This is great shifting. I once saw a guy bring a new at the time c5 vette out to the races. After 4-5 runs he was going to let another racer drive. Buddy yelled out, “THIS IS STICK??!” He was shifting so smooth EVERYONE thought it was auto, myself included. This guy above has the same quick feet and hands as that old timer I saw that day

Nice GT500. Good diving and shifting. The MGW shifter, especially for that year will do wonders for your shifting.
This car been banging gears on the channel even with the stock shitter however the mgw made unbelievable improvement replying as a freind of a freind of the Shelby owner
I have heard really good things about MGW shifter. Might get one for my Z06 this year
I got an mgw shifter and yes, it's AMAZING. also longtubes 2.5 upper 10% lower complete cooling, suspension, exhaust and 373 gears. Car handles like a go cart and is much better with the koni yellows...last car I'll ever buy.

Just got home from driving my old 08 GT500. One of the, if not most appealing thing about these cars is the vibe and feel you get when driving them. The live rear axle makes for some fun and feels like you're driving a polished car from the 60s. The sound of it with a high breathing aftermarket exhaust is pure bliss.

Is the Shelby stock gearing in the rear end? Also points to the Shelby driver for rowing like a true land yacht navigator, I didn't see him drop any when shifting.

The driver got that driver mod. If you don't shift like this your results won't be as good lol. Driver greatly effects performance of a manual trans vehicle. These things with the right driver can put on work.

I'm more impressed with the BMW. It's not even an M car, just a regular 340i, and almost as fast as the Mustang GT500 which is the most powerful road car Ford has ever built lol.
There are so many BMW M cars which would destroy this Mustang, let alone lesser models that would destroy it with a few mods.

@@ArsenGTS I played it back in 0.75x and 0.5x and still don’t see any jump. Whine definitely comes after 3 too. If you do see him jump, it has to be one or two tenths of a second before 3 which I wouldn’t even count as a jump. I only say that because some people count like AG (1..2..3), some count quick (123) and for all we know he could be used to the latter.
But I think I got too deep into this 😂

An M car from BMW with a couple of mods and a tune would literally destroy this Ford, and even this regular 340i with a Pure800 turbo, or better still a Vargas GC+, would absolutely walk away from this Ford, even though it has a smaller engine.

A 340i/240i/140i with an upgraded Pure 800 or even better Vargas GC+ would literally destroy this Ford, and I mean gap it in a couple of seconds, and none of them are even M cars hahah ....

@@DjNikGnashers it's a 5.4 v8. It's 15 years old and runs low compression. It's impressive to do 800 TO THE WHEELS with a simple blower swap and bolt ons. It's also a stick shift going up against a lame ass auto that basically drives itself for you. The gt500 is a man's car.
Ok do that then we'll put a vmp gen3r 2650 tvs on the gt500 while we're at it. You're gonna lose this battle.
