Typical Emma at the end, jumping to conclusions before getting all the facts, she SERIOUSLY thought her mom put her dad in that home like she would have the authority to do that🤷♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I remembered reading a Book by Richard Peck called Father Figure where James "Jim" Atwater and his Brother Byron go visit their Father in Miami Beach, Florida in the 1970's. Jim feels that his Father Howard left them and their Mother Barbara killed herself. When Jim heard the "truth" he was stunned. Theirs was a Shotgun Marriage because of their Older Sister Lorraine. Also Barbara may have been Bipolar before anyone knew what it was. They made peace and Byron stayed with Howard for School.
Yeah I didn’t like that either, it’s like when Shane became mental Spike basically cut him outta her life like he wasn’t the father of her daughter or something, unless the parent of my kid(s) wants nothing to do with them, I’ll be sure to make sure they can see them
She was a teenager. They weren't friends and after the accident she didn't know if he was safe to be around. Shane had violent tendencies. How is this Spikes fault again?
@@chaosspy6723 Ok and…??? That doesn’t mean she couldn’t have Emma visit him at the assisted living home where he stayed, it’s not like Shane was gonna live with Emma, what law says you can’t VISIT someone
@phillyeaglesforlife5127 It's bad parenting to have your child around someone you don't think is safe. That's literally neglect. child neglect is illegal.
No, after seeing what happened with Shane at The Home, she was scared Emma would be hurt again. Also it's not as though his Parents tried to help her. The Father was a minister but he turned his back on his own grandchild. I still feel there were alot of closets in the McKay Family. Sometimes I wonder if Carl was Shane's "Real" Father who was his Big Brother, or if Shane was the result of an affair. In Degrassi or Soaps, anything is possible.
J-Roc baby
Also...what’s the song at the beginning lol
I cried so hard when Shane said
“Don’t cry it’s okay dadas here now daddy’s here”
Same here 😢

This episode really hits home for me. I was recently introduced to my own biological father.
J to the R O C just drank too much of Ricky's de-energizer, gnomesayin
Your child has every right to know who their mother or father is. If you want them not to contact them for safety reasons, that’s understandable.
This makes me wanna cry 😢

I kno what ur saying but she never let Emma kno the truth wish he would have more of a impact on her life

Poor Emma didn't know what to say or do to console him; her mom abandoned Shane at least in my opinion.

Is it really a good idea to give sharp knitting needles to a person having a violent outburst?
Knitting is the only thing that calms him

The acid made him jump off a bridge. It wasn't the drugs that made him retarded.
How did jonathan torrens not get a gemini nomination for this?
This isn't Shane. I wonder why the original actor wasn't in it
They wanted him to be involved but he either couldn’t be located or wasn’t interested.
@@jarredahhow could he be approached if not located
I never watched the new generation, I can't believe this is J-Roc from Trailer Park Boys, and I'm now just finding out 😂
Sad turn off events.
I blame his mom honestly
