How to wire the Honeywell 5800RP wireless signal repeater to be used with either Honeywell LYNX or Vista compatible security systems.
Honeywell’s 5800RP is a wireless repeater that extends the range of 5800 Series RF devices. For installations that require increased RF range, the 5800RP eliminates the need to run wires to a remotely installed secondary receiver and also eliminates the need to upgrade to a larger control panel that supports two receivers. The 5800RP also has a rechargeable backup battery that in the event of a power outage can give you 6 hours of backup power.

Installing one of these now because got a 5828 keypad that keeps saying system isn't armed when it is. So guessing it's losing signal. Hopefully this 5800rp fixes it.

What happens if you use a dc power supply
and how do you programm this to an L5200 panel?
+Marco Martinez This device does not need to be programmed to the Honeywell L5200 it is a basic plug and play.
Thank you for your question on the Honeywell 5800RP. No, the repeaters will be plug and play and allow you to start transmitting wireless rf signals about an extra 150 feet. Do you already have your Vista 20p monitored for dispatching or total connect remote control?
Do you need to program anything for vista20?
Thank you for your question on the Honeywell 5800RP. No, the repeaters will be plug and play and allow you to start transmitting wireless rf signals about an extra 150 feet but, you must have a wireless receiver such as a honeywell 6160rf keypad or a wireless receiver . Do you already have your Vista 20p monitored for dispatching or total connect remote control? either way contact us at 1-877-443-6276 option 3 and we will be happy to assist you.
All the copper on those transformer connections could have been smushed under the screws instead of just a portion of it. Sloppy.
better but not necessary.
