I got my first tattoos this month and went to a guy who was trying to keep a business afloat in this pandemic. He only charged me 300$ for 6 hours of work including a custom design, I happily gave him a 200$ tip hoping it will help him to survive these times so I can go to him again. If people do good work support them so they are around after times are hard.
Apart from being delighted with your generosity, that tattooist is going to do amazing work for you. He will always be available for any work you need and will almost certainly do more for longer than the time you pay for in the future. Generous tipping always brings its own benefits.

Imagine having 500 quid to drop on a tattoo. My family thinks I’m gonna go to uni and study business and law so I can take care of my parents. Man I just wanna live my best life wirh sleeve tattoos.
Dude, that last one HURTS! As a independent massage therapist, I've heard so many other MT's talking about people trying to just walk out of the session without paying by saying that they left their wallet in the car, then just driving off when they went to go get it. I'm not ashamed to say that I take payment first. I hope that person got their money some how.
Omfg i just wanna say I'm so sorry and annoyed to hear that!!! I had massage as part of physio a few years ago after a car accident, and never once did I leave without going to the front desk to make sure my insurance was still going through, and when my insurance ran out, even if the people at the desk were busy, I'd sit and wait to make sure I'd paid. Was expensive, but so worth it. That MT did wonders for my shoulder and back. I still have problems sometimes with my shoulder, but I have a strong feeling itd be much worse without my physio and massage.
If I were in a similar career, I'd be taking payments first, too. I cant understand the entitlement, honestly. If you want a free massage, go wiggle around on some rocks or something

We used to get that regularly in the salon world as well. Somone will give the client exactly what they asked for and the client seems satisfied.
Then,out of the blue the client will refuse to pay at the front desk saying how they "ruined their hair".
Yes, stylists can make mistakes. However, can easily tell the difference between a "mistake" and when a client simply just is being a cheapskate.

Or they said they loved it so so much and they wanna see you again in a week -"I'll just leave your gratuity at the front desk". Ten mins later, the front desk girl comes back, "The client said she left the tip with you. Did she?" Le sigh... the service life.

My favorite response to an influencer's request was from a restaurant in Greece. The influencer had about 1,100 followers and asked for a free meal for 8 people in exchange for pictures and publicity. The restaurant responded, "are you missing a few zeros in your follower total?"

ALWAYS get everything in writing. My friend negotiated a contract with a business verbally for us to paint a mural on their building. I told him he should get it in writing but he was like it's my neighbor and I trust them. Low and behold we never got paid for the job and they didn't even pay for the paint. Hard lesson learned... but karma eventually got them and they went out of business.

7:02 Some people at yard sales will always try to get something virtually for free. Keep in mind that the seller isn't just trying to get rid of old junk, they may need the money for something important.
At my last yard sale a lady wanted a sweater with the tag still on for a quarter. This lady broke 3 maching picture frames then walked away. Affgg
I love a good deal at yard sales, but I’m not gonna be an ass about it if I haggle and they say no. I’ll consider if the price is worth it and how much I really want/need it. If I don’t then I’ll put it back. Normally you get a really good deal at sales anyway. I’ve gotten shoes that look new for $1, but I’ve also spent a few bucks for jeans. You’re always gonna get a huge discount off of retail or what even someone would charge for it used on eBay, Craigslist, Mercari, etc.
So true. We had our catalytic convertor stolen so we had to have yard sales to fix the car. People were trying to haggle on already insanely low pricing. We even had some things stolen while occupied with other customers despite all the obvious cameras on our house and signs posted. BTW a month later they caught the Meth head that was going around stealing the convertors and of course we will never see any money from that.
The person that wanted to get their baby a phone for their "first birthday." No. The phone was for her. That phone was for the parent. THEY wanted the phone. Lol
I know some parents who gave their 2yo a smartphone. They got a package deal, and gave the kid the spare. The kid broke it almost immediately. 🤣

No joke, many years ago, I was in a shoe store & saw this seven year old with a phone TEXTING. I guess she needed ballet slippers. Her mom was talking with the sales associate & the girl herself was being such a princess picking away at her phone. She had a phone while I didn't (I was 8)

The problem with renting one of those "over $100k" cars is they are usually classified as "exotics" and are SUPER expensive to rent. I remember looking at renting a Corvette C4 when I was last in Vegas and it was about $1000 per day. No way a choosing-begger will shell out that kind of $$$. They want it for free.
It also depends on location. I live in AZ and rented an i8 for 250 a day. Best 250 I've ever spent.
I'd be so tempted to joyride the hell out of one of those 😆
@@EddieThePenguin Oh I know that since I was in Vegas, that they were charging a premium for high rollers. Orlando was the same way. Best deal I ever got was when I flew into Tampa on business and ended up renting a Challenger for only $25/day. They ran out of my class of car and ended up upgrading me for free.
@@munkeefinkelbeen5395 The problem with renting exotics is the insurance. Most rental insurance will not cover that level of car. So if you wreck it, or get into an accident, you are screwed!

We weren’t invited to attend my cousin’s wedding, but they did invite us to send gifts. 🙃 Of course, this was the case for every family member on her dad’s side, but all of the family members on her mom’s were invited for the wedding and all other celebrations. Needless to say, I sent a lovely message on Facebook.

Cripes yes, retired now, did it for 25yrs! It got to the point I wouldn’t even go out with a group of girls because I’d somehow end up doing everyone’s hair, then we’d go out, everyone polluted and having a great time. And I’m now sober as a judge because of being too busy doing everyone’s hair to have a drink and my own hair that looked like the wrath of God because in the end, who had time to do their own? I'm really upset about the last one. I've given piano lessons when I was in highschool and was paid by the hour. While I didn't have anything like that happen to me, I totally understand what they're going through. Damn, that's so shitty. I hope things work out for them.
I am sick of woman using the single mom excuse to get free things or services. It sounds like they want pity. I was a single mom , worked hard to support my kids and never asked for anything free. Everybody is working hard why would I think I am different because I am not married and have children? I was proud of myself for making a good life for them.

Kudos to you! The problem today is this overwhelming sense of entitlement that has been instilled into people. They believe they are owed things because they are attractive or poor or black or many other things that are being indoctrinated into their immature brains and it’s truly frightening. I enjoy your videos concerning entitled people. My wife and I were on a Metro train in Hong Kong, sitting in the seats reserved for people with disabilities/needs. I had a broken leg, and my wife was 7 months pregnant. A woman with a toddler got on the train and demanded we relinquish our seats because she felt that she and her child deserved them more than we did. When a Chinese gentleman pointed out she was being a 'but po' she claimed that she hadn't noticed.

I have a website and people message everyday saying they can help us, an when we look at their page they have around 100-200 followers with 5-6 likes per post lol mostly we just ignore them.
I’ve seen the “5$ minimum” thing before, but it was to make purchases on a credit or debit card. if you wanted to pay cash there was no minimum so I’m just gonna be overly optimistic and hope that’s what they meant 🤷♀️

I think it was a fresh diy salad bar. On the picture you can see open containers. So in affect I what they meant was 5$ minimum value of salads are to be added.
We have a store that does just that, buy with cash all you want, but credit cards will be $5 minimum. I'm not a banker, but why would debit cards also have the $5 minimum? Do point-of-sale machines not classify them as akin to cash instead of credit?
@@Culdcepter They have a $5 minimum because the store is charged a fee on each transaction. Discover cards are the worst. If you have a debit there isn't a fee but credit cards do charge fees.
The restaurant I work at actually just passed the fee to the customers, so if you use a credit card there's an extra fee it's a percentage of the total bill. Same thing with tips, if you tip your server on a credit card there is a fee. It's taken out of the tips, it's not a whole lot but it does add up.

Charlotte, these are my fav vids of yours. LOVE them all, but THESE are SO relatable to all us normal fucks...........I believe the formal term for entitled people is simply "narcissists". I've know so many, Ive literally read up and studied that type for YEARS. You can do nothing for them, only treat the ppl in their lives so they know how to handle them. I have stories for DAYS, but my most recent encounter was a lady in my town. I do a paper route overnight. So does she, in the same county as me. (small town nebraska) She had her first baby, so I did her route for a few days to help out. Long story short, once i learned her route, she CONSTANTLY asks me to do it. She doesn't pay me, shes supposed to, but I wont hear from her for about a week after I do it, then she acts like she just cant call or text me so when I just happen to see her she awkwardly pulls out her wallet. I stopped her this last time. I felt if i didn't take the money then I can be more comfortable telling her im not doing it. So the next time she asked, I flat out said no. No reason, other than I just didn't want to. She also has asked me SEVERAL times to babysit since she had the baby. My kids are all grown, and I've NEVER been a babysitter. I just dont do it. Not everyone is down for that. She threw a FIT the last time I told her NO. She then said, "well hes kind of colicky, so if you cant do it im sure your mom could" SHES NEVER MET MY MOM, who lives in the next town over. I gave her another big fat NO to that. she screamed" WHY WONT SOMEONE HELP ME ITS JUST 3 HOURS THREE DAYS A WEEK!!!(what really irks me is, right after she had that baby she told me herself she was getting federal assistance for child care and wanted to find someone to regularly babysit other than a daycare so she could pocket some of the money) People like this seem to see ppl around them as "resources" and when you dont fullfill that for them THATS when their true colors come out. She wont even speak to me now, so all is well!!! You normal ppl hang in there!! Just keep telling them NO.
The one who was upset because the guy 'Sold it' before she got back to him....I can just imagine if he hadn't sold it, she'd have asked for it to be delivered, and then for it to be free, and then for him to pay her for taking it off his hands.
I think it’s courtesy to give them time. When I’ve had more than one person,I say it’s pending and I’ll get back to them in a day or two.

My sister has had 3 40 inch TVs broken by her kids within a month. I used my tax return and bought a 65 inch tv for my living room and she asked for it because "the kids want to watch movies in the livingroom".

I was so happy that my friends came to my wedding I didn't care if they gave me a gift or not (most of my parents friends gave me gifts, my friends are broke, I got a Mokona amigurumi as a wedding gift and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it) I had friends who couldn't come send me money. If people are expecting you to give them stuff for their wedding you're probably going to the wrong type of wedding, then again, my hubby and me drove to the party on my dad's Toyota Hilux, not a 100k car, so apparently I'm doing weddings wrong(?)
Toyota Hilux is a good truck. Only sold in Asia, I think. My father has one.

At my highly specialized craft/profession/way I pay for everything in my life, I frequently have clients try to get me to lower the price AFTER they have agreed to a price and I have completed the project. It's all custom work, so I think they think I will give them a discount because the thing is basically useless to me.
I always want to ask them what they would think if their boss handed them a paycheck that didn't reflect the salary they agreed to nor the hours they worked. "I know I told you I would pay you $1000 for a week's work, but I've decided that since you have done all the work and can't get your time back, I'm only going to pay you half."

I know! My friend is a photographer, and so many people give her crap for requiring the sitting fee before the session. I don't know why people think your time and expertise shouldn't be paid for. The best for photographers are parents who don't want to pay for baby photos because the kid was cranky or wouldn't open their eyes!
Same here. I usually ask for 50% upfront to avoid this issue, but im a sucker for sob stories and a bit of a softie. It really sucks dude, sending love and appreciation for whatever you do❤️
This is why I stopped doing the work first and then hope I'm getting paid. I now get paid up front or I walk. One of the benefits of being your own boss. Most people understand as I explain to them I've been burned too many times to count, but there are still some that balk and those ones I just walk away from as my Red Alert suddenly goes off. For my line of work it's not like I can undo the work I've done when it's done, otherwise I'd be fine with them trying to screw me and I'd undo whatever I did.
Some people are just looking for a free ride and they don't get that just because I fixed it in 10 minutes and charged you an hour - this isn't a scam. It's my skill to know how to fix it in 10 minutes. That's what you're paying for. Be glad I only charged the 1 hour minimum. Sure you could pay less to Little Jimmy down the street, but then you'd be looking at several hours to do what I did in 10 minutes.

Thank heavens my moods aren't dependent on the sun. I've lived in near total darkness since 2002 (genetic disorder featuring photalgia - lucky me. LOL). You got me thinking - if I was dependent on light for my moods, does my situation mean I have NO mood, or that I 'd be in a constant bad mood? Seriously though, I get my mood from my daily Charlay/Potato Queen fix. Lifts my spirits every day!

When i got married... i barely got anything... 60% of the guests didn't give a gift or money or even a thank you or good wishes card left in my wishing well.. it was a bit sad but i wasn't shocked that people didn't even care enough to either talk to me, or leave me a congrats card that was sitting next to the darn well... with pens... The pens were taken though... and i wasn't even a mean bride... i was nice to everyone and i couldn't even get my bridesmaid to take me to the shop the day before to get some last minute items. It was the second worst experience I've ever had. My elderly cat passing away in my arms was the most worst
That's definitely a horrible thing to have happen on what is supposed to be a happy day. It sucks when it feels like the people around us don't really care about us. I hope the person you married was better to you than your wedding guests were.

I knew of a woman who milked the government assistance programs. She kept having kids to keep her lights on. In her state, you can't have a kid under two in a house with no electricity. On top of that, she had a chinchilla, which requires fresh fruit as part of its diet.

That last one did hurt so much. People like that (for example music instruments teachers) don't really get paid that much, they work various hours, and lot of them have really bad contracts at the music schools.
Guys, if you want your kid to learn an instrument, pay the teacher and make the kid practice in between, of course it won't learn quick otherwise.
And if the kid doesn't want to practice, let it be! You don't need to spend money on the teacher then though. Win-win.
Part of learning anything is having a good teacher, but a larger part is practicing on your own!

Shortest date I ever had was with an entitled girl that told me she expected men to be like an atm machine in a relationship where she basically could just buy and withdraw whatever she wanted from them. I guess she wasn’t looking for the answer that I guess that meant we were going to the bedroom first to make a few good faith deposits before hand 🤷🏻♂️. As a college student who is starting to teach private lessons, that last one physically hurt me. Music is not something learned in one day. I had times where I would see zero progress in myself for weeks at a time then all of a sudden it would click. It can take months sometimes to really start seeing results when the kid first starts lessons, especially if they’re not practicing at home🙄

Had to subscribe because your content is so funny because a "Entitled Karen" happened to me. It was a different kind story due to me being a turbine mechanic and I travel a lot.
It boils down to a "Karen" cost my employer over $200,000, and her "boyfriend", who was also my supervisor, was a valued employee and was not going to be fired... till his girlfriend let loose her "entitlement". He was not only Fired, but thanks to "Karen", he also was blacklisted and his professional license was revoked. Costing him a LOT of money for YEARS!!!

The yard sale story reminds me of one I saw. They didn’t have everything marked and wanted like $30/leggings. They were kinda ugly but looked comfy (I was a new mom, barely left the house). I expected $3-5 each. “But these are Lulularoe” Do you mean Lulu Lemon? “No, Lulularoe. They are expensive and limited editions.” Yeah, no. The Lulularoe documentary came out a year later. I doubt they sold the leggings for more than $10 each.

Ugh, the last one hits home. I teach ESL in Korea. I had a high school student not show up for tutoring. If class was at my house, whatever. No, I had to go somewhere else. Her friends, also my students, said she didn’t do her homework so just didn’t show up. I had to argue with her dad over whether he needs to pay or not. It is customary that if the student cancels within 12 or 24 hours, you usually pay. I’m nice about it about it and if I haven’t left my house yet, let it slide. It is 100% standard that if a student doesn’t show up, you absolutely pay. You pay for that hour of my time, not my fault you don’t show up.
Dad pulled the, “No one told me that in Korean so I didn’t know. It doesn’t count.”BS. The person he talked to insisted to both of us, he was providing the use of his cram school and connecting us, that’s it. That’s the extent of his involvement.
At the time, the parents prepaid weekly. Her dad hadn’t paid yet but she showed up anyway. I had class with her, assuming in good faith that it just slipped his mind. Nope. He messaged later that day and said it was her last class. I asked for payment, he said he had paid for it already, the class she skipped. I told him that’s unacceptable and to never contact me again. I let the person who introduced us know what happened and washed my hands of it. Payment issues have only happened twice in 15 years so these parents are definitely a minority.

I get the entitlement in the dating apps. There comes a time when you've been on dating apps for a while and you get the same crappy messages from the same type of crappy people over and over again and you get frustrated so then you change your bio to something like that because you're just over it. The 5 dollar minimum looks to be specifically for a type of food bar? Maybe in the convenience store. Also the entitled ones to me are the ones begging for free stuff so much that the business had to put up the sign in the first place. I've seen $5 minimums with credit card places at mom and pop stores because each swipe costs them so if it isn't a certain amount it does more harm than good. Just saying I don't think the store is entitled in that one.

I’m a disabled veteran, and I politely asked if the restaurant offered a veteran discount. Next thing I know a group eating next to us started mocking me by asking for various discounts. I know longer ask. I just show the wait staff my VA card because the mocking really hurt.
The people mocking you are arseholes. Please don't allow those of no value to get you down. Continue to ask for every single discount there is---you've paid for it with your service to the country.
I’m glad you do let the staff know because you deserve those discounts. I can’t believe they had the audacity to mock a veteran. It angers me. And depending on these people’s age group, I bet some are getting student discounts for transportation and such, while those who are 65+ are getting senior discounts.
