KQ is one of a kind company. I love the fact that their current two groups have their own and unique concepts. For xikers, their concept is based on Dokkaebis (or goblins), Korean mythological spirit creatures that trick their victims. If you play with them you will be rewarded, like the old man in the MV, but if you refuse you better be prepared for your choice. And after they play with you they’ll transform into objects, most of the times house appliances like brooms. So yeah, practically they are the tricksters of K-pop and if you’re able to watch their contents you can see them already doing not because they have to stick to it but because they naturally mischievous youngsters, in one episode they have to play a game to win food and they literally tricked the production team it was funny 😂. Also, as their older brothers they have their own lore, based on KQ introduction of this group, their name is a combination of X the space coordinates and HIKERS as travellers, so they are children who are able to travel throughout space and time freely WITHOUT ANY BOUNDARIES! Unfortunately they live in a world where the society expect them to follow their rules and to not step out their boundaries, so they have to follow the algorithm that the society created, and children who don’t follow these rules are marked with an X. So few children gathered together to find TRICKY (an entity feared by many that is able to travel through different dimensions freely) in their dream. I’m not gonna spoil too much, cause there are clues in the album. I’m just going to say that TRICKY is that little cute mascot in their logo and KQ has already released 2 short video of this little prankster so funny. And lastly, this MV might be actually in medias res. That’s it, we will find it on April 24th, if that phrase is true or not.

Yeah, Yechan is so energetic and good when performing, and I think in the song "xikey" he literally calls himself Boss Baby. He has such a unique way of rapping, and I don't know if he can speak English, but when he does, he sounds fluent and has a fun way of rapping in english.

If you look at the credits, he is right up there beside even Eden (their main producer) which is a big deal! 2. The direct translation is actually Dokkaebi House! They are often represented by blue flaming orbs and if you read the lyrics, you can see that they are actually giving the poor poor old man everything he ever wanted! Dokkaebi can either be really helpful or really....well, tricky! Also, the end of the video where the man is surrounded by brooms, is actually an intresting point from the folklore that Dokkabi often turn into brooms when the deed is done. Fun Fact: Some of their lyrics actually come from an old Korean nursery rhyme about goblins!
KQ is definitely THAT company.....the talent that they gather together, train, and put out is just top tier and on a whole nother level. 🙂 As with Ateez, Xikers doesn't feel like a rookie group either. Xikers is the first K-pop group that I've followed since pre-debut, and I was very impressed from the get-go, so I knew that I was going to support them as much as I can. I pre-ordered their album and ever since I got it in a few weeks ago I have to listen to it atleast once a day, I love their "sound", the whole album is 🔥 imho. 😉 And I adore the pizza box album packaging, it's so cute (my hubby loves it too, he used to deliver pizzas for quite a few years, and he thinks that packaging is cool and fits them really well), my favorite "pull" from it is the little Xikers magnet. ☺️ The album actually hit #75 on the Billboard Hot 200, they are only the second debut K-pop guy group to do so (this is what I read on Billboard's site), that's so exciting, I'm so happy for them. 😊 I feel like a proud mom, I'm sure the heck old enough to be 😂 I call them "My Sons" when I'm talking to my husband about them. 😂 He's very impressed by them, too. I can't wait to see where these 10 phenomenally talented young men are going to take us next, I'm definitely excited to be along with them for their "Hiking" journey, I'm sure the next 'stop' will be even more thrilling. 😊 Ateez is my Ult group for many reasons, but the main reason is because of just how talented they've been since the beginning, and Xikers is the same way, atleast to me; so I have a feeling I'm gonna be a lifelong fan of them. 😊

These boys were just awesome and I loved Tricky House (the song and choreo) when I first heard it there. I think it was so smart of KQ to send them on tour with ATEEZ to give them the experience and to introduce them to the thousands who came to see ATEEZ.
The way the first time I saw them I was like “My 10 new sons - Hello!!” They are so so good! Edited to add: They have a mischievous Goblin concept. Xikers had a predebut survival show called The Player Kpop Quest which is on kocowa and Viki. Here’s the summary of the show: The best artists are gathered to come up with the K-Pop star of the next generation. This project is to form a new idol group by training the idol trainees through various quests. Not like the survival audition programs from the past, this show focuses on the journey to their debut and how they grow up while preparing for their debut. Lyn, Kim Sung Kyu, EDEN, HANHAE, and Honey J will train them in vocals, rap, and dance, and Master MC Defconn and Jo Jung Sik will be watching them. Will the members complete the players’ missions and be upgraded as super rookies?

Producer Eden said that this song was very heavily inspired/influenced by Bollywood and you can definitely hear the Bollywood sound and rhythm in the whole song. So the "shanty" lyrics might tie in with that, too, along with their concept as goblins and tricksters: Because in Hinduism, "Shanti" is a Sanskrit word meaning "peace" or "inner peace". So, since the man indulged in playing with these 10 goblins, they are now chanting "peace" to him at the end of his wild journey with them. 😉❤️
