Great video. Really like seeing a full size pickup on the trails. Gets old seeing Jeeps Jeeps and more Jeeps. Makes me feel like I can get my F150 FX4 out there and ride some.
The section north of Sampson, around fighting gap (last tight switchback) was impassible for us last night. 3-4 foot deep washed out ruts on left side of trail with not enough shoulder to avoid.
Found your channel last week and trying to get caught up. We live in the PNW. Have a 94 4Runner and a 87. We get out as much as we can. Your videos are very well put together, great content and superb narrative. Keep them coming. Have never been in those parts of the woods. Grew up in Colorado, Arizona, and the finger lakes region of UpstateNY.
Loving the videos! From Louisville here and we just stumbled on your videos from Facebook posts and were doing the same long weekend trips as you. Great to know trail conditions and pace. Keep it up!
Howdy from Edgewood New Mexico. Great video. Looking forward to seeing kentucky in the spring. Looking to move out there. Perhaps around danville. Want soil, water and the opportunity to start a small farm .
Hello, thanks for the compliment! Kentucky is a pretty cool place. We are looking for to seeing your part of the world as we are doing a 3 week trip out that way late summer of 21. Thanks for reaching out and when you get here, we will show you around some!
@@CoddiwompleOverland thanks for the invite. All my stuff (tires and lift). Are on back order until late June. I hope to have my Tacoma ready by late July.
This trail is named by locals as the "16 creeks" trail. many of the local folks hope to keep it there little secret..lol. dont think its going to remain that way much longer. There is alot more riding in that area as well.
I really do enjoy your videos. Nice to see what’s around my back yard so to speak. I’m looking at incorporating a part of the KAT to do put together a modified Bourbon Trail. Any off road suggestions up closer to the distilleries?
@@CoddiwompleOverland I am planning on building an overlander, looking at the Gladiator Rubicon. Probably going to wait until the end of the year but definitely like that gladiator. New to New Jeeps, old skool guy. Had a 77 CJ5 and a 69 Jeepster Commando. Looking to get back to the jeep life.
Really love these videos! Trying to find where you all began the trial in this video. Wanting to hit this part of the KAT. Is there anyway I could get these coordinates from Gaia? Thanks guys.
Great video, really enjoyed it. Just went on a couple of the DBBB and had a blast. Where do you find your maps because we struggled with that & at times became frustrated trying to figure out where we needed to go(neither vehicle had a Garmin or similar device just phones)
Great channel I just discovered your channel last week and your content is fantastic. There should be some way that we can clone Deb she is amazing. I've found what might be the trail you're on. Is the Clear Creek track marked in the KAT gpx or was it an alternate route you guys took?
Glad you found the channel! Thank you for the awesome compliments! You are absolutely 💯 correct that Deb is amazing!!!! However, I'm not sure the world could handle 2 of her..🤣. Clear Creek is part of the KAT main route just west of Middlesboro. Thanks for watching.
If I wanted to do just this section of the trail, where would it start and end? I have an old group of military guys that would probably enjoy this section with a night of camping. From the looks of it, it's not too technical and wouldn't tear up our vehicles.
Did the Ram end up with some pinstriping down the sides lol? I'm from Ohio, took my F250 to Colorado in August, now I'm looking at some places closer to home that will fit my truck. Taking it to Utah next year, but wanna get in some trails before then, that's still a long ways away lol.
Awesome video! We are thinking about coming down to run some of the KAT and this section looks awesome. Did you stay on the KAT Main 3 4x4 track? And any chance you would know the approximate location of where day 2 started?
Sent you folks a message on Instagram. Have a couple questions on this one and we’ll be coming in from a long way off. Thanks in advance for any assist you can help with. 👍
No, it has been an old county road . There are actually old house locations along it. Not much left but you van tell that houses and other structures once stood at these locations
We are heading out for the KAT in October. How many miles do you travel in a day? We have 3 jeeps that are pretty capable and experienced drives. Just trying to get a rough feel for the distance we can travel in a day. Thanks!
We usually get around 100 miles a day but we take our time. We film and sight see a lot. We also don't get in a hurry about leaving camp and set camp up atound 5. So it all depends on how long you want your driving days to be and how often you want to stop. Hope this help.... Have fun and be safe!
@@CoddiwompleOverland Awesome! Your videos have been the best videos I have found on the KAT. If you ever decide to head up to Michigan for some overlanding I can tell you all the good spots to go.

Just did this section today in a mostly stock (not lifted) TRD OR. You’re definitely going to want skid plates for clear creek. Otherwise doable. Just smacked the underside, a lot.

Haha I don't doubt it but us full size guys like a little representation so we can show our wives and say "see, we could totally do that!" lol
