Wu Tang is named after the Wudang warriors in the Wudang mountains, kind of a counterpart to the Shaolin warriors from the Shaolin members. They are both often big players and sometimes rivals in old Wuxia movies, Chinese action movies literally meaning "Martial Heroes." They were inspired by Wuxia movies and to a slightly lesser extent Chanbara movies, old Japanese Samurai/Sword action movies. Shaolin irl is where both Gung-Fu (Kung-Fu) and Zen Buddhism were founded. A buddhist monk from India migrated to China and taught the people there his ways, and it invented the Zen sect of the buddhist religion. Gung-Fu was actually invented as a way for the monks to become fit after they noticed hours of meditating left their bodies too weak, which conversely made meditation harder. Hence the invention of Warrior Monks, they were a major player in Chinese wars, nowadays they're still highly political but not nearly as relevant to actual conflicts anymore.

Old earth is slang for grandma, and you should listen to Wu Tang with rap genius lyrics cause most of their music will go over your heads .... Great job on your channel, you guys are very entertaining
wu TANG is actually a mistranslation. Its supposed to be wuDANG. When they were dubbing the old kung fu flicks they changed wuDANG to wuTang. Wudang is a mountain where the munks would practice taoism and kungfu.
A lot of rappers copied their style they originated a lot of things and became very big in the rock scene as well and did a whole tour with Rage Against The Machine. Wu Tang Clan is a name that they got from the old kung fu movies they used to watch, SPECIFICALLY Shaolin VS The Wu Tang. A lot of them got their names from the movies as well. Also kids can be tried as adults.
Raekwon is his actual last name. They send you to Jail if your conviction is under a year. They send you to prison if you get 366 days or longer. Depending on the severity of your crime they may try you as an adult which will get you sent to jail not juvi.
I think the biggest take from this reaction is you guys just got to understand the language. Cuz Wu-Tang speak street slang but also 5 percenter lingo. They're God body, so they take on Muslim way of living. So once you understand the language everything else just come to you.

Yoo guys Wu Tang is the best Hip Hop group ever , and to start is better with the " Protect your neck" song! They even intruduce all the members there
Sick I cant wait!
Also nobody sound like them Wu-Tang had there own style like no other that’s why people loved there music to this day there still relevant there logos still on shirts and at the time no other NYC rappers was out of Staton Island a lot of rappers came from Brooklyn Harlem and The Bronx
The sound is def legendary. I think that's why Steven says hes heard it before.
Damn there are so many bars that go right through y'all head real whyte boy lmao nothing wrong with that. The old Earth bar is the Earth we live on 😂 yall need to keep up with the slang i appreciate y'all
Well thanks to yall next time around we will know way more Wu Slang! Peace n love
I've noticed that "people" with a more musical background love the more out there production. Not so musically in tune people love a more simpler production approach
Yes. We've listened deeply to the basics.
Old earth is slang for grandma, and you should listen to Wu Tang with rap genius lyrics cause most of their music will go over your heads .... Great job on your channel, you guys are very entertaining
Thank you so much!
wu TANG is actually a mistranslation. Its supposed to be wuDANG. When they were dubbing the old kung fu flicks they changed wuDANG to wuTang. Wudang is a mountain where the munks would practice taoism and kungfu.
Check out some of Big L's stuff like - Lifestylez Of Poor And Dangerous, All Black, Timez Iz Hard, Danger Zone, ull love it)
Seek the old earth is the mother's advice
No, no, no. Raekwon is his rap name. His real name is Corey Woods.
Yall didn't even listen to it
No?
Wu Tang stands for Witty Unpredictable Talented And Naturally Gifted
That's so fucking dope. this is the first comment explaining that!
Elvis in the background tells me everything I need to know.
Stick to that.
Thanks!
🤔😐 Dude, they isn't the junior chamber of commerce, Brad😁 one day, maybe they'll do some folk songs😂🤣😂(Rocky HPS)
Wu Tang is for real
Wu tang. Ice cream. Youll love it
👍👍
Should check out Wu-Tang clan- Triumph, to hear all members rap.
Dope thank you!
I think the biggest take from this reaction is you guys just got to understand the language. Cuz Wu-Tang speak street slang but also 5 percenter lingo. They're God body, so they take on Muslim way of living. So once you understand the language everything else just come to you.
Blunts mixed with Crack= Woolies
Thus the line... Crack n Weed made my Eyes bleed (red eyes).
Hell yeah!
Woolah - mix of crack and weed. New York slang. Also known as 51s iin Jersey and everywhere else.
Dope
@@BandHouseStudios Yeah, we called it that, too.
I’m going follow suit and suggest protect ya neck which has all of them original members except one on the song. And it’s a lot more digestible
thanks!
A woolie is a Blunt With Weed & Coke
Bruh homies always be talking right during the transition
Terrible
In Virginia they send 15 year old kids to prison also.
