I think people try to justify a lot of Clay’s own actions and problems by attributing them to other characters
What bloberta did to him was manipulative and awful, Yes but I feel like they are only trying to understand Clay’s side and putting all the blame and responsibility on Bloberta and completely leaving out Bloberta thought process behind her actions (it doesn’t justify it at all, but I don’t think she is the genius manipulator everyone makes her out to he) she originally thought alcohol “relaxed” people judging by her relationship with her father (the most stable relationship she has in her life) and she didn’t knew it would have that effect on Clay.
Clay was a person plagued by personal issues before meeting bloberta and I think the alcohol and his eventual marriage made everything worse and made his personal issues come to light.
there are far too many factors and reasons for why Clay turned out the way he did, his childhood, bad relationships with his father, his sheltered upbringing , her mother’s death, the values and awful society he lived in, the alcohol, his eventual loveless marriage with Bloberta etc.
Bloberta may be a factor but she isn’t the only reason nor the Ailey responsible for the way Clay turned out, both characters are very flawed and complex on their own right.
The most accurate analyzation of these two characters I’ve ever read about these two characters, very well said!
I agree that Bloberta is not a monster like Clay to a degree but she is a very big part of why things turned out worst than they could’ve through countless decisions that are not just this one but well into their marriage. Reason why I prefer and like the idea that in the version we have she and Clay are still together. It in some silly ways shows that both even though they hate each other, won’t leave each other for what I think is more than just society pressures.
To me they deserve each other and not one deserves to be more miserable than the other.
Something that I notice is that Clay's intention to just be alone and have "things that last" seems to be really setting up his original destination if we got the whole 5 seasons with him just being alone. I feel like in someway that would make him happy but we clearly see it doesn't and only causes him to just think about what he feels are the worst aspects of his life.
So in a way Bloberta ruined him, but gave him something a bit more that maybe later in his life he can just accept as being an alight life.
Cly was always a broken person
But meeting liberta ( at least I believe that's her name )Made him worst
The guy never had a chance but at least moral learned not to be like his dad by the end of the series
Bliberta Hymentact - "hymen intact" 👍
Bloberta
Actually it’s quite the opposite his dad just wanted his son to say he was sorry for what he did to to his mother. Later on they tried to patch things up but Clays selfishness wouldn’t allow it.
1:45 I mean she is not wrong, we even drink wine in a lot of the church's tradition, hell his blood is represented as wine.
Never force someone to drink or let them drink at their own pace or else you'll end up like this couple
Bloberta didn't force Clay, she pressured him to.
0:07 "No foreplay" the subtle details in this show is amazing!
...and that almost scratched out sticker "bachelor for life" LOL 😆
Ms. Hymentact "hymen intact" 👍
Okay, reboot the series and finish the actual story please
So all in all, it was her fault she married man like she did. No wonder she always felt their relationship was ship wreck but still kept going with it.
This also explains why Orel is so Jesus lover.
Your best show :( sucks how it couldn’t have been fully made
Poor Clay. He was forced to drink and then get married when HE DIDN'T WANT TO! I love this show but the adults in this show are horrible people. Clay COULD HAVE turned into a good person but Bloberta had to feel accomplished and "Helped" Clay
Clint was a terrible kid who indirectly killed his mother and became a bad father to Orel. With that being said I do agree with you, this period of time in his life, he was a nice man. Bloberta was an outcast in her family and just wanted to be happy and found him. Bloberta brought out a bad part of him that was deep down inside from when he was a kid when she introduced him to drinking. Clay and Bloberta could have been happily married together if there weren’t any selfish reasons to “improve” the relationship when they first met. That is a good point you brought up, everyone likes to blame Clay immediately because of what he has done to Orel. If you look at this scene however, you can see he made a turnaround in his life from his past as a kid. He was willing to have a good and happy life. People say Clay is irredeemable, but I think he is deep down inside. He needs to get rid of Bloberta, she could have been a good wife but manipulated him the second she got a chance, she’s the real reason why their marriage is on the brink of collapse.
@@Delta_NWAB747fan like he obviously feels pain for what he did as a kid. Saying it bluntly that his parents are dead but it wasn't a blood bath. He doesn't tell bloberta it was him because he wanted to try and find a new friend
All the characters in Moral Orel are horrible, that's the point.
LOL don’t try to talk about characters when you can’t even get their names right. _Bloberta_ did not “force” _Clay_ to drink. Also Bloberta genuinely did think that alcohol makes people “better” judging by her father. I’m not excusing or defending her when she manipulated him into marriage, but she is NOT responsible for a grownass man being an abusive alcoholic.
@@definitelynotsiri4058 that's not what I was saying.
"Moral relativism says morality is relative, not absolute, I want to show moral relativism, in its popular form, is logically incoherent" - Michael Myers
It was nice seeing Millie happy
Man, do i love this show
So this is how they meet
I miss this show so much
It's so interesting to see how Clay was before Bloberta---he's still a walking red flag, for sure. But it's interesting to see how differently he carried himself, and wonder where he and his issues would have wound up if had just let Bloberta walk away from him the next morning.
This is why you don't take the red pill
Was this show made by the same team that did Robot Chicken?
Don't think so, maybe some people but not the entire team
moral orel, except clay never got married and is just some nice but stressed mayor whos a bit too close to the town school's coach
Yes! I love this episode
very cool!
All the comments blaming Bloberta for Clays cruelty, couldn’t be more wrong 😭. Clay was still a broken and awful person before drinking. Hs bad trait of Clay wanting attention wether its good or bad was shown when he was a child. He’d rather get bitch slapped by his father than get ignored by him. This could show him insulting all those others at the bar that one episode ( when he blew up at the priest, cop, doctor, and nurse), would've happened down the line whenever he inevitablly crashed out, WITHOUT alcohol at play. And most comments here blaming Bloberta for Clays behavior go on about how Clays a broken man with a bad past, “coincidentally” ignores how Blorbertas is also broken with a sad past 💀. And I don't think Bloberta is the one who told Clay to do shit like cheat on her and beat Oral. Orals parents are just both people with reasons for being terrible, but has no justification for how they treat those around them.
Funny man
Praise Jesus
Bloberta was the cause for all the misery in the show
No she wasn’t lol
side eye
Perfect example of how toxic women can ruin a good man
Not saying that he was a good man but the way that he explains of what he was gonna do later in life was ruined by her just for clout
I reccomend that you watch the show for context
@@itzfroggi22 I did
You give her too much credit over his life and his continuous decisions.
(calls Clay a good man) not saying that he was a good man
