I want to thank you for posting this video. This is a beautiful lei and the color combination is stunning. I made it for my nephew, he loves the ocean. I spent several hour doing the lei. It came out beautifully. You have taught all of us a valuable skill to create something so beautiful. Thank you again.
Mahalo for teaching us how to make these beautiful leis! My mom used to go to the U’i Mau shop and take lessons, so bummed they had to close down a few years ago. I’m so happy I stumbled on your video and read the comments section - I immediately told my mom they have an online shop. Best prices for ribbon, even in mainland. I can’t wait to get started on making these for friends and family. It is a labor of love, for sure, so I really appreciate you teaching us! 🌺💚
You can buy a kukui nut lei and use it separately or substitute another larger bead in place of the kukui nut. www.etsy.com/shop/AlohaRibbonCrafts?ref=seller-platform-mcnav§ion_id=49873933
So far the best-looking one I have seen. Perfect.
Thank you for watching !

Thank you for sharing ❤ Can I use 25mm ribbon instead of 7/8”?
Can be made in any size. The thickness of the finished lei will vary.
So talented! 😍 How long approx would it take an amateur lol to make?
Maybe 2 days? Maybe more.
@ ooooo maybe a week for me then haha Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for this! :)
Glad you like it!
❤❤❤
Thank you for watching !
Beautiful lei! Mahalo for sharing! Where do you get the Mongo shells from?
I bought it at a local store in Hawaii.
So beautiful!! How many yards of each color? Even approximate would be helpful!
I use 100-yard rolls of ribbon, but I think 25-yard rolls of each color would work, too.
Where do you purchase your ribbon from
www.papermart.com/p/fabric-satin-ribbon/9914 or uimauamau.com/collections/satin

Can I use 5/8 instead 7/8 ribbon?
I noticed you didn't say how many yards for each ribbon color?
So beautiful! Thank you for doing these videos. Lots of love put into it.
That’s beautiful! How many flowers in all?
I haven't counted them, but it's about 500 or more.
500 or 50? 😳
I cant find Kukui bead here
