It looked like they were not ready until they got into Oilers end. Then it was like different totally dominating team had born. And again couple of seconds later Edmonton was all over them again and they had difficulties to get over the blue line. I watched the gam in 200% speed which reveals the hockey thing even in small TV screen broadcast.

Pickard showed his weakness to the Nucks on the goal that they shot into skates that deflected in, you attack Pickard E/W not from the points with long shots/deflections because he comes out farther that bigger guys to reduce angles more, so hes quite effective when you use the perimeter shots deflecvted on him, so all you need to do is make shot-passes to the sides of the net a bit closer in than Horcoffs sweetspot where Draisaitl likes to take his one-timers form. In short Pickard gambles and comes out to reduce angles and stop frontal attacks .... this leavers him vulnerable to the E/W attacks and toe wraparounds, he has to skate backwards to close those Gaps and quick-release shots from his sides rip him apart as he recovers. Soooo feed him a few perimeter shots early 1-2-3 then go right to the shot-passes to his side finished quickstrike as ne-timers or snapshots....you dont have to 1-time it you will have time to use a quick-release snapshot or wrister.

You guys are lucky to have won a game lol. Edmonton has outplayed and out chanced the canucks by a large margin. It has only been the fantastic work of your goalie that has kept this series as close as it is. Like do you honestly think the Canucks can go far when most nights they don't even get 20 shots! Skinner couldn't stop a beach ball that's the only reason you have won the 2 games you did.

The Canucks certainly outplayed Edmonton tonight especially considering the refereeing. I’m not one that ever criticizes the refs but I’ve seen even Oilers fans and coaches and broadcasters from all over the place discussing this “charging” penalty on Pettersson. Standing still penalty more like. And suspending and penalizing anyone that gets within two feet of Connor McJesus. If YT let you attach links I would attach the one I just read about the NHL Player Safety League being biased this way, noting multiple incidents about McJesus plus some other teams (they aren’t pulling for any one team over the other). Since I’m sure Oilers fans will just tell me I’m being biased. 🤦‍♀️
