Manny’s on a mission this year-it’s bye bye cute and hello hot. That means midriff baring tops, low-riders and thongs. Too bad her visible underwear runs afoul of Mr. Raditch’s Code of Conduct. So Manny decides to circumvent the rules-by not wearing any underwear at all. Manny’s riding high on her new found popularity, at least among the guys. Even JT’s got a crush on her! But Manny’s new look comes with some new behaviour and Emma’s decides she’s had enough of her best friend’s new attitude. Forced to choose between her new look and her best friend, Manny decides popularity‘s more fun.
Craig and the guys decide to form a band and Joey offers them the garage as a practice space. Seeing the guys play brings back fond memories of “The Zits” and Joey’s soon offering the guys some un-asked for advice. And when he captures the guys complaining about him on videotape, he has to face the fact that that time in his life as passed.
Season 3 opens with the pending arrival of a new baby for Spike and Snake, inspiring Emma to start a search for her birth father just as she starts high school. Her friends and fellow schoolmates also face new challenges as they settle into a new school year. Degrassi kids will continue to deal with tough issues this year, including homosexuality, cutting, abuse, teen pregnancy and cancer. These storylines are blended with dating woes, friendship challenges, peer pressure and a healthy dose of fun and laughter.

Yeah, I'm glad the writers never went that route with a Manny/Sean pair. They both respected each other's places in Emma's life and wouldn't of hurt her like that. So, I think that was the one thing I give the writers credit for.

I just think Emma was overreacting. Manny never said she liked JT she only said maybe and yeah her outfits are a little too much, but maybe Emma could have just said they could go shopping and get sexy clothes that are still appropriate.

I so agree Charlotte! That's probably how the other guys felt too just because Manny was dressing a certain way they felt attracted to her. I like how you described it too, with the "mask". I think all along JT did like Liberty but just didn't want to admit it until later because in high school people and so called "friends" put pressures on you to not hang out with certain people and look "cool". Glad I'm not in high school anymore. I think things have gotten worse with phones and cyberbullying. I think it is cool that I graduated the same year Emma and all them did though, 2007. But yeah, JT and Manny=NO lol.
