios 😢
so will it charge the iPhone 15 pro while playing or not? you were that quick to get to your sponsor we don't have an idea on the charging.
Does this controller require you to install an app to function properly?
nope!
Can you use it on Warzone mobile
Yes
Thanks for the review Jerry.
Hi Jerry what is the game you were playing ? It looks nice 😂
hey Jerry does the headphone jack work on iOS? someone on Reddit said it didn’t!
to answer my own question, the headphone jack does work! 😅with my iPad mini 6
هل تشغل لعبة ريزيدنت ايفل و باقي الالعاب التي تدعم يد بلايستيشن 5
I don’t but I have used Xbox cloud with it.
Could I play Honor of Kings on iOS with this controller?
If the game supports external controllers it will

Yep, bummer. There was a great lightning controller called Gamevice Flex that worked with most cases, but, cant really find it anymore.
Does it work with the iPhone 15 plus
Yes
Can u use that on gamma? (Psx ios emulator)
The new X3 is the best one. That integrated cooler is too OP.
Will it fit on the iphone 16/16 pro?
I see no reason why it would not.
things, that suck are, if it will work, with a case on, gamesir is legit. i just hate taking a case on and off.
Stop abusing commas
It works with the case on

Will an iPad Mini 6 fit in it???
Can anyone please recommend a controller I can use while having my case on that’s like a backbone with lightening rather than USB-C 🙃
probably the game vice flex, i got the white backbone (i love the ps symbols) for my 14pm and i got used to no case
but i heard the V2 backbone allows cases now so get that if you want! i got the v1 cuz they’re like $30 on ebay
What will work best with the game Mini Football on iPhone 15 plus??

Yes!
Does anyone know how to get this controller to work with cod mobile
Does this work on 14pro models too
No, USB-C only and you cant find the good Gamevice Flex for iphone 14 now.
How do I run on left joystick?
Is it works on emulators?
Can it fit s24 ultra with a casing on
Different colors of thumbsticks? Where ?
Can Razer Kishi V2 and V1 play Honkai Impact 3 and Genshin Impact?
I got the SCUF and I am so disappointed, it would be so much better with a USB C direct plug in
ANKER IS AWESOME! I’ve been seeing them everywhere lately

For sure! What controller do you like?
i own alot, the KingKong 2 Pro is good, and the xbox pro v2 and ps5 to many to list. i think i have about 30+@@JerrySchulze

Pubg does not support controllers. You need to play games that support a controller.
Hmm I see videos with people playing PUBG with controllers 🤷♂️
What about the 14 pro max
I think on of the best phones for these type of controllers is the note 20 ultra
This GameSir G8 is much expensive than the BSP D9 🤔
You are inserting iphone into this controllers (bacbone too) totally wrong

@@JerrySchulze ok so is that one better than the backbone?

@JerrySchulze nice. i ended up getting the iphone14. still good with it?

You’re right. The sticks on backbone one do in fact feel like the Nintendo Bitch console. Also, the backbone one gets stick drift.
