Famimaga Video Issue 9 [Jan. 1990] VHS Rip

- We're nearing the final stretch of the Famimaga Video series, and as it winds down you can see the publisher experimenting with the format a little. This episode skips the standard preview approach for a hands-on live report from a gaming event, which includes a conversation between Dragon Quest designer Yuji Horii and EarthBound scribe Shigesato Itoi. The end also brings us a very length dive into the Atari Lynx-an import novelty of note-and SuperGrafx. Also among the heavy-hitters this time around, the fourth Dragon Quest and third Final Fantasy, Castlevania III, and a ton of Game Boy material. 1990 was hoppin'!
You'll want to turn on auto-translated subtitles for this, especially the Horii/Ito interview!
Recorded from a Panasonic S-VHS deck and upscaled to 720p via Retrotink 5X.
You may of course freely use portions of this video for your own work as needed! All I ask for my efforts in getting this material online is a small credit in your video or footnotes.

Please keep these coming!
Castlevania always makes these VHS videos better, and it's nice to see previews of the great 1990 Famicom RPG showdown. Nice to also see coverage of Game Boy, PC Engine and Mega Drive.
Combat Zone was released as "Battle Storm" and yes, the "we swear it's not those famous actors" are still in the game, haha.
The Ultraman game at 5:42 is "Ultraman Club 2". 「倶楽部」 in romaji is "kurabu", which literally means "club". Another example of a game with those kanji is "Famicom Detective Club".
