"Revanchist" is actually a word in regular English, derived from the French. It means "Of or relating to a policy designed to recover lost territory or status". Also, since the word is derived from the French for "Revenge", Revan's movement could correctly be called The Avengers.

To be fair, that's how the first Jedi fell and started the 100 Year Darkness.
That’s because he lacked discipline. The Jedi need to be more like Mace Windu, who uses a Sith lightsaber technique but has enough discipline to remain one of the Order’s greatest champions
The Jedi can always be seen in many different ways.
@@darthrevan2961 easier said than done. Both Jedi who learned Vapaad besides Windu fell to the dark side. And one of them was a respected Jedi Master. Mace Windu even acknowledges in the end that no-one else has the mentality for Vapaad.
Discipline isn't enough. Wisdom is just as important. And many times in Star wars, once a character ignores the wisdom of the Masters, Revan included, they end up suffering dire consequences. Revan may have saved the Republic by ignoring the masters, but his insatiable hunger for knowledge did ultimately lead to his fall.
While you are right, to be fair, learning to adhere to said wisdom does require discipline. As such, you must also have the wisdom to be able to handle discipline. They can’t exist without each other.
Me and son want to see a either a animated series or live action movies of the story of revan leading all the kotor games.

Revan's story could easily fit into a TV Series, imagine how beautiful that would be. Written and directed by a true fan of course, with no profit motivation.

Revan life story is possibly one of the most compelling sources of science fiction ever made! From his time in the Mandalorian wars to when he’s a ghost. And yet well never see a accurate movie of his story.

great video, revan is my favorite SW character and you did a great job exploring his origins, i always love learning new things about him and his story. Just a minor note, you mentioned mandalorian crusaders, but I think those were the mandalorians during the great sith war. The neo-crusaders were the ones led by Mandalore the Ultimate against which Revan fought iirc

Yeah, they were around! I think they dissipated a few years before the start of the game. Or at least they were never spoken about again.

You know like kill more than 6 million Jews, start world war 2 (the most destructive war in history) stubbornly dictated German strategy and tactics for much of the war. That were so horrible that they practically made victory for the German military impossible. Despite the fact that at that point in history, the German military may have literally been the finest military machine on the planet.
And of course who could forget Hitlers accomplishment of handing the German people. The biggest defeat in their history and damn near destroyed his own country.
Hitler was a failed painter who’s failure with women led him to try and force a romantic relationship on his own Niece.
Who realized death was far better than being with Hitler and killed herself to avoid him.
Hitler was a failed soldier who believed he was a wise and talented strategist. But even after defeat after defeat. Hitler continued on thinking of himself as a German Napoleon. But anyone who has read a history book knows that Hitlers lack of tactical reasoning and outright stupidity. Resulted in the Allies actually abandoning any and all attempts to assassinate him as realized that one of the biggest advantages that the allies had over the Germans was hitlers stupidity.

I just found out this channel (Instant subscribe btw) I'm a huge fan boy of Revan (maybe the biggest), I knew almost every smallest detail and peace of content that had mention of Revan and had any connection to his story. But this video is done so well and its really detailed that it has even shown me some things I never knew. For example the part that Malachor V was forbidden to Mandalorians. I never knew that and I wonder from what source is it if I may ask, btw amazing channel and videos keep up the good work!

It was considered 'Taboo' to the Mandalorian people, however I'm not completely sure why. I don't think it was ever explained as to why it was taboo. As to where it was directly stated, I cannot remember. I think it was one of the essential books. Essential Atlas I think!

I didn't like what swtor did with revans story if it was up to me I would have the jedi knight rescue revan and make him part of his crew where he would teach the jedi about the sith emperor and eventually lead the jedi to the emperor were they defeat him after which everything linked to the emperor would also die including revan who would slowly age and then become one with the force. but thats my crazy idea!
I would've had a game where you start playing as Meetra Surik, freeing Revan from the prison on Dromund Kaas. Then, you leave the planet, now playing as Revan (with Meetra joining your party) and you have to build you own army to attack Dromund Kaas and kill the Emperor.
100% Star Wars dam thats a good idea for kotor 3 dude.

Revan was the Vader of his age and a legendary force user with the compassion of a Jedi, and the care, passion, and power of a sith. I don't believe he fell I believe he made a decision, a decision that would save the galaxy from a grizzly fate i believe he was a hero

So in a sense, we are the Dark Lord and if you follow the LS game play we are the redeemed. If you play DS then you are the Dark Lord reborn. Anyway....off to romance Carth Onasi and Bastila. Don't get me wrong. I think the Sith Emperor Vitiate is an awesome concept and that Revan got pawned by him. However, the Revan novel and the MMO were an awful POS. That needs to be Retconned out. It's terrible and Revan's character death suxed.

That is often the way of the Sith. Especially after the Sith Empires fall.
They really are. At minimum they all seemed to be dark Jedi. Their reasoning all seems to be pretty similar as well. They all seem to get fed up with the Jedi's hypocrisy. It's actually quite interesting.

I personally don’t think it’s needed, plus the K.O.T.O.R Duology R.P.G’s are pretty expansive in term’s of lore that can be explored.

Who do you think would win, Exar Kun and Ulic Quell Droma as sith, or Revan and Malak as sith?
That's an interesting question! In that period of time, I would say the battle would come down to the strengths of *Darth* Revan and Exar. Ullic and Darth Malak are nowhere near as powerful as the other two, which would affect the battle in a way (Although I think Malak would edge it if it were a 1v1)
Because I think Malak would edge Ullic, I think it would end up being a 2v1 against Exar Kun.
The battle would mainly be down to *Darth* Revan and Exar. *Darth* Revan was powerful but nowhere near his full potential, and Exar Kun had reached his potential but was trapped on Yavin. I would say that Exar would edge this battle. He had a full mastery of the Dark Side, had Freedon Nadd's Spirit in support and was amplified by the power of the amulet and Yavin itself.
I would say this. If the battle was on Yavin 4 or any Dark Side Nexus for that matter (apart from Malachor) I would say Exar. If the battle wasn't on a Dark Side Nexus, I would say *Darth* Revan and Darth Malak

100% Star Wars I wouldn't put Ulic and Malak out. Ulic was able to defeat Mandalore in single combat, and it was confirmed that Malak was the superior duelist over Revan. I feel like Revan and Malak had the best advantage working as a team, with all there experience doing so. I think Exar's equipment might win the day though.
Luke Price Where was is confirmed Malak was the better dueltist? From my knoweledge Revan was far superior. (He sliced his jaw off don't forget)
Also Drew Karpshyn's comments on Revans dueling skills are completely contradictory to so many of Revans accomplishments prior to the book.
For me Ullic was never *truly* a Sith. I believe Malak would be able to overcome him (that is completely my opinion though)
I agree that Revan and Malak have a synergy, which is why I think they would overcome Exar 2v1. But Exar when Nexus amped would definitely beat them.

As much as I like this video, Revan and Malak didn't fall to the dark side until they met the Emperor on Drumaand Kaas and failed to kill him.
The confrontation between Malak, Revan and Vitiate was the dominion of their minds. Vitiate simply accelerated their fall, made them slaves to his will and gave them Darth titles. Both Revan and Malak had BEGUN to be seduced by the Dark Side prior to their meeting with emperor. They didn't denounce being Jedi however until Vitiate twisted their minds. Revan unearthed the Trayus Academy while scouting for bases during the Mandalorian Wars, and it was here that he discovered Sith Teachings. He fought for the Republic because he needed loyal followers for the greater war to come that he had learned about.
You are right in the sense that they were COMPLETELY enthralled by the Dark Side after meeting the emperor, and had officially become Sith Lords. However, you are wrong in that they didn't fall before meeting him.

The MMO is 💩 fest. Took a big dump on Revan and Meetra’s story. KotOR 3 should’ve happened where they Reunited and kick the Sith Emperor’s ass. Change my mind.
This dude's story would have been far more amazing for Anakin, instead of the story we got in the prequels. it was like when bioware created the story, they wanted to make what should have been Anakin's story
