Let me take that back. He was the only one to appear on Biggie's first album and the last album Pac did when he was still alive. That's what I meant to say.
Method man tried super hard to look grimy and stay out of the ''pretty boy'' image and still the girls loved him. Even my sister and aunt was hyped of Meth's looks.
Dude legit compared moving from illegal to legal life to drinking light and dark liquor lol...part of what I love about his raps is his how he chooses to describe things.
princemastaking I AGREE ALSO IN ALL CAPS SO IT APPEARS THAT I AM SHOUTING! HOWEVER, RZA AND METHOD ARE WILLING TO DO ALBUMS FOR CLOSE TO NO PAY JUST FOR THE LOVE OF WU AND THE REST ARE THINKING ABOUT THE MONEY FIRST, ESPECIALLY RAEKWON.
Lots of damn actors have made it Queen Latifah , Ludacris , Mos Def, LL Cool J , DMX , Ice Cube , T.I., Puffy ,Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Will Smith , Ice T …just hush at this point
Without RZA there is no Wu-Tang. Its so amazing he got all these dudes he grew up with to join forces and have all the solo success Wu members had. That won't ever happen again. And they did it without social media help so that makes it even more insane
You could kinda tell that Meth was the most passionate, he was never the most lyrical in the Wu, but the Charisma and Energy of his rhyme style was unmatched.
Defo, he was my face growing up because his style was easy to digest but then as I grew older I started moving towards RZA until I realised that a lot of RZA verses I liked were in fact Ghost.
I could listen to Rae talk all day. Not even rhymes either...Dude is just ridiculously creative, and it comes out in everything he does. They’re all like that, to an extent, but this guy just seems wise beyond his years.
Inspectah Deck had the most talent and was totally given a disservice by the entire hip hop community. INS is the greatest member of the group in my opinion.
Where's the catalogue bruh? Imo, speaking humbly, you can only consider: GZA, Rae, Ghost and possibly Method Man. They have the albums, singles to be worthy in the conversation, not just the odd verse. Although on Triumph, INS went into God- Mode.
most talent in what? lyrically or production because he's not the best lyricist and he's a dope producer but he's not the best either. He IS however extremely underrated
I always thought Ghostface was/is the most passionate out of the whole Wu Tang Clan. Meth had passion in his rhymes, and he could rhyme all day, but Killahs voice, his delivery, his Shaolin style, deadly as fuck!!
He meant Meth was the most passionate about the GROUP like method man believed in the Wu more than any of them is what he’s saying …Meth felt they was actually brothers and meth wanted to lead them to MORE and wanted them all to have more as a family that’s what he meant by the most passionate about the WU
My guess is that Ghostface Killah is the most passionate. Method Man has literally said that he doesn't enjoy rapping as much anymore, and that he prefers acting. Ghostface Killah is the only one who has been very consistent with album outputs. Raekwon to a certain degree, but not on the same level.
lol that's funny, I never even considered Method Man light skin. I do agree he had the most energy of the group and imo some of the best singles as a solo artist. I was just listening to You're All I Need w/ MJB. Classic song.
+silence in. the even black Rza said it himself he put method man on the front because he was by far the best looking and most handsome member to attract the female and juvenile audience, just like GZA was better lyrically for white college kids, ghost and Rae were more rough speaking fat gangbangers for the corner kids to listen etc. Etc. Point is meth was light and fly, and just by pure coincidence he was super charismatic and could spit hot fire.
seriously this answers the question ive had since i was 13 yrs old in 94 which was , why does meth get a solo song on the album with 9 members and everyone was ok with it ? i now know , rea kept it 10000 and that takes a strong group of friends to do that
Because after the Method Man hit they all decided to push and promote Meth first, plus he was the most complete MC in terms of flow, lyrics, and even the voice.
Let's not forget that GZA also had a solo track on the album, "Clan in the front", but that kinda happened by accident. You see, Gza was tired of always going last on the records because nobody wanted to follow Gza's verse, so he demanded that he would go first on this record, but nodoby wanted to follow his verse, so it became a solo track instead....true story :)
