Different bedroom to wife of 40 years cos she snores VERY loudly. All else is fine, sleep divorce is a ridiculous name as I am closer to my wife than ever but sleeping together as in the actual act of going to sleep in the same bed is near impossible, not a problem, just keeps things happy.
Different strokes for different folks. This description may/can work for some, be harmful for others. The term divorce should be removed for those couples where this description is effective for them
Marriage can be wonderful, but not every aspect is always perfect. Something as simple as snoring might cause the other person to be unable to sleep. Separate beds can help. Flexibility and understanding mutual and individual needs can be the key to success.
@@smitch2023 I have spent my entire career trying to figure out if the complaints people come to me with are superficial or if they are more severe. If they are more of everyday marital complaints, there might be solutions they never thought of, and maybe having some insight can help them stay in an otherwise happy marriage. I digress...

My parents are like that for 5 years but they are still very close and in love at daytime
They are called roommates

I do not disagree with you at all. It is a pejorative term describing something that is probably quite common.

like the tv show, "I Love Lucy"
That is exactly right. The concept is as old as time, but it is more prevalent today than perhaps in recent memory.
They were still in the same room. Rob and Laura were as well.
@@gregorylatta8159 I am going to look at some classic tv shows and see what other characters had this arrangement.
