Her hair came out so beautiful! Thank you for being transparent. I’m a hairstylist and I’ve had my ups and downs in the industry since graduating school a few years ago. There was a time when the money was good! But since the pandemic it’s been a struggle. I love doing hair, but between the cost of salon rent and supplies it’s been hard. I’m praying to be able to go back to doing hair full time soon!❤
You will!! Find something that you could improve in that would allow you to bring in and retain more clients
I think social media stylist made it hard for actual licensed stylist. Now you hear every complaining of damaged hair, big chops, and doing their hair at home. Because the kitchen trained girlies head have blown up to sizes unimaginable as have most of their prices. Yet most still haven’t went back to get the actual education they just chase the trends. And the girlies became more focused on if it looks good forgetting the bones and foundation matter the most and give you actual versatility. I want real salon culture and beauticians to come back. Tired of them social media pyramid scheme “hairstylist”. Stick it out, there are some of us that still care about our hair.

Awwww! I’m a hairstylist also. 14 years in. I’ve had my ups and downs but God has kept me. I opened my salon almost 8 years ago and when I look back on it I don’t regret a thing. God is my provider! Being a hairstylist is my calling… my salon is my ministry. Thanks for your transparency…. This business is no joke.

Everything I'm going through is hindering my life! I feel stuck and like I'm in prison. I have so much love, talent, and beauty, but I've been so distracted with this family court case that I've lost myself for years. Trying to keep my little sweetie safe from someone who is supposed to be her protector has drained me of money and strength!!!
