I believe most of those slabs are Hybrid crappie. Many times they are introduced into private lakes so that they don’t over populate and produce thousands of undersized fish. Nice work, MulletMan!! Love your channel!!
That was insane that Lake has a overwhelming amount of big crappie in it for you two guys to pull that many big ones out and back to back the lake is chock-full of huge crappie. Great video
The mayo recipe I like is to use it as the "wet" in lieu of the egg dip. I usually put some lemon juice and dill in with the mayo, stir it up, dip it in there, then in flour or crumbs (Cornflake cereal crumbs are awesome on fish or chicken) and then cook it. It works better for baking, in my opinion. Try it that way one time. I wish we had Crappie here - I keep seeing videos about them and how good they are! Take care, Heather🇨🇦
that was better'n watchin the Super Bowl !!!! great tyme watchin you two slay them best catch , clean'n cook yet ... this year will be Epic for you Mike aka '' mulletman '''... award winning right here !!!
the one thing i wouldn't want to learn from his is how to fillet a fish. we catch half that size up in Hoosier country and still make steaks. that turkey carver sucks, use a fillet knife and follow the bone. soo wasteful watching this.
South Louisiana coonass here, love your channel, where I come from you only fry or bake Sac-a-lait (what we call it) White perch or Crappie. We put mayo on our Red Fish from the Gulf, but we mix a little Tony's in it with some lemon juice and garlic.
Hey brother, I definitely recommend the mayo trick on wild salmon. Sprinkle over top some fresh cut "fine" dill, and lemon slices "rings" Bake that up. You'll be very happy!
Use mayo to help hold the seasoning on or instead off egg and milk before frying. Just a little to make dry batter stick. We use mustard in Mississippi before dipping into dry batter the fry or bake seasoned up. I’m watching this video on my way to crappie fish!
That’s some nice crappie, I subbed to your channel through LFGs recommendation and I think it’s gonna be the one of my top watched channels . 👍🏼 good content
Hey bud with the mayo fish put some onion tomato jalapenos and cilantro after you rub it with mayo some all purpose seasoning then bake hella of good!!
For the Mayo I usually do: Fish (seasoned the way you like it) then I top it with a healthy layer of mayo mix (mayo, lemon juice, oyster sauce, onion and garlic powder) bake it until the fish is almost cooked and then set it on high broil until the mayo is nice and golden
SUPER thin layer of real mayo with some tony's sprinkled on top and squeeze a half a lime. BOOM! I like to leave the crappie on the half shell cooks better in my opinion. I do Red fish the same way!
yeees!i am from calif. and I have never used this fraise b/4, That... is a mess of fish. I live on a lake and we have big crappie too. I think crappie is one of the best tasting fresh water fish. your cannel is similar to DMFD and BLUEGABE. losta fishing, hunting, and outdoor stuff. great channel. thx.
Btw this is my forth time watching this since Feb. 2019 or so. Those fish where amazing. I never caught a Crappie, it is on my list though thanks to you and the Guys.
And also that was a bunch of nice slabs as you call them that you caught. I'm mainly a saltwater fisherman but you are quickly turning me into a freshwater fisherman
Wow, those crappie are huge! They say everything is bigger in Texas. Apparently that’s true for crappie! Good to see somebody grilling fish for a change. So many people fry the fish, and jack the calories way up, making it less healthy. Grill the fries, too.
Is the Mayo that good I've never had fish with mayo? That seems so crazy especially without any seasoning. I'm glad it worked out for you guys and I hope it does work out because I'm going to try that.
I always use mayonnaise on my Atlantic salmon . I just put it on top of the fish with a little parmigiana cheese . Always a winner with friends. Throw in the broiler for a couple of minutes after it’s almost done to brown the top off . Yummy
Put a Mexican twist to the mayo. Add chipotle pure, minced garlic, melted butter, a pinch of oregano and blend. Works owesome on half shell redfish or snook over mesquite coals.
Make a trip to colorado for duck or goose season this year! They need to fear the mullet! Got some public land to hit hard this year, your more than welcome!
We use to catch them that big but our lake was over fished people were keeping them by the 5 gallon bucket full now there is a 9 inch minimum and your real lucky to get one 9 inches long.
Hey Mulletman try some lemon pepper, garlic salt, and black pepper mixed in the mayo then spread on over the fish on your next video lmk what you think... 🤙🏾
My Pops would use mayo sometimes and put Italian bread crumbs sprinkled on top. But go lighter on the mayo next time! Great video as always Mullet Man!
Try mixing mayonnaise with soy sauce and garlic powder and then spread it on the fish, it tastes really good with fresh Bonito, and should be excellent with Crappie.
No way I could have cleaned all of those... at least 3 of them would have gone on the wall especially that last one he pulled out of the well. Helluva a good video!
Make a dish out of tin foil that you can close when you cook it and smother in mayo then season with old bay, garlic salt, onion and pepper then bbq medium until fish is cooked fully. Try it mullet man it is pretty darn good!
When I use the mayo way to cook fish. Cover the fish in mayo and season them how you want. The use the mayo as a binder and cover em in panko bread crumbs and fry them suckers up
Mix mayo with dijon mustard then roll the fish in panko bread crumbs. Not to much mustard tho cause it will over power the flavor. After that, bake it in the oven. It's good my dude✌
Man you gotta use trivets for your hot dishes. You never put them on your granite or your ceramic stove, it can crack them. Awesome fish yall caught, I'm jealous lol
That is some good eating right there! Just how I do my crappie also bake it with some Cajun seasoning. Great day of fishing there man. I liked your videos, I’m a new sub.
Mullet man you gotta brush on the mayonnaise! It’s gonna leave like a glaze on the fish and it gets nice color! You can do it on chicken too when you bbq
Great Recipe : Coat fish in your favorite Hot Sauce then Flour thouroughly and Deep Fry. Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I've done this with Walleye, Perch & Bullhead and it was great every time. I learned this recipe from a RUclipsr named "Lakeforkguy". I'm pretty sure if you do this you'll want to do again. God Bless...

You sure can catch the slabs. But the skin is the bomb. I scale them, gut them and either fry them or bake them. Good video.
Mullet Man. You and Robert Arington from deer meet for dinner should hook up and make a video. That would be epic.
Jesus Flores that would be epic
Robert is the GOAT
That would be dope actually
Definitely would be a banger
Where have Robert & Sarah been? Haven't seen much of them lately. Really grew to enjoy following them.

Dull blades suck and you are correct, electric knife is the only way to filet. Awesome Crappie! Love it.

Some hammers !!!! And yes Alton. You MUST take advantage of that. Epic !!!!!!

Hey bud with the mayo fish put some onion tomato jalapenos and cilantro after you rub it with mayo some all purpose seasoning then bake hella of good!!
I've never heard of baking fish in just Mayo but I'll take your word for it. Made my mouth water the whole cooking episode part of it LOL
Great video man those are some of the biggest crappie I’ve ever seen. Definitely gonna have to keep a few this year and give this a try.
Mayo spread all over the fish with Panko and Parmesan over the top is insanely good
For the Mayo I usually do:
Fish (seasoned the way you like it) then I top it with a healthy layer of mayo mix (mayo, lemon juice, oyster sauce, onion and garlic powder) bake it until the fish is almost cooked and then set it on high broil until the mayo is nice and golden
Season fillets, then mix equal parts Mayonnaise, Italian Bread Crumbs and Parmesan Cheese. I use the same mix when baking chicken breast.
SUPER thin layer of real mayo with some tony's sprinkled on top and squeeze a half a lime. BOOM! I like to leave the crappie on the half shell cooks better in my opinion. I do Red fish the same way!

And that exactly how bass fishermen are converted in to crappie fanatics!!!! Good job guys
We kinda do the same thing with tuna. Use mayo and some sesame oil in a bag, toss the fish in. Coat it well and bake.
Nice Video Mullet Man. I will try the mayo thing with some Halibut tomorrow and see how it turns out. Thanks for the tip.

My Grandma always cooked her striper in Mayo then breadcrumbs on top and a slice of bacon on top of that.. amazing
Wow, those crappie are huge! They say everything is bigger in Texas. Apparently that’s true for crappie!
Good to see somebody grilling fish for a change. So many people fry the fish, and jack the calories way up, making it less healthy.

I used to use mayo, now i use ranch! Season and drizzle with ranch then cover. Works wonders on everything from crappie to salmon
Put a Mexican twist to the mayo. Add chipotle pure, minced garlic, melted butter, a pinch of oregano and blend. Works owesome on half shell redfish or snook over mesquite coals.
