Just got my 2017 maxima sv, I love it so much. I was coming home from a 4 hour drive getting it and omg Ngl I love the cvt tbh. Like I was going 85 home the whole way and it’s just chillin at 2,000 rpms and is not trying at all. Take what you want from this but this car is a great commute
I just bought a new 2017 Maxima Platinum this week. I love it. The only thing I didn’t like was it didn’t come with a rear spoiler which made the back end look sorta chopped off to me so I got the dealership to install me one as part of negotiations. Looks badass now.

This car is fun to drive and sporty, Maxima is different from so many cars on the road and always a wonderful look.its not over priced like a Lexus or Acura and it looks different than the years before the other models.i had a Lexus which really is a high priced Toyota Camry. Not worth it at all.
Iv driven the same Scion tC (2007) for about 10 years now. That being said, I absolutely LOVE the Maxima's interior! You have to sit in one to really understand what I mean because the pictures don't do it justice. Im looking for a new car around the $30,000 mark. What other cars around this price range have sexy interiors?
Having issues the the touch screen, it will spam the settings button or the navigation button over and over again, it won't stop ! Anyone have any idea how to fix it?
For future reference...It's spelled Infiniti, not Infinity, and I own an Infiniti Q50 that I love very much... But even a fully loaded Q50 doesn't have laminated windows, cooled seats, a power rear sun shade, a flat bottom steering wheel, a large display in between the gauges, or double sun roofs like the Maxima has. I like the interior design and interior quality better than the Q50 as well. If only the Maxima was RWD and had a 7, 8, or 9 speed auto transmission, I'd be driving a Maxima Platinum instead of my Q50 right now.
All of Nissan dealers are cheater and stupid. Everyday, they only studies how to cheat customers not study about Nissan cars. That's why even GSM(general sales manager) do not know how to turn on blind spot in Maxima. And a sales men are so stupid. My friend works in Nissan company recommended me Courtesy Nissan in Richardson in TX as a good dealer. At least, they take care of cars clean but they sold a 2017 Nissan Maxima, which used have hale damage and not fixed clean, as a new car. and plus they cheated on paper work. Even they dare to drive and use customers' cars when customers drop their cars for service. Even they put trashes in USB cable coin box after they eat some candies when they went to picnic with a customer's car. I have changed my cars 9 times in the U.S. My cars were Honda, Toyota, Scion, Lexus. I've never gotten any problem with those cars. Never leave negative feedback by wasting my time for those car. 2017 was 1st time for me to buy a Nissan-Maxima. But it made me to waste too much time to call customer service due to bad Nissan dealers. Nissan company only answered " We do have possess Nissan dealer so we cannot do anything, the only thing what we can do is to explain how you feel to dealer shop." That is all what I can hear from them. If you read my comment here, it is so easy for you to found out that I am not a native-English speaker-it means it is so hard and waste more time than native-English speaker to leave feedback. so you can imply how much I am so disappointed to Nissan company and how much Nissan dealers make me pissed off and how much Nissan company failed to manage dealers and they do not care customer they are dealers side. I am going to start a consumer strike for Nissan and Infinity till they wake up and fix those issues. If they need direct sale system(Customer go to Nissan showroom and service center and order-Nissan Factory built up a car as following customer's order and ship to the Nissanshowroom and service center clean up car and make ready for customer in 1 or 2 mile driven condition without crazy gangster cheater dealers), they should try it.
BE CAREFUL IF THIS HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION. It is over $4000 to fix it, and they are known to have problems soon after the warranty expires. Look it up! The info is out there. This is not an isolated problem. Mine gave no warning. shifted fine since 2011 and in 2016 - it just died. towed off to the dealer and waited for a new trans. aprox 85k freeway miles, and it just died. typical from what I read. I also had a 1986 Maxima that lost the transmission in less than 10K ! But because Nissan replaced that one under warranty, we purchased another one in 2011. We thought Nissan as a consumer concerned company, so we trusted them.. We were about 15,000 over warranty, and Nissan turned their back on us, even though we were still within the time of warranty (7 years) but past the mileage (70,000 miles). Needless to say, we will not be purchasing a Nissan product ever again. I owned an Inifinit. I sold it before it lost it's Nissan transmission.
love the car but I gotta pick .I'm not a fan of the "floating roof" design.....I like the pillars to be body colored....other then that this car is awesome.
DUDE, I SOOOO AGREE! but the black aint bad i guess. And i dont like that it has a cvt transmission! They should of put an 8 speed automatic in it. But i think this car looks GREAT! really do.
Floating roof looks better if you have the dual glass roof because it's black like on my 2016 SL. If it's the SR with the solid color roof I don't like it as much.
Just hit 90K on my 2017 sv without one issue.. seems pretty reliable so far
I'm almost at 90k on my SV as well and it's as much fun to drive now as it was when I first got it.
